I'm the Marketing Manager at Mixon Seed Service.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Tekli Digital Marketing, and what were your goals?

We hired them to build a brand-new website for our growing business. We were strictly word of mouth, and we knew it was time to start establishing a digital presence in this day & age.

After completion of the first website, we then hired them again to develop an updated website for another brand of our company (AGSouth Genetics). It was outdated & needed a redesign, as well as to be compatible with mobile devices. Both developed on the WordPress platform.

How did you select Tekli Digital Marketing and what were the deciding factors?

They were recommended to us by a friend who raved of the work they were capable of doing!

We started off working with a freelance copywriter & graphic designer to develop our story & brand image, then we enlisted Tekli to bring the plan to life. Both WordPress sites were simple builds with not too much extra functionality, but we meant to discuss the expectations & review the mocks then their team went to work.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We only worked with 1 guy, Rhodes, the founder, but he had multiple different web developers working behind the scene who helped build our intended website.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Clients were thrilled to see that we now have a place to learn more about the company & many have mentioned how easy the site is to navigate (plus it also looks nice!).

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

The team was very good at keeping us up to date along the way. We used Airtable as our project management system which allowed me to see real time status updates.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were able to give us a new professional website that is easy to update. They were always happy help with my nagging questions along the way as I adjusted to the new WordPress backend & new role in overseeing the website’s hosting & updates on a regular basis.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Airtable was a bit daunting to get used to at first. It is a great project management system & displayed all the information I needed to know about the project as we moved through completion, but I think there could have been some additional training or web calls on the frontend to review the capabilities of the software.

I’m the CEO of Stencil Stop. We create, design, and sell stencils to businesses and consumers.

We needed SEO, web development, PPC, and e-commerce services.

What were your goals for this project?

We set out to accomplish three tasks: acquire business using paid platforms, become an industry leader using SEO best practices, and create content and useful, practical web pages that will drive traffic and increase revenue.

I have known Rhodes (Founder, Tekli Digital Marketing) since I started Stencil Stop in 2015.

Tekli contributes to every aspect of our business related to digital marketing and e-commerce. They manage SEO for our whole website, along with numerous quickly growing PPC campaigns across multiple platforms.  

What was the team composition?

I primarily work directly with Rhodes.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We’ve worked with Tekli since our infancy, going from the outskirts of search engine relevancy to the front page of Google for targeted terms. Our click-through rate and conversions from PPC ads have doubled in the last year, and domain authority has gone from zero to either being in-line with or surpassing top industry competition.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Typically, I'll discuss what projects we have on the horizon about twice a month, and then we’ll determine whether that project is a better fit for Tekli's team or our internal team. When the project is near completion, we'll bring the teams together to discuss implementing new process or practices that have been created.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It’s their flexibility, without a doubt. I can ask a question about Amazon fulfillment or SEO for Etsy listings and Tekli will have the answer.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, not that I’m aware of. There’s nothing they could do to improve their performance.
