To begin, we provided Hyperlink with a clear concept of what we needed. Our in-house team came up with rough sketches of the app, which we then turned over to TechGropse for further design and implementation. They built the native application for iOS and Android devices and also made our website responsive for phone viewing. The backend of the site was built with Python, and they’ll be hosting and maintaining the site after launch. All testing was done internally on their end.

Their communication and ability to follow the deadlines and budget have been amazing. They always inform me ahead of time if they need extra time to resolve a technical issue. We communicate via Zoom, WhatsApp, and Skype, and we manage the project through GitHub and Zoho

There aren’t any communication issues. I’m quite impressed by that.

We were trying to find people to develop our platform because we weren't technically savvy. We just knew how to work on some design aspects, but we didn’t know anything about backend programming. Therefore, we needed a team that could get the job done at an affordable price.

TechGropse had the best reviews. We used Clutch to get some feedback and spoke with them directly to get a few of our questions answered. After all our research, they were the right option for our project at an affordable price

In the beginning, we had a clear idea of how we wanted the platform to look and operate. We did a lot of the UX/UI and gave TechGropse our prototypes and documents detailing all the features we wanted. Then, they completed everything they could. If there were any technicalities that needed alternative solutions, they assisted us in finding the best option and best ways to implement it. Overall, they took whatever we showed them and created it with their development team.

Much of our development time took place when the COVID-19 pandemic was starting to take off, so they were working from home. Therefore, we never got a good read on how many people were on our project; we probably interacted with 6–7 of their people. In general, we worked closely with their project manager and one of their iOS developers.

Our users are really impressed. We’re a new company, but our app seems mature. It makes people think that we’ve had this platform running for years. TechGropse has done an excellent job building a proper infrastructure for the platform. We get a lot of praise for how functional it is and how well it works, which was the biggest thing for us.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Due to the time difference, I try to be as prompt as possible and make myself available for any questions they may have. Once we explain things, they understand them pretty well and can deliver on what we want. A lot of our communication is through calls and emails. We usually communicate over Skype.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The best part of working with them has been the app's quality. We’re not worried about problems that typically occur in app development projects. TechGropse gives us a sense of security, and if problems arise, they find solutions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing I can suggest is that they become a little more diligent with testing. It might be a bit more related to my project because it’s probably one of the longest ongoing projects so far.

Proper project management charter was followed. Milestones were clearly defined at the beginning of the project itself. Weekly/daily calls were scheduled to mitigate any risk of delay. Trello was used to assist with the project management. The team was very receptive both of our ideas and the feedback.

A very young and energetic team. This was IMO the biggest differentiation. The team comes up with new ideas, innovative solutions and exhibits great energy all the time.

Way to go. Probably can use more only communication channel due to work from home. But that's a miniscule problem which I am sure they will sort out in a very short time.

Most of our communication went through project manager, their designers and developers would also be directly involved in discussions. In order to coordinate with our internal systems and generate data necessary for the development, they established a hefty infrastructure and middleware team.
