I’m the dealer principal of Mazda of Stoney Creek.

What challenge were you trying to address with Toronto Auto Consulting?
We wanted to update our used car department.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They worked with us to change some of our processes around used car remarketing. It was a big job, but our sales have basically doubled within six months. We used vAuto to its full capabilities and focused more on the process than on the content.

I’ve only worked with Jon (General Manager, Toronto Auto Consulting).
How did you come to work with Toronto Auto Consulting?
I worked with Jon before. He came up with a plan that seemed feasible, so we followed his suggestions and executed his ideas.
How much have you invested with them?
We customized a fee schedule with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with TAC on a fulltime basis between April–October 2018. They continue to work with us on a very part-time basis, just for maintenance.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They implemented their initiatives and adopted a vAuto way of doing business. Our efforts resulted in a used car business that contributes positively to the rest of our business. That department brings us much more traffic and allows us to sell more used cars as a result. We also have a certified pre-owned program, which is another good way to market our products. Their work with one department had a huge impact on our company as a whole.
How did Toronto Auto Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?
They were very hands-on and involved. They built reports and continue to send us updates. We have a weekly in-person meeting and are in constant contact via phone and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They accomplished all of the goals we set at the beginning of the process without disrupting our business.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They delivered beyond what I was expecting; I don’t think we missed anything. It was a really great collaboration for us.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
We set a target in the beginning and focused on our goals. It’s easy to get sidetracked in these situations, but they kept us focused and ensured our success.
