BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a project director at the Native American Development Corporation, a nonprofit organization doing community business and economic development for tribal and Native communities.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Tinhorn Consulting, LLC?
We were looking for someone that could kick off our social media marketing.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Tinhorn organized a quick campaign, putting together some social media posts on Facebook and Instagram. The team focused on getting feedback and buy-in from people, encouraging brand and product awareness.
They created a lot of the content, using the logo and brand that we already had in various posts.
What is the team composition?
We primarily work with April (Owner & Founder).
How did you come to work with Tinhorn Consulting, LLC?
April had done a training breakout session at one of our conferences last year. One of our staff members was really familiar with her and her work, and she recommended her to us. We reached out to a few other Native firms, but she was very responsive and felt like the best fit.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since June 2020. The campaign was three weeks long, but Tinhorn provides ongoing services on an as-needed basis.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
In the three weeks of the campaign, we reached over 17,000 users. We got some really good feedback, especially from our target audience. Tinhorn helped us achieve exactly what we were looking for.
How did Tinhorn Consulting, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?
April managed the project really well. She was very time-sensitive and responsive to our needs. She did a great job of asking the right questions and figuring out exactly what it was needed. We communicated over Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Being another Native American firm, Tinhorn was able to really understand our target market. They helped develop our strategies really effectively. April was also really engaging.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing that really comes to mind. Tinhorn did really high-quality work in a short amount of time.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Come to the conversation with what you’re hoping to get out of the engagement, have great communication, and Tinhorn will respond accordingly.
