We transfer, scan, and restore old movie films in a variety of formats. I'm the president of the company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Titan Web Development?

Our website at the time was about ten years old. It looked outdated and didn't scale properly with mobile devices.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We went through an iterative process. They looked over the existing site and its details, then they came up with an initial proposal and prototype. That allowed us to visualize what the site might look like. Over about six weeks, we established the design, detail levels, and layout. We wanted all the old links to match the new ones, and we had a few other legacy items that needed to be worked out. I believe they used a product called Webflow.

What is the team composition?

We had one main point of contact. I'm not sure how many other team members worked behind the scenes.

How did you come to work with Titan Web Development?

I can't remember if they contacted us, or if we contacted them. Whatever the case, I was confident that they could achieve what we wanted within our price range.

How much have you invested with them?

I believe we spent around $4,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in June 2018, and we finished in either late September or early October 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everything works as advertised across all platforms, and it gives us the UI we were looking for. It looks very fresh, and works well with several resolutions. The project met all our goals, and the content speaks to customers looking for cursory information and to customers who want to discover more. The site has collapsible items that make it both easy to navigate and rich in detail.

How did Titan Web Development perform from a project management standpoint?

On a regular basis, we met to go over the latest iteration and any concerns. We also had frequent email and text exchanges. Their responsiveness was very good, and we usually heard back from them within an hour or two.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most important aspect of design is a good understanding of the customer and the need. That's definitely one of their strengths. They knew what information was important, and they built on what already worked for us. The format has our end users in mind, and the finished product is very relatable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The move from prototype to code was good, but we did have to tweak the code on several pages. I have a technological background, but other business owners might be lost in that process. A lot of that came down to the tool they used. Titan could help bridge that gap by providing more post-coding as needed.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The combination of regular meetings and conferencing worked well for us. We also appreciated the access to a key contact within the company. That balance should be ideal for any company like ours.
