We needed overseas resources to support our internal team.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They have a range of developers who help us. We give them briefs, we work together on the scope, and then we collaborate on projects. They've developed a few mobile apps for us for Android and iOS, as well as a magazine app for iPad. They built everything from the ground up, and they work with us through stages. They've finished four apps, and we're planning on moving business from another supplier to their task list in the near future.

We'd worked with our main contact previously. I was very comfortable working with him, and I was impressed by his turnaround times. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around the end of 2017, and we still have a lot of projects planned with them.

The quality of their work is fantastic. We regularly get compliments, and we're very happy with the end results.

How did Techno’s Tech Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We always know where we stand, and our contact has very good knowledge of our requirements. There isn't much room for error, and the arrangement works very well for us. Most of our communication is through Skype and email, and they send us iterations of each build along the way.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I like the structure we have in place, and their communication and delivery are both excellent.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There is a difference in time zone, which is occasionally a challenge. For the most part, we've worked around that and they sometimes work during their nighttime hours.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Provide a good written brief with as much information as possible. That will save time and eliminate unnecessary iterations.

What challenge were you trying to address with Techno’s Tech Solutions?

I was looking for a service provider that could deliver a web app solution in a short amount of time. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Techno’s Tech Solutions developed an online telemedicine web app using HTML and MySQL. We wanted it to be mobile-friendly and user-friendly. We shared all our requirements including the specifications that we wanted to see. After our discussion, they started the development process and created all the features we wanted within our system.

The platform enabled doctors to conduct video calls with their patients. The project’s scope was pretty large and intensive because it involved a lot of patients’ details. The team was also responsible for building a dashboard and management solutions as well as a login feature so that administrators could monitor the platform.

On top of that, they were responsible for the look and feel of our web app. One of their focus was the colors of the frontend design. They also ensured that our app was responsive to iOS and Android devices. Furthermore, they were responsible for the app’s analytics which helped in identifying the performance and usage of the platform.

In addition, they created the profiles of all patients and ensured that everything was encrypted. They also created a video conferencing plugin which was integrated through a third-party plugin. Then, one of the most important features they built was the location indicator. The team continues to maintain our platform, and we’re working with them for future upgrades of our web platform.

There are four people from Techno’s Tech Solutions working with us, including a front- and backend developer. They also have a tech lead responsible for helping us think through the solutions we need. On top of that, the tech lead helps us identify which technologies to use.

How did you come to work with Techno’s Tech Solutions?

I got quotations from different companies. I decided to go with Techno’s Tech Solutions because of their reputation in building apps as well as their commitment to delivering within the time I specified. They also offered good value for money.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $30,000–$45,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement began in December 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Techno’s Tech Solutions has been very helpful. With the web app they’ve developed, our patients can grade the staff and the performance of the system. So far, we’ve our average rating is 4.8 out of 5. We’ve also been able to secure 3,000 patients, and the only challenges we’ve had have been with third parties. They’ve given us a good value for money, and they’ve given us more than we expected. Above all, they don’t charge us for changes.

How did Techno’s Tech Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very consistent, and they keep in touch with us on an ongoing basis. They’re also flexible and engaging. With the time zone difference, it feels like they’re working for 24 hours. On top of that, they’re always available on Trello, Slack, WhatsApp, Skype, and email. We also have phone calls with them. Overall, their delivery has only been slightly late partially due to the change requests on our side.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have great customer service. Moreover, they’ve been flexible when some of our projects have overlapped and when we've needed to change some things.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’ve been perfect. The three key factors I look at are cost, time, and quality — I can’t seem to fault them on any of the three key areas. Their system works, and the quality of their work is great. Their excellent work has also been validated by our external clients.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’ll give you whatever you want. On top of that, they’re always prompt. Their after service is also invaluable.
