We’d had our previous web site and branding for more than 10 years so while it worked at the time, it had become very outdated, and didn’t reflect the service we offered and the direction we were moving in. We wanted updated, modern branding across our web site and marketing materials. Most traffic comes through property portals, but we still wanted the site to be SEO friendly.

This was the first time we had gone to an external, professional agency, so it was important that we felt comfortable with them and that they would guide us through the process to get the best result. After interviewing a few agencies, Tenscope was the one we felt understood our objectives and would work with us best. The fact that they were remote wasn’t an issue for us – in fact we saw it as an advantage as the majority of our customer base was moving online.

The project started with a branding questionnaire followed by a series of video calls to understand our current customer base, positioning, and where we wanted to move with this in terms of target positioning. They asked us for: brands we like, logos, colour schemes etc.and then used these to create mood boards which helped us narrow down what we were looking for.

Then they created 3 rounds of proposals for the logo, colour scheme, and typography, and we narrowed it down to the final version. Then based on the new branding, Tenscope created a large, 50-page web site for us, responsive for viewing on desktop and mobile. They also made the site SEO-friendly, based on meta tags and image descriptions etc.

The deliverables were a full branding project covering: logo, visual identity and brand book, web site design and development, social media profile graphics, presentation template, and other property document templates. In terms of technologies used, this was

• Adobe Illustrator for the branding
• Photoshop for the design
• and straight HTML / CSS / Javascript for the web site.

We worked mainly with a Creative Lead at Tenscope. This gave us a single point of contact who coordinated the Tenscope team. I think they had a brand designer, web designer, and web developer working on the project, but for us it was a seamless process, just dealing with one person.

Tenscope worked closely with us to create a strong brand and a great web site which really helps current and potential customers get a good feel for our company. I have been very happy with the service and the attention to detail.

As a property business we operate in the physical world, dealing face-to-face with clients. While I think they normally use Slack or other such messaging tools, we appreciated that they were happy to hop on a video call whenever we wanted to discuss progress. They guided us through the whole process and we always felt confident that we would get a good outcome, which we did.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The other agencies we spoke to seemed to want to get straight into designing, without really spending the time to understand the business or what we were trying to achieve.

Speaking to the leads at Tenscope, we saw pretty quickly that their backgrounds are in business as much as in design, so you feel like you’re talking to someone who “gets it”. That way they were able to come up with good suggestions in terms of our marketing approach – it was good to have someone who came with their own ideas and opinions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

As I mentioned before we don’t have a lot of experience dealing with agencies, so we don’t have a lot to compare the experience to. But from my point of view there’s nothing really to fault. We’re not a tech company but we felt that they really made the effort to adapt to our working style.

• Our clients noticed our rebranding, and we received a lot more attention due to our new, eye-grabbing visual style. We now look fresh and new, but we still have the main components that make our brand recognizable. It's the best of both worlds.

My main concern about rebranding was losing our brand's initial look and feel. We wanted a better e-learning platform, we had an existing website which we wanted to re-design to boost our online strategy and for this we needed a reliable agency.

We googled for web development agencies and shortlisted 10-12 agencies and interviewed them, interviewed all the companies and found Tenscope more engaging and knowledgeable, Tenscope also provides other marketing services which we can take advantage of so we have given this task to Tenscope.

We did first call for interview and after selecting this agency called again then they took brief description of our business and they came to know about our goals regarding website, after that the project manager introduced us to his development team and together they made a proposal. In the proposal they included technologies that would enable the site to reach our goals. We gave them a series of sites as samples and once the budget and timeline were finalized between us, they explained the wireframes and mockups and got ready to go ahead with the project.

A few days later, he sent the progress report and we gave the feedback to him, this process continued throughout the project. We built a site in PHP on a WordPress platform with the WooCommerce plug-in. We have integrated customer relationship management with the site, we are trying to automate our sales functions to increase the efficiency of the site, the agency has paid special attention to the data collection and visitor tracking of the site which is valuable.

We initially spoke to the project manager and he introduced us to other members of the development team, the team consisted of 2 developers and 2 designers and also an e-commerce specialist who was guiding everyone during the design.

Our website site looks absolutely amazing. it has been launched and is working its magic. It is attractive and its new features are positively improving the image of our company. We have taken a very right initiative by adding the feature of customer relationship management, it will save our time due to automated process and customer data management, we will also take SEO services in future to take it further.

Our project manager was very knowledgeable and patient, he had good work experience, he listened carefully to our requirements and goals and gave us confidence, completed the work within the time frame he gave us for web redesign, The development team took all the necessary information from us and there was communication between us from time to time, project reports were received on time and transparency was maintained.

We looked at a couple of agencies in the initial process of planning our project. We were sure we needed a professional design studio capable of understanding our vision and also executing it with precision.

Tenscope offered a great portfolio, and much of what they did in the past matched perfectly with what we wanted our note-taking app to feel like. It wasn't long after we found them that we hired them to work for us. It was a great decision.

When we first started our communication, Tenscope onboarded us by making sure all parties understood the scope of work and what was to be delivered by the end of the project. At first we discussed our idea of how we see the future of our company, what our key references are, and the basic look and feel we wanted to achieve. Tenscope asked us the right questions to determine exactly what our vision was. The next step was delivering our brand book and all the assets we had so far.

Shortly after, we received mood boards to have a look and feel of several directions our app can move in. We decided on one, and they got to work. Soon, Tenscope delivered the first wireframes for the UX, and we had several calls to discuss user journeys and important features. I am really happy with how I was a part of the process through all the initial stages. We also received a high-fidelity mockup and approved it for development.

By the end of the project, Tenscope supplied us with the following:

• A complete design system for our fully-featured note-taking app, including Figma files, component libraries, and carefully mapped-out user journeys.
• A fully working prototype was designed to test our app's main features.
• The initial HTML / CSS / Javascript build of our software.

Tenscope understood our goal and delivered a great product that was exactly what we were looking for. There were no missed deadlines, and the project was finished by the time we planned. This was really important to us since we had to show our MVP to some initial investors.

Their project manager handles the roadmap, and team leads from both the creative and development side give daily updates on what they are working on and what is ready for review by us.

We had weekly meetings with them to discuss the process, and everything was really smooth. We mostly talked through scheduled video calls for important issues and handled the small things via email.

Our main concern was shifting deadlines which we couldn't afford due to having a couple of investors to whom we needed to show our product.

We’ve worked with other agencies before, and I knew how things could start to get off track, but Tenscope kept the desired pace and delivered everything on time. We even had time to test and review before we were ready to present to our investors.

After selecting the company, we met them and presented our goals in the meeting, we also put forward the suggestions of our current users, the Tenscope team listened to us and after a few hours presented their plan, which also included some new ideas that our users suggested.

We liked their plan and asked them to start working by providing the required data, in about 2 months they completed their work and we put the app in front of users for testing so that we can finalize the product, after users' consent and positive reviews, we would work on deploying the final product to Apple and Google.

We are happy with the final product, the design that the team has provided for us is really unique and simple, the design has been appreciated by our investors as well as users and the reviews have been positive, The UI is very attractive and gives a new look to the app. Our longtime users say that the new design makes processes that used to be complicated seem simpler and they're more than ready to embrace it.

Our project manager was very responsible, he used to update us regularly about the actual status of the project, the communication between the team was very smooth, the project manager cares about the project as much as we do. Special attention was paid to the deadline and our project was completed before time.

We hired Tenscope to help us enhance our platform both in terms of functionality and our UX and UI. We wanted an agency that can conduct research, scan the market, see what could potentially single us out from our competitors and implement that knowledge back into our product.

How did you select this vendor?

We needed an agency that has strength in both market research and product design. I think not all agencies are fit to do both and that’s why it is hard to find collaborators who have those skills. Most brands hire two agencies for this and we were lucky to find Tenscope and have an all-in-one experience with them.

The first task was market research. Tenscope did a fantastic job of analyzing the market and understanding what our competitors lacked in terms of functionality and UX/UI. We had a series of video calls on the subject and they suggested a couple of features which we took into consideration. We ended up listening to their advice and it lifted our product to the next level. The next step was for Tenscope to rework our UX and UI and to implement what they suggested.

This was no easy task but their teams were highly efficient and delivered a great prototype for us to test out. We had a couple of weeks to review the prototype and once we agreed on a final version, their designers worked with our development team to implement all the changes. I’m really happy with how they handled the implementation phase. In the end we received:

• Competitor research overview which helped us understand what we lacked as a platform.
• An updated UI/UX system which they designed and implemented as well as Figma files for future iterations.

A great project manager handled the communication with our team and the majority of work was done through him. We occasionally had a video call with the whole development team but it was mostly this one point of contact handling all the updates, calls and emails.

We are very happy with the end result of this project as it really improved the functionality of our app and enhanced the potential of our platform. Our new functionalities and updated UX/UI greatly helped us reach new users and receive better reviews.

As I mentioned before, Tenscope’s project manager handled most of the communication via email and scheduled weekly video calls. We got frequent updates and were there each step of the way. It was a very professional and smooth experience since we always knew who we could talk to.

What impressed me the most is the team’s ability to think of new solutions to some of our industry’s biggest problems. They were very efficient in finding ways to make our company stand out in the market. I must say that Tenscope single-handedly contributed towards increasing our revenue.
