Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Commugen LTD. We’re a startup that has developed a no-code platform.
What challenge were you trying to address with TheRoad?
We wanted to expand operations outside of Israel and raise capital, so we needed help in those two areas.
What was the scope of their involvement?
TheRoad helped us with business development. Their team helped us acquire a national grant. They worked with us on the application, writing process, and behind the scenes. What’s more, they also prepared materials for the roadshow, which is currently a work in progress. Their team introduced us to potential investors and business partners.
What is the team composition?
I mainly work with Yoel (Founder & Consultant).
How did you come to work with TheRoad?
I joined a meetup that Yoel hosted. After attending several times, I felt he’d be a good fit for the company.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested between $50,000–$100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in April 2017, and our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We needed his excellent knowledge, connections and ability to focus on details I don’t pay attention to. It’s difficult to quantify the contribution, but he was instrumental in winning the grant and other potential deals. I’m happy with the collaboration.
How did TheRoad perform from a project management standpoint?
Yoel is an excellent communicator. We meet face-to-face on a weekly basis but will meet more or less as needed. Sometimes we also communicate through email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Yoel is committed to helping his clients. He truly cares.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Sometimes his focus is too broad when I’d like it to be more specific.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be sure to understand there is a minimum engagement needed to achieve results.

Him I am Erez Even, the CEO of Driveit. Drivevit develops a platform that connects rental companies and users and helps to maximize the utilization of rental car fleets on one hand and to improve the driver experience on the other hand.

TheRoad helped us with the process of raising an investment for our company. They helped with writing a financial plan and improving our pitch deck as well as with making sure we are ready for the process of fund raising. The company provided important and useful information that helps us till now.

I read an article of Yoel who works at the company. We had a long conversation that helped we to decide that he is the one who can accompany my company and provide me a high level of knowledge

We went through the pitch deck pages, one by one. We gave attention to any data and detail. Yoel, who helped with that, challenged my assumptions and information I provided. And.. sent me to make homework.. which was very helpful. We also worked on our financial plan. Here, again, Yoel went trough any detail and helped to complete it. We had many discussion which was enriching and led to a successful result.

Due to our joint project, the business is presented more clearly and professionally.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Excellent! Yoel was very accessible. A big plus! Sometimes he responded one minute after receiving my email or message. Also, we completed the project very fast. Very appreciated.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Yoel has a vast experience and established several startups in the past so he can help and contribute a lot to entrepreneurs and startups. Second, it looks like they really want to help. We agreed on specific number of working hours. The company didn't require extra payment for extra hours of assistance it gave to us. (We plan to pay soon :) )

I am satisfied with TheRoad.
