They started with a discovery workshop, mapping out key user flows and setting up some hypothesis they wanted to test. Once we had some basic prototypes, we shared those with our users, gathered feedback and iterated. They then started to build a visual design system, designed all the flows, edge cases, documentation for handoff and helped us define a roadmap for v2.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• We’ve never seen such a smooth hand-off from designers, everything was well prepared and documented, our our engineers were able to go full speed from day 1. 
• They’ve also exceed our expectations for the user satisfaction metrics that we’ve defined during one of our workshops.

We agreed to work in weekly sprints, each of them having their defined deliverables. Daily communication was done via Slack and Zoom calls.

We didn’t expect so much valuable insight outside of just design. Tonik was a tremendous help in defining our monetization and user acquisition and retention strategies.

We weren’t able to scale up the team right away when we wanted, but I understand that’s subject to availability and not entirely in their control.

I’m the co-founder of Unfreeze, a platform for game developers allowing them to implement Web3 features in their games, without hiring expensive blockchain developers.

For what projects/services did your company hire tonik?

When we first contacted Tonik, we were still a pre-seed company and as such needed to get off the ground quickly to generate interest from potential investors.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Multiple people in my network had good experiences with them.

We started off with a branding workshop and quickly (in days!) spun out a new website. Once that was done, we started working on the first product prototypes and iterated on them until they were ready for development. Tonik also facilitated a ton of strategy work and customer research, which proved to provide crucial insights. They also designed our investment deck.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had a team of two designers and a project manager, supported from some other people in the company.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Everything was executed beautifully. On top of that, I was very impressed with the amount of business insights tonik provided, which was a huge factor in shaping the final form of the product.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Super transparent with multiple daily updates, they were also quick to resolve any questions/feedback via Slack.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were able to talk us out of something we wanted, but didn’t necessarily need. Instead of charging us for this, we managed to save time and capital, which is a rare approach for B2B companies from my experience.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Shorter lead times would’ve been nice. Our kick-off date was scheduled for 3 weeks in advance.

Our goal was to create a website that, despite being well designed, consistent with our brand, will also be optimized for the user and SEO.

Through their dribble profile. We were amazed by their project and sense of aesthetics.

1. designing of all subpages (more than 15 tabs).
2. creating printed materials (including elements for fairs, leaflets, etc.)

absolutely great, fast responses, no "missing messages", great support. We used Slack for communications and had a few personal meetings.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

You don't have to worry about the outcome that something might go wrong. You can sit, relax, and wait for the impressive results. That what's makes tonik great!

Are there any areas for improvement?

ZERO! Everything was perfect.
