Digital Solution
INDIO is a fastly growing app provider for the insurance companies. Its revolutionary digital solution for the insurance application and renewal process app gain remarkable attention in the US. As the marked is mostly paperbased, the achievement is even bigger.
Services Provided:
HR process
Trainings
Software testing
Process testing
Automation
Integration testing
The Challenge:
Multiplicity of services that the insurance companies provide reflect in need of compliance with everything. Integration with multiple partners is also the key success factor. Therefor the planning for each round of testing needed to be done thoroughly so that no serious bug in any configuration could appear on production. Testing team had to be upscaled quickly. There was no time to wait anymore for the candidate that would fulfill all the requirements. Testspring recruited talented junior testers for competitive price and quickly trained required skills making them valuable addition to the team.
Lessons learned:
It's worth to invest time in informal test planning to order day to day activities.
Seniority cannot be measured as "how long someone was doing this thing".
Sometimes the best option is to hire juniors and train them to exactly match the process and requirements. This allows big savings - therefore bigger team.
Automation of API testing should be considered at early stages of the project.

Configuration and Testing
MAERSK is a leading logistics and supply chain company mostly known for their carriers and containers services. After deciding to support new 4pl services with custom software, there was need of software delivery process setup.
Services Provided:
Testing
Configuration
Solution Design
Process design
Trainings (Project Management with Agile, Requirements Engineering),
Test Automation (UI)
API testing automation
The Challenge:
Multiple implementations for biggest brands across the globe.
Quality Assurance team needed to be able to script and configure.
Strong knowledge of REST required.
Lessons learned:
You should always approach a new project based on principles instead of analogies.
Quality Assurance specialists need to be versatile and flexible.
One should always look for automation of the simple, everyday, common tasks
The best way to boost quality is to improve most often repeated processes.

WMS Implementation Support
UNILIVER is a widly known manufacturer with over XXXX brands. CEVA signed a contract to implement and operate a cold storage warehouse servicing CET countries and Baltic countries. As a part of new approach Testspring has been asked to plan, carry out and verify tests in order to make sure that the software setup of warehouse management system and operational processes are complient with UNILEVER'S business process manual.
Services Provided:
Desktop app testing
Mobile terminals testing
Process testing
Adjusting operational procedures
Creating workarounds
Creating training materials
Leading UAT testing with client
Carrying out end user trainings
Supporting go live on-site
The Challenge:
24/7 warehouse with big volume comming through each day requires continous uptime with minimum error.
Business processes were very strict.
Bug fixing was done by the software vendor
Interfaces needed to be tested with different scenarios generating different outcomes
3rd party middleware was inbetween Unilever's SAP and Ceva's WMS
Lessons learned:
It's good to have a Hat and Scarf in the chilled warehouse, especially when you are supporting go-live on site.
Real life testing is the most crucial part of WMS implementation.
Many Bugs may be found during end user training so it's wise to do it as early as possible.
While working with 3rd party software you need to always assume that the bugs reported will not be fixed - therefore workarounds are always required in such a case.

WMS Implementation
CEVA logistics is 3pl operator that has been given a task to implement a WMS system in newly acquired factory and warehouse. The owner - Microsoft - had to become manufacturer after buying NOKIA. We have been supporting the implementation for Microsoft on behalf of CEVA
Services Provided:
Desktop app testing
Mobile terminal testing
Process testing
Adjusting operational procedures
Creating workarounds
Creating training materials
Training local QA team
Carrying out end user trainings
Supporting go live on-site
The Challenge:
The system and stock were not in balance. End users had low technical skills. Language barrier existed. The timeline was tight. Factory had to carry out plans based on predictions - this means every faulty delivery from the warehouse would stop the manufacturing process and result in less model of a phone made.
Lessons learned:
Language barrier is not neglectable. Users have to be trained multiple times. In a 24/7 warehouses proper hand over procedure is required during go lives to maintain high quality of delivery and low error rate. Every procedure has to have a workaround in case of system failure.

QA Testing for Transport & Logistics Company
"I think they outperform our internal teams."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the global head of 4PL deployment for a transport and logistics company. I’m responsible to deploy all the software related to our 4PL activities.
What challenge were you trying to address with Testspring?
We wanted to increase the quality of our deliveries. We didn’t have a testing framework. Every test was done manually. We wanted to create an automated testing system.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They laid down a complete automated best framework for us with very simple to use test scripts. They used a Selenium framework. On top of that, they wrote their own framework that better suit our application. They also helped us with configuration and trained our new consultants. They did the training and helped with configuration where needed on the different projects.
What is the team composition?
We’re working with a team of 10 people.
How did you come to work with Testspring?
I’d worked closely with Habib (CEO) previously. When we needed extra resources, we went to them and asked if they could help us out.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about €250,000 (approximately $303,027 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2018, and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our testing process went from taking three weeks to taking less than one week for each release. In terms of projects, they have run a couple of projects on their own. We normally do 10 projects every year. Out of the 10, they did three of them by themselves, and the others were involved with one or two resources.
How did Testspring perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management was done by another team. Communication with them, however, is brilliant. I think they outperform our internal teams. Their team introduced us to a new Oracle application that we now use for project management. We used Azure DevOps for all the testing.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Everything that they did was a big help. The training they did for all the new consultants was also great. Within a month, the new consultants were able to do at least light configuration tasks.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they did everything as we requested, and they even went beyond the scope.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Treat them as one of your own employees. The more they know, the better they can help you out.
As a result of Testspring’s work, the client saw a reduction in the amount of time it takes to complete testing. The team’s communication and organizational skills were excellent. They went above and beyond to satisfy the client’s needs.
