We started by creating a small brand standard. Since they didn’t have one, we wanted to establish color palettes and fonts that would be used throughout the website. Once the brand standard was approved, we created designs for the homepage, collection, and a specific product page. While we were doing that, working closely with the client, we mapped out the logic that would be needed to complete the product customizer.
With our help, the client teamed with Celigo to create a sandbox “testing account” to link Shopify and NetSuite. Once testing was completed, the client moved from the sandbox environment to production with our help. We lent our knowledge of the process to help with troubleshooting and testing of the process.
Simultaneously, our team worked out the logistics and logic to complete the product customizer. Some of the big hurdles we overcame where; color, material, patch size, and icon branding on the patches. Once completed, we developed the code and tested everything with the client using our Minimum viable product (MVP) process with our feedback loop via Trello. Once approved we moved to a full build with accompanying documentation.
As we closed towards launch, our SEO team, working from our site scrape, began the task of writing/uploading all 301s based upon data from Google Analytics Traffic, Google Search Console and Google Rankings.
The final task was writing a custom program that allowed the customer to go back and check order status after the successful launch, ensuring customers were top priority.

For eight years our business had been run on a custom built e-commerce platform. Over time it had become increasingly cumbersome to manage and make enhancements to it. When we ultimately decided on migrating to Shopify, we wanted to choose a design and development partner that we felt would understand our business’s unique needs and work with us to put the best experience in front of our customers possible. We had a challenging set of requirements due to our large and diverse product catalog combined with multiple backend systems all requiring different points of integration.
Tomorrows Designs was able to work with our internal stakeholders and e-commerce team to create a new and improved shopping experience for our customers that paid immediate dividends for us. They balanced our requests with their knowledge of customer behaviors to complete the site in our tight timeline. We just enjoyed a Christmas shopping season with record breaking conversion rates and a drastic reduction in customer complaints.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the marketing director at Fast Back Ropes Inc. We’re a rope manufacturing business.
What challenge were you trying to address with Tomorrows Designs?
We wanted a retail shopping website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I had all of our materials ready, including product images and information, and then Tomorrows Designs used Shopify to do the development. They used a theme and customized it, and they also did some design work. I wanted shipping capabilities, and I wanted the ability to maintain it and make changes myself.
What is the team composition?
Robert (Owner) was my main point of contact, and I also worked with another teammate.
How did you come to work with Tomorrows Designs?
I found them on Google, and they had good reviews and were highly rated on Shopify. They were also close enough geographically that I felt comfortable.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent less than $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them from December 2019–March 2020. I occasionally reach out to them if I need to have some coding done.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It was successful. We didn’t have a store prior, and Tomorrows Designs followed through on what they said they would do. The website is responsive and works exactly like it’s supposed to.
How did Tomorrows Designs perform from a project management standpoint?
They were really easy to work with and very accessible. It was a great working relationship. Robert even made a trip out here to see our facility. They had a good understanding of what we wanted to accomplish and made the process painless. We used email to communicate.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re a high-integrity team. They do what they say they’ll do.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not that I can think of.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be prepared, and know what you want as much as possible. If you don’t have the knowledge that you need, Tomorrows Designs will be able to help you.
Tomorrows Designs delivered exactly as promised, making for a successful partnership. The team made themselves available, and their understanding of the business’ needs resulted in a seamless process. Their integrity was also particularly notable.
