Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the owner of Fit For Golf! Fit For Life! We specialize in assessment and programming for golfers and for life.
For what projects/services did your company hire Technbrains, and what were your goals?
Absolutely fantastic! I was so nervous and apprehensive to commit to another app developer due to a history of bad experiences with other companies. Their patient with my lack of knowledge and not understanding the new nomenclature of the app development process. They even helped with the creative part and added a very user friendly admin section for me to use.
How did you select Technbrains and what were the deciding factors?
I posted on Facebook and they found me! Deciding factors included ease of talking with Chazz during the day since he is in the United States. Also, the agreement was thorough and I felt very protected.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Fit For Golf 50+ App development and admin section for me to edit on my own. Also, hook up to Stripe and Send Grid.
How many people from the Technbrains team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I worked with Chazz and Joaquin.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Chazz made me feel comfortable the entire way. He was patient with my lack of knowledge and not understanding the new nomenclature of the app development process. They have exceeded all of my expectations. I love my App: Fit For Golf 50+.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Lots of emails! All of my questions were answered promptly.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Chazz wanted to make sure I was happy and calm. Trust their professionalism. I'm glad I did and my nerves were calmed.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Due to my own lack of knowledge and understanding of some things and lack of time to complete my side of things, we were about a month late. But the product was worth it!

I work for a health care company as Marketing Supervisor
For what projects/services did your company hire KoderLabs LLC?
They provided me mobile app development and design services
What were your goals for this project?
To build a high-end start-up mobile application compiled with intuitive design and robust development
How did you select this vendor?
Based on customer support, portfolio and budget - koderlabs was best among the 7 companies we contacted
Describe the project in detail.
Basically we wanted an innovative mobile app for our business. We wanted to develop it under an NDA and wanted to keep things running smoothly. For this, it took about 2 months to finalize the hiring process as we were planning to work with someone to understand our design and development requirements jus the way we wanted.
What was the team composition?
We began communicating with the unit head and team with a manager and 2 developers. We discuss our thought process and defined our needs - later they invited designers and marketing personnel onboard which guided us to continue work in the best way possible
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Initially, we took long time to finalize the structure and scope of work because working online with agile approach is something what we thought would be ideal - later we began our fundraising process which made the process a bit slower but team remained assertive with us and gave us the time to do our research.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
All the team members worked very well! They never gave us an excuse for not doing any particular task - we had a great time and bonding with all the team members.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The design team did a fantastic job and so did the developers! We are looking forward to hiring them for more of similar kind of projects as we had a great experience with KoderLabs.
Are there any areas for improvement?
not as such! keep doing good

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the founder and owner of Inside Out Creative. We build between 75 and 100 websites and year for companies along with providing lead generation through various channels. Most of our websites are built by Koderlabs
For what projects/services did your company hire KoderLabs LLC?
KoderLabs has been responsible for the web development execution on 90% of our website builds. Koderlabs has built highly technical, upscale high end websites for our most valued clients. We've recently begun also working with KoderLabs on some of our email marketing campaigns which have also been executed flawlessly.
What were your goals for this project?
My goals have always been to build beautifully designed websites with seamless functionality across all devices. With excellent communication and timely schedules KoderLabs has always been able to execute on all of our highest quality projects.
How did you select this vendor?
Russell and his team over at Koderlabs was given one website that we had that none of our other developers wanted to touch due to the unusual website CRM platform that was required to build on. Koderlabs executed beautifully on this website and thus began many additional website projects of which all to date have been executed perfectly.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Anything and everything website related. From back end UX coding and development to front end functionality. KoderLabs has NEVER come across any technical problem that couldn't be solved.
What was the team composition?
Koderlabs has been compensated in upwards of $30,000 on recent projects.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
Our business has grown by over 40% in the last 6 months due to Koderlabs handling the complex technical pieces of our business.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Milestones are often established. Timeframes are given and projects either meet or exceed expectations always. Koderlabs executes projects more efficiently than any company we've ever worked with.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I'm impressed with their ability to get the job done right the first time and in a highly-efficient, timely manner.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None that we've run into.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Long Drive Agency is a golf industry marketing agency. We help country clubs and golf courses simplify their digital marketing strategies by getting to know their goals, developing a strategy and deploying a personalized solution. I am the Director of Operations & Strategy and lead all custom projects with our clients and partners.
For what projects/services did your company hire KoderLabs LLC?
To develop the worlds first photo booth software created specifically for the golf industry. They were tasked to create an admin dashboard for our clients to log in and manage their events, as well as an iPad and iPhone application for the actual photo booth media capturing and data collection.
What were your goals for this project?
To take the UX/UI that I designed and create the worlds first photo booth software created specifically for the golf industry.
How did you select this vendor?
We previously worked with KoderLabs on another, smaller project. Based on our great experience with them, we decided to partner up with them for all future custom software development projects.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
They developed the web-based admin dashboard where clients can create new events, upload frames, specify email & SMS templates, and view & download media and data collected via the app.
They also developed the iPad app, which is what's used by the end-user to capture images, videos, or gifs. The app allows the user to delete, text, or email themselves the media they captured (via Twilio API). The user is then sent the template specified by the client when creating the event in the admin dashboard with a link to download their media from a landing page that KoderLabs developed.
They also developed the iPhone version of the app for us that offers our clients a mobile use-case. Inside both apps there's an admin popup which allows clients to manage some of the primary functions and troubleshoot the app, should they need to. Both apps also function offline.
What was the team composition?
We worked primarily with the co-founder and the previous account executive we communicated with on the first project they did for us. We had regular conference calls for progress checks, and they were in constant communication with us to ensure everything was up to our expectations.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
Our goal was to offer the golf industry the worlds first photo booth solution that was created for them. As soon as we opened pre-orders, we sold out within 48 hours—all before we even had the hardware available to ship. Because we didn't have the hardware, we relied entirely on the UI designs I created and the demos we provided of the dashboard and app. Those experiences alone were enough to get word of mouth going. Since launching, we have constantly had to put clients on backorder lists.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
This was a crucial part, as I have many tasks to handle and don't have a lot of time for trial-and-error. KoderLabs was very flexible, working with us on whatever worked best for our workflows. We managed all primary communication through Slack channels and scheduled regular milestones to check on progress and ensure everything was on track.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their ability to take a concept and run with it stood out. Most developers focus on developing and don't touch designs or go outside of the box. This can be good sometimes, but other times you need other perspectives and KoderLabs would make sure if they thought something could be improved or altered for better experiences then it was brought up and discussed. They don't shy away from a challenge, and we challenged them without a doubt. I can't say enough good things about this team.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Not a single thing comes to mind, they were great to work with and I look forward to continuing this relationship for years to come.

I lead sales and marketing for a custom closet design, build, and installation company.
For what projects/services did your company hire KoderLabs LLC?
We needed a partner to automate our sales process for mobile, along with managing leads from multiple channels, including TV, print, and digital. We wanted them to communicate with production and billing.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted a seamless communication process on the sales end. We also wanted to better understand the cost of advertising and optimize our pass-through cost of production.
How did you select this vendor?
They were one of two companies that came referred to us. We chose them based on their past work.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
They sent us a comprehensive NDA and contract, along with planning the scope of work thoroughly. They then helped us select the best technologies and provided social media marketing.
What was the team composition?
We worked with two developers (one for UI), a designer, and a program manager.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
They improved our process, including optimization of our costs for sales leads. We have a better understanding of our advertising spend, and we’ve seen a noticeable decline in our installation mistakes.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re an online retail store and we partner with another company to provide delivery services.
What challenge were you trying to address with KoderLabs?
After working with a previous developer who wasn’t fulfilling our needs, we looked for a new team to develop our website. We needed the site to sell our products.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The KoderLabs team designed and developed an e-commerce website. They’re currently providing web maintenance and we send them all tasks that arise.
What is the team composition?
Depending on the tasks we assign them, they provide various specialized team members.
How did you come to work with KoderLabs?
I found KoderLabs online and called them after reviewing the services they offered. Their team set a one-month deadline to finish the website and we decided to continue working together from there.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in 2016 and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We were able to launch the site successfully, and it has been live for over two years. The results have been satisfactory and we haven’t had any problems. Our customers compliment the design of the site and I refer them to KoderLabs.
How did KoderLabs perform from a project management standpoint?
Aside from one of the previous project managers who worked with the company, the rest of the KoderLabs team have been strong.
What did you find most impressive about them?
As a team, they provide a range of skills and their e-commerce design and development strategy is impressive.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Although the quality has been good, there were some scheduling issues. They have multiple clients so some tasks take longer than expected.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
The work they’ve produced has been well-built so far, and the website is attractive, so hiring them was the right choice.

Outsourced App Dev for Social Networking Startup
"They work hard and their team now understands our product better than we do."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the Chief Products Officer with a tech startup creating a new social networking space.
What challenge were you trying to address with KoderLabs?
We needed an outsourcing partner to build the code for our application.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We're currently in stealth mode, hoping to release beta in the coming weeks, but our product is an iOS/Android application with certain platform features. While we initially hired them for development, we realized they had a wide range of abilities, so we also engaged them for design.
What is the team composition?
We didn’t go in with any specific team requirements. We discussed the project and they assigned designers and developers as needed. They're really smart guys and very mature considering their youth.
How did you come to work with KoderLabs?
Because we’re a startup developing a new idea, we wanted an outsourcing team we could trust. Technical skill was important but not as valuable as knowing our idea wouldn’t leak to the public before launch. We considered a number of companies, but KoderLabs was recommended by a friend of our CEO, and we liked their proposal.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in August 2017 and our relationship is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve conducted tests on our end at various stages of development and we’ve noticed that the product is becoming increasingly stable. The number of bugs is decreasing and we’re very close to completion. This has been a difficult architectural job, so I’m happy about the fact that we’re nearing completion so quickly.
How did KoderLabs perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very professional. They have a project manager who translates our Google Docs into Jira and we used the entire Atlassian suite throughout the project. I also call their team once a week. I find that deadlines are often spotty with outsourcing companies, but scheduling works fine as long as you provide a buffer zone.
What did you find most impressive about them?
In my experience, some outsourcing companies tend to avoid difficult questions and offer excuses. This is not the case with KoderLabs. We’ve had some difficult discussions over the last few months, but they’ve approached these openly and with a straightforward attitude, providing honest feedback.
My partner and I spent a week visiting KoderLab’s office to get a sense of their company. They create a positive work environment, even providing lunch for their employees each day. This showed us that their company is built on a solid foundation. They don’t cheat their employees and they don’t cheat us.
They also have a strong business sense, which I appreciate because I like working with people who know what they're doing. They work hard and their team now understands our product better than we do.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Two things. First, there's a tendency to recycle previously written code. This may make sense for quick jobs, but it becomes a problem on long-term projects. As features are added, the code becomes increasingly unwieldy.
Secondly, while they move quickly to produce a prototype, producing a stable product is an entirely different challenge. Still, they offer affordable rates, so some trade-offs are to be expected.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
As you should for any long-term engagement, take time to know who you’re working with. Visit their office or, if that’s not feasible, meet in an agreed-upon location. Once you know them, you’ll see that the KoderLabs team are very nice people. Having those connections will keep communication running smoothly during the project.

HR Platform Dev for Recruiting Service
“They’re responsive and, if they don’t know an answer, they’ll find it for me.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of a mobile employment application software that companies can buy and customize to meet their specific hiring needs.
What challenge were you trying to address with KoderLabs LLC?
I needed an agency to basically build the software from scratch. I had the idea, and I needed someone to provide the tech work.
What was the scope of their involvement?
KoderLabs built the platform and currently provides service and maintenance. The web app is mobile friendly, and it offers a QR code, text number, and/or web link for potential employees to access and apply for a job. Companies go into the software and customize their application with different forms and questions depending on the job they’re hiring for. After people apply, the hiring manager or recruiter goes into the backend and can begin screening and contacting candidates.
KoderLabs used open source code to develop the software and integrated Twilio for the texting functionality. We continue to work on the product and upgrade it as needs and technology change.
What is the team dynamic?
I communicate mainly with KoderLab’s founder, but I occasionally speak with developers if needed.
How did you come to work with KoderLabs LLC?
I vetted numerous companies, but they were either expensive or offshores and hard to communicate with. A colleague in the area had worked with KoderLabs, so I looked into them and hired them.
How much have you invested with them?
I’ve spent close to $75,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working with them in 2013, and we’re still working together.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Without them, I wouldn't have a software platform. Whenever a bug pops up, they’re responsive and proactive in getting it fixed, often before I even know it’s broken.
How did KoderLabs LLC perform from a project management standpoint?
We used a project management software that let us both update and review the project, and add notes and documents. They’re responsive and, if they don’t know an answer, they’ll find it for me.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The whole team has a wide breadth of knowledge in many different technical areas. They helped me understand things I should look out for, suggested additional features, and really took on the project as an equally-contributing partner.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They're very creative, so listen to their suggestions because they’ll provide some helpful ideas.
