Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
We have worked with Tek's on a range of projects, starting with a small one tocreate an existing iOS app for android byreplicating all the design and functionality elements. This went really well, was delivering on time, on budget and worked. The team were professional and knowledgable and helped make the process easy. Our next and largest project with Teks was the shift from an old Flash website to HTML. This involved a complete redesign and redevelopment of the user website, adminitration program to set up and run the programs as well as a new database. The greatest challenge was changing Flash animations so they could be viewed in the new HTML5 interface - this was something we were not certain that we could actually achieve. Teks collaborated with other members of our team - animators and coding specialists - and did a significant amount of problem solving to reach a successful outcome.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The knowledge and experience they have to quickly understand our brief and the knowledge to explain the best way to achieve it. Creation of a functioning event website in the timeframe require. The successful shift of the animation output from Flash to HTML5. The speed with which any issues are resolved.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Their project management is really well organised and items are delivered on time and on budget. They responded to any queries or issues quickly and effectively resolving them to minimise any user disruption. Our different time zones worked really well for us as we could often communicate later in the day and by the time we were up in the morning, work had been completed.
What was your primary form of communication with Teksmobile/Teknowledge?
Virtual Meeting

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The peace of mind that I have working with them is invaluable to me. I know that they will get on with what they need to do, ask me for more information if they need it and then deliver a quality product on time and budget. This is very different to past experience with developers, so I value this incredibly highly.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Teksmobile/Teknowledge could have done differently?
No, I am really happy with the way we work together and the quality of their work.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the CEO of HelloMind, an app development company within the mental health sector. We have an app for Android and iOS whose core function is to deliver mental health programs as efficiently as possible so people don't face technical barriers.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Teksmobile/Teknowledge?
We needed development work that wasn't as costly as in Denmark, from people used to working with iOS and Android. Our ideal partner was a company with a full staff to have a long-term relationship with them.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Teksmobile/Teknowledge has developed our iOS and Android applications. We handled the design on our side and provided them with the wireframes. They gave us feedback on what to improve, what could be done, and what couldn't be. We made some modifications based on their feedback.
Our requests included a transparent interface for the users, considering that many wouldn't be tech-savvy. Teksmobile/Teknowledge has developed a system to play audio files and send them within the app and through our backend. They've also helped us with cybersecurity, set up hosting on AWS, and integrated the app into our website. The app uses an algorithm to make the best treatment available for the users on their own devices.
What is the team composition?
We've worked with three people from Teksmobile/Teknowledge, and Hussain (CEO) is our main point of contact.
How did you come to work with Teksmobile/Teknowledge?
We had been working with another developer and ran into issues with Apple's servers. Our provider couldn't figure it out at the time, so I needed to find someone who could. Teksmobile/Teknowledge signed up for the job through a freelance site and said they could fix our issue. Once they had addressed the initial problem, they found other issues, so we decided to switch providers.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent about $150,000–$170,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in 2011, and our partnership is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Teksmobile/Teknowledge has good work quality and does internal testing. While we have found errors during our testing, the team is very quick to correct mistakes. We have a 4.5-star rating and over 12,000 reviews on the App Store, with over 2 million downloads.
They also have a fast response time, which is crucial when working at a distance. The team is very proactive in suggesting ways to improve things and solutions we should consider. Additionally, they have effective communication and a good price point, which is important for us.
How did Teksmobile/Teknowledge perform from a project management standpoint?
We use Discord to communicate at the moment, though we've used Slack and Trello in the past. Although timelines are always longer than initially planned, it's always within reason, so we don't have a problem with that.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I'm most impressed by Teksmobile/Teknowledge's skillsets — they know what they're doing.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Overall, everything has worked really great, so I don't have any significant issues. Although we've had small issues, we appreciate that we've had a steady group of developers.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you describe what you want in great detail. Teksmobile/Teknowledge will create what you've told them to make, so if you're missing something, they might not find out you needed it.

client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Trotjot is a mobile app that helps users document their travels. I’m a co-founder and the director of the organization.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Teksmobile/Teknowledge?
We needed assistance in developing the app.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Teksmobile’s tech and business analyst created the business logic and user stories based on the wireframes we provided. We approached this as a design exercise, and her business analysis expertise helped us identify the things we hadn’t thought of and the gaps in the flow. We also determined the feasibility of the app in doing this, in terms of how third-party API calls affected the app’s loading time.
The developers started building the app after that. We had Skype calls with them to look at the prototype, review how it was connected to the database, and so on. They built the platform as a web and mobile app.
They were also quite generous in hosting the app on their servers during development so that we wouldn’t have to waste money on a paid server until it was launched.
What is the team composition?
I worked with their business analyst and three iOS developers, one of which was the team lead. I also worked closely with Hussain (CEO), who gave me advice that the developers couldn’t or wouldn’t provide. He was honest and transparent in that sense. I interacted with 5–6 people overall.
How did you come to work with Teksmobile/Teknowledge?
We spent quite a bit of time looking for a development house. We’ve all worked in tech, so we knew how laden with jargon it was, and how hard it would be to identify a substandard product as a result. We made Google searches and looked at different platforms, including Freelancer. Teksmobile came up in one of our searches, at a point when we were sending our brief to whoever sounded reasonable.
Teksmobile’s reply stood out from the rest. They weren’t faffing around or undercutting the price, and what they said sounded reasonable. We weren’t techies, but we understood what development timelines look like. They couldn’t have said that they’d deliver it in a week or for $2,000.
We got into a dialogue and sent them initial Sketch prototypes for feedback. The conversation spanned over a few days or weeks, and we gained trust in them.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost over the course of the engagement was around $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Teksmobile in January or February 2016, and we launched at the end of that year. The collaboration continued until mid-2017.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The user feedback was positive. As a design house, we’re quite critical about how an app works in terms of interactions, flows, and load times. Teksmobile satisfied our needs, and we were happy with how the product turned out at the end of the day.
How did Teksmobile/Teknowledge perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re always available if we have a question, even now. Their CEO is always online, even during the night. The analyst Teksmobile put in charge of us was our go-to person. As a client, I didn’t have to speak to 20 different people. I spoke to one person, who answered all my questions and got the developers to fix any issues. It personalized the collaboration and made me feel like I was being looked after, as a client.
We could also have Skype calls with the developers directly whenever we wanted to, and it was necessary when discussing certain app flows.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’re essentially a design house, so there were certain considerations that we didn’t grasp that well. Teksmobile was really helpful in that sense, in giving us the right guidance on how things should be implemented.
Their CEO is extremely honest, helpful, and ever-obliging. He’s the star of the show. If we send him an email at 3 a.m., he’ll reply.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could have more scheduled check-ins with clients. I can’t think of anything else.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
I couldn’t comment on engagements where Teksmobile is also providing the design. For collaborations like ours, I recommend putting together all the user flows. That way, we don’t spend as much time negotiating or assessing that part, and we can have the next-level conversation with the project manager Teksmobile assigns to iron out the more nuanced wrinkles. It’s important to have a sense of the user stories the developers should work on.

Teksmobile/Teknowledge helped a client develop two apps for their services. The platforms are hosted on AWS and built for iOS and Android.
The apps were launched in the app store and are enjoyed by customers. The platforms are user friendly and satisfy the client’s expectations, making a third project between the teams likely. Teksmobile/Teknowledge brought a communicative team that was easy to work with.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the manager of Vema Projects. We’re a Belgian company making various kinds of payment and automation systems.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Teksmobile/Teknowledge?
We were looking for a company to help us create mobile apps for our payment system.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had a few ideas on what we wanted and we provided a requirements document to Teksmobile. From there, they made wireframes, which we discussed and tweaked, and we started development after that. After a few months, they gave us a test application and the changes we requested were all made.
The first app we made with them is used for payments at car wash boxes, using virtual tokens, which are bought through bank cards and used at car wash locations. The app uses IoT technology to send information to the systems installed at the car wash. We’re using AWS for hosting.
We then worked with Teksmobile on a similar app, but it was for laundry systems. The system is the same, whereby users load money into their accounts and use it to operate washing machines. The apps were built for Android and iOS.
What is the team composition?
I was always in contact with their project manager. I also met with one of the developers on a couple of occasions, to explain how the backend should work on a more technical level.
How did you come to work with Teksmobile/Teknowledge?
We read some reviews on different websites, and we contacted several companies for pricing and timeline estimates. We wanted a company that could provide us a team, not just one developer, and they needed to have enough experience to consult on how to build the apps.
Teksmobile was the only candidate that showed us examples of past applications they’d done, which were live in the app stores and had good reviews. They had a good understanding of what we wanted to do, and they suggested features that we hadn’t thought of ourselves.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost of the two projects combined was around $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our work on the first app started in April 2019 and took about six months. The project took a bit longer because we had to discuss a lot of things before starting the development and it took us some time to give them certain answers.
We started working on the laundry app in January 2020, and it took 2–3 months from beginning to end. I believe we’ll develop our third app with them as well, but our projects are complete for now.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our apps are now live in the app stores. Customers are really satisfied with the app. It’s a lot better than other ones on the market. It has more functionalities and is more user-friendly.
How did Teksmobile/Teknowledge perform from a project management standpoint?
We had video conference calls on Google Meet with Hussain (CEO & CTO) every two weeks to discuss the progress and address any questions we had. We also had a WhatsApp group, and they were very fast in answering us. I had video chats with the project manager if I wanted information or needed to make a change.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The project manager was always good at explaining the problem and relaying information back to his team. If we ever had a problem, we could always discuss it with them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
One of the issues we brought up was how to set up the infrastructure by ourselves since they’re in India and we’re in Belgium. All the source code and documentation are on our side, so we can build the full system by ourselves, without their help.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Clients should have frequent meetings with them, once every 1–2 weeks, to discuss the project and address questions.
We’ve worked with other companies in the past, where we’d give them a task and not hear from them for a couple of months, only to then find that the result was not what we wanted, and we had to start again.

With knowledge of the customer base, Teksmobile/Teknowledge has provided product development and strategy value beyond their technical contributions. They've also displayed stand-out flexibility during the Coronavirus pandemic. Future clients will encounter a communicative partner.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the CEO of a company called Dreamvolt. We’re a goal-setting/social network platform based between the UK and the UAE. We have five employees currently. We’re a start-up company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Teksmobile/Teknowledge?
Our platform was at the MVP stage when we presented it to them. We were looking for the initial investment to get the MVP of our product, and we essentially wanted to upscale our product and develop something a bit more beautiful than what we had as well as functional for a larger market.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
The code we originally had wasn’t the best. They used that design, and that was a starting point, but, essentially, they started from scratch and gave us a native iOS product. We are also having the Android app developed with them, as well as the web app. We are launching our iOS version for the MVP as of December 1st. It has already been approved for the App Store and we are doing some testing with our audience. It has availed us some further funding.
The reason we deployed the iOS version first is that the UAE is quite big on iOS. We also have two products; one is educationally based and the other is for everyone. With iOS, we found that there were schools with a lot of iOS products (iPads and other things) so it was a sensible route for us. Many organizations use Apple products but may not be utilizing them to their fullest potential. Additionally, they may not really innovate on the usage of them, so starting with iOS was a good angle to target a specific niche at the given time.
Teksmobile also advised us to go this specific route first so that way when it comes to developing the Android version, making slight tweaks would be fine based on the specifications we already had.
What is the team composition?
We had a project manager appointed to us, as well as someone doing our UI designs and wireframes. We had two developers for the frontend and two developers for the backend. There was also a QA resource that was perhaps shared with other projects. Most of our communication was with the PM, who was really cool.
How did you come to work with Teksmobile/Teknowledge?
We did a web search and we got quotes from tons of companies. Their price wasn’t the lowest, but it was mid-range. We didn’t want to go for the highest or the lowest obviously. Just the conversation dialogue and the responsiveness from them showed us that they were a good company and they seemed to be very understanding in regard to the structure and framework and how it would work and extend it, as well as the pros and cons of different environments and approaches to developing. We really liked their conversation; it was very thorough.
How much have you invested in them?
In total, we are looking at about $120,000 USD. So far, we have put about $70,000 in. The iOS application costs a little bit more because the backend is going to be shared between both platforms, so when they come to develop the Android version, they are just going to add slight components, whereas the iOS tool is obviously from scratch.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in December 2019, and it is still ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We have had some specific items that we required to be done. To put it simply, it was the beauty of the product, seeing the reaction from our clients, and the fact that they came in on time. Quality-wise, they’ve just been amazing. In presenting the original MVP, they’re happy to tell us that what we have now presented to them is a beautiful product. It’s leagues beyond what we imagined and what we presented to them originally.
We were looking at the next step on our MVP, and what they provided to us is comparable to Instagram, LinkedIn, and those kinds of platforms. It is a beautiful product, and it is seamless. One of the benefits of developing native is the fact that it works so seamlessly. For me, being the CEO and the founder, alongside my co-founder, we strive for perfection. They gave us something that blew us away, to be honest.
How did Teksmobile/Teknowledge perform from a project management standpoint?
Things were a bit delayed, but I guess things are a bit different in the world these days, so it was quite understandable. Overall, they have generally been on time. Sometimes it was our delays and our rethinking of certain situations or us squeezing things in. They were quite on the line with what was specified but they were also very flexible with us, which was amazing. You expect to incur an expense with changes, but of the 20 odd times that we changed things, we perhaps only incurred one additional expense.
A friend of mine developed a platform and he had to go to mitigation to get some of the components that he specified originally, and that was with a company in Silicon Valley. With these guys, in their defense and for us as a company, we changed what we wanted and shifted things slightly based on the fact that we still had ongoing feedback from our MVP so it’s a credit to them.
We use Slack, which has been really good. It has a record on there as well so we can look back at the threads we have had. I use Trello with my own partners and some colleagues, but Slack was the go-to that we used with them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It would definitely have to be the systematic way in which they work. They are very thorough, and they know their stuff as well as the way they work, from the UI designers to the mobile app developer to the project manager (PM). The PM has just been amazing. We didn’t necessarily understand some of the stuff, but they broke it down in such a way that it was communicable to us and we can have a discussion. They understand our product which was amazing for us. In the beginning, when you start up a company, it is something new that you are bringing to the world so to communicate it initially is quite difficult. It is like spelling out something that doesn’t exist, but they got it.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It is a difficult one because I guess time is always one of those things. You want things to be rapid, but, ultimately, we are satisfied with the work and for me, quality trumps time. Maybe they were three weeks out on a deliverable deadline, but ultimately, it’s been a difficult time in the world and that just says everything. I would probably give more time just to have the quality as it is. The quality is beautiful, and it is an amazing product. I will be happy to represent it and bring it to market.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Go for it. We had some ridiculous quotes that were given to us at the beginning; from $450,000 up to $798,000. We also had low range quotes which were $20,000, and different things like that. They are reasonable for what they give and the flexibility they have is amazing. Think about what your product is and go for it in the discovery stage, review the contract you have, sit down and tweak it if you need to tweak it, and then provide it back to them.
The reason I say tweak it if you have to is that we realized we may have needed some other components, but that was through our lack of understanding of what was required. We put it to them, and they said it was easy enough, which we heard that so many times. You don’t expect to hear that from a development company. The good thing as well is that they go through the milestones, mark them off, and have testers on their side. Obviously, you can do your end testing as well to make sure that it stands up to what you understand it to be, but I think it is more understanding what you believe you want to be represented for your product and you’re good.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am a senior child psychoanalyst and children's education technology expert, with regular involvement in breakthrough learning modules and smart classroom solutions. I have conceptualised several unique, interactive and educational apps for kids. My products are being used by kids, parents and teachers globally.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Teksmobile/Teknowledge?
We had earlier collaborated earlier with Teksmobile for creating Story Time For Kids - an award winning digital storytelling app for kids. It racked up more than a million downloads in the App Store. Given this successful partnership earlier, it was no brainer to work with Teks again for my new m-learning application, Li’l Champs. I have limited technical knowledge and no personal developers, and had outsourced the entire project to Teksmobile.
What were your goals for this project?
I wanted to create a user friendly children’s app that would revolutionise classroom education, and bring back the fun element to education. Apart from serving as learning aid for school kids, the app also needed to double up as a teaching tool, a student performance tracker, and a monitoring tool for parents. There had to be a custom admin panel as well, for tracking student performances
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
Since I had already worked with Teksmobile earlier, I had a fair idea of the type of innovation and professional expertise this mobile app company could bring to the table. There were several rounds of discussion with Hussain - the CEO of Teksmobile - over which we finalised the blueprint of the Li’l Champs application.
I was particularly influenced by the sort of attention to detail these guys have, and the quality of end-to-end service from ideation & mockup wireframing to post-launch - that they provide. The team that worked on my project was right out of the top drawer.
Describe the project in detail.
There was a series of meetings like usual. I first interacted with the global CEO - Hussain - who introduced me to the team of iOS and Android developers who would be working on my project. I received the first set of mockups and wireframes within a week.
There were a few iterations and revisions - which were immediately implemented. The team then scheduled weekly calls with me, to keep me updated on the progress status. The great thing was, I could get in touch with them or schedule a meeting practically anytime. The entire process was very smooth and I'm very happy.
What was the team composition?
The one thing that I have come to love about Teksmobile as a bespoke software development company is, you get the chance to meet and interact with everyone. After the first set of meetings with Hussain, I met my project manager.
She, in turn, made my acquaintance with the 2 Unity 3D developers and 1 backend laravel developer or rather say API developer to whom the Li’l Champs project was assigned. I also got the chance to meet their QA team along with their project manager.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Teksmobile had already impressed me very much when I did hire ios developer from them. This time, I found that their mobile app development expertise has gone up several notches. The sort of customisations, features and optimisations that the team suggested were to be honest beyond what I had initially thought possible.
It was also the idea of the Teks team to implement a VR (virtual reality) component in the Li’l Champs school app for kids.I am more than happy to recommend the company to anyone looking for a software developer.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They are very good in communication. They use slack and whatsapp which is very convenient. Every detail is documented over minutes of meeting of a call. I really like the way they handle everything professionally.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The best thing about this mobile app development company is their openness, flexibility, patience and willingness to innovate. There were certain elements in this project that the developers suggested and after implementation, these elements enhanced the usability of the app a lot. Teksmobile does not work just as a software vendor, rather they operate as partners or a better word I would use is a family.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I can’t think of anything off the top of my head.
