I do purchasing, sales and I.T. work for a family owned hardwood lumber company in Pennsylvania. We have 2 locations and approx 35 employees.
For what projects/services did your company hire TechVAR?
I have been dealing with TechVAR for the last 4 plus years to renew our software licensing and services we subscribe to.
What were your goals for this project?
My reason for dealing with TechVAR was to receive competitively priced renewals for our software licensing while maintaining the ability to deal with a single point of contact for all of our licensing needs.
How did you select this vendor?
i was originally put into contact with TechVAR when I contacted Webroot to renew our AV services. After talking with the TechVAR rep, I learned that they offered many other products and services in addition to Webroot.
Describe the project in detail.
Since our initial contact, I have reached out to my rep for any future products we have encountered.
What was the team composition?
Since we are a small business, and all of our employees have to wear many hats, I have relied on TechVAR's knowledge of the products the represent to make sure our company has the best options for our software needs.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
TechVAR has assisted our company in several ways. Their representatives have saved me a great deal of time, by reminding me of upcoming renewals and helping me make decisions when comparing different solutions.
Their pricing on products has saved us anywhere from 5 to 20% over our previous vendor. The previous vendor we worked with dealt with a smaller number of products and sometimes those products were not a good fit for us.
TechVAR's product line has allowed me to explore other solutions our previous vendor could not offer, while still dealing with the same representative.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
TechVAR's representatives have always been readily available both by phone and email. Their response time has always been very good.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
One of the things I think is most impressive about this company, is the high level of service they provide.
Are there any areas for improvement?
So far, my experience with TechVAR has been far superior to our previous vendor, I have not noticed any areas in need of improvement.

We were introduced to Kenley and TechVAR through a mutual partner at Panda Security to help provide financing options to one of their users.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goal was to help secure a renewal of security software for one of Kenley's customers.
How did you select this vendor?
We were introduced through a partner.

I will plead the fifth here as I am not the actual customer and don't want to disclose anything in typed format that any parties involved would not want discussed.
What was the team composition?
I was part of the project, two members from Panda Security and Kenley and Christina from TechVAR.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
I feel the project went very well and all parties involved (4 entities total) achieved their desired outcome.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow was very effective. There was seamless communication and transparency across all parties.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I found Kenley and Christina to be incredibly accessible and flexible throughout the entire process. At one point early on in this project, we hit a big obstacle that if unresolved would have heightened the stress level for everybody.
Kenley was able to have some internal discussions at TechVar and get the issue resolved quickly which made the legwork on the back end of the project much easier. It was an absolute pleasure working with TechVar and I look forward to many more projects in the future.
Are there any areas for improvement?
The only area for improvement I can see is that I am still waiting on Kenley to send me a few recipes out of his Le Cordon Bleu cookbook.
