“They executed upon all of their promises.”
Oct 11, 2019
Trace Software’s team efficiently delivered a good product in a timely manner. They were generous in implementing additional features that were outside of the original scope of work. While the engagement ended due to geographical inconvenience, the collaboration was otherwise a perfect one.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing director at Rolla Academy, an educational training establishment based in Dubai.
What challenge were you trying to address with Trace Software?
We needed SEO and web development work. We already had a site, but wanted to create a new one.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Trace Software developed our company website in WordPress. We requested a number of plug-in integrations to the website, including a site chatbot through which anyone could contact us. They also implemented SEO work to increase our digital visibility.
What is the team composition?
I was in touch with three people from their team.
How much have you invested with them?
The total cost was around 15,000 UAE dirhams (around $4000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Trace Software in July 2017, and the engagement lasted until mid-2018. We replaced them with a local company because it was challenging to work with an offshore provider.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They executed upon all of their promises. They delivered everything perfectly in a timely manner. The website was great, and they even took the initiative to implement suggested improvements to the website.
When we experienced server problems a year after launch, they were quick to resolve it. We appreciated that fast turnaround time.
How did Trace Software perform from a project management standpoint?
Although we ended up seeking out a local partner, our communication was usually through email. We used WebEx for longer discussions.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Although we agreed on a fixed price, we ended up implementing features that were not originally in the agreement. Trace Software was willing to produce those at no additional charge, and they added suggested functionalities as a complimentary gesture.
Also, their responsiveness was better than that of other companies that we’ve worked with.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
They’re a professional team, and I would advise anyone looking to work with them to go ahead. The only reason we’re not working with them anymore is that they’re not based in our country.
