What truly stood out to us about this design firm was their ability to deeply understand and integrate our business logic into the creative process. They took the time to immerse themselves in the core of our business, allowing them to deliver designs that not only looked great but also strategically aligned with our business objectives. 

This unique approach resulted in a final product that was not just aesthetically pleasing but also functional and effective in achieving our goals. Their commitment to merging creativity with business acumen was truly impressive and is something we haven't seen with other design firms we've worked with in the past. This, combined with their promptness and responsiveness, made our collaboration with them a truly rewarding experience.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Team Codesign could have done differently?

In our collaboration with Team Codesign, we were thoroughly impressed with their punctuality, attention to detail, and ability to understand and incorporate our business logic into the design process. Their output was exceptional and perfectly aligned with our objectives. Given the success and satisfaction we have experienced, it is difficult to pinpoint specific areas for improvement. However, as with any project, continuous communication and collaborative iteration are always key to achieving the best possible outcome. Somedays I was left questioning what tasks were completed the night before. This would be the only area I can see potential improvement.

I’m the co-founder of Tech Variable, a custom software solutions company doing digital transformation for small and medium industries.

What challenge were you trying to address with Team Codesign?

We were trying to get our website revamped through intuitive designs and interactions. We were looking for a good UI/UX team.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Team Codesign did the UI/UX for our website in the form of XD screens. They understood our requirement, documented it properly, sent us a proposal, and then got a sign-off from us. They sent us the deliverables one-by-one through XD screens. 

We provided them with what kind of UX we were expecting on the website. We also gave them the complete workflow of the website, what kind of tabs we were expecting, and what kind of look and feel we wanted.

What is the team composition?

I directly interacted with the co-founder and their design head.

How did you come to work with Team Codesign?

I was looking for good UI/UX designers on Clutch when I came across Team Codesign. I got in touch with them. They were a startup just like us.

We spent 1.5 lakh rupees (approximately $2,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from July–October 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Team Codesign understood what we really needed and what kind of experiences we were expecting from our website. Whatever inputs we gave them, they were properly met in terms of the look and feel and the UI/UX. We haven’t launched our website yet. The initial reactions internally have been good.

How did Team Codesign perform from a project management standpoint?

It was a good collaboration, and communication was top-notch. Whenever I asked for a meeting or had feedback, they properly took notice of and implemented everything. We had weekly meetings and sometimes even daily meetings. 

We used Telegram and Google Meet for video communication. They were very transparent about many things including the number of working hours they were investing in a project. The number of iterations they provided was very satisfactory.

Their communication and transparency were most impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Team Codesign could improve on proper documentation and better requirement gathering.

Get your initial requirements set on paper before getting into a contract with Team Codesign.

benji is a mobile platform that connects homeowners with lawn technicians for ALL ELECTRIC lawn mowing and other tasks. I am the founder/CEO.

benji™ hired TCD because of its "design first" principals. This appealed to my sensibilities - the UX/UI is the driving force for a quality customer experience.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal for the first version of benji™ was to create an MVP that is more than just a concept for investors and early adopters. It also needed to be loveable.

How did you select this vendor?

I have a great deal of experience seeking and securing talent for startup businesses. One I saw their work and had a detailed call with Abhishek, I knew we could work together.

The brief was quite complex and grew larger every couple of weeks. Initially, we asked that we have an entire build of the project with only the consideration of web design UX/UI for the benji™ platform. Eventually, the brief became desktop flow, mobile browser flow, native iOS and Android for both seeker and provider and ultimately a robust admin panel.

What was the team composition?

Abhishek worked closely with us initially helping to tease out our brand identity through UX/UI work. He then allowed his team to handle the day to day work with little input. He has a team that can work quickly and with a variety of skills.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

TCD nailed our brand initially but have stuck around to complete every tiny detail and then some. All facets of the build have been well thought out and delivered in a timely manner.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

TCD was very adept at achieving our goals through the use of top-notch communication. They have been very respectful of our time differences - cultural too. To be honest, this was one of the best aspects of working with TCD.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The humility of TCD is the most impressive element. If you possess humility, you have the greatest shot at greatness. Team Codesign is on the way to greatness.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We at benji™ have very little criticism. If I had to suggest one area of improvement it might be an increased awareness of deadlines. But, this was true of us too. So perhaps we should lead by example better.

they took the very raw idea from idea phase into wireframes. they were very patient and eager to learn more from the initial calls. they did all wireframes for all 3 aspects of the app which is quite complicated.

Once the product gained initial traction, Team Codesign started helping us manage the development, marketing, and design aspects of the project holistically. The team is now on a retainer for all our future ideas.

Team Codesign runs the project in weekly sprints, which is measurable. The team’s project management is good, and they deliver on time and respond well to our needs. Communication is good; we have a group over Google Chat, and we manage tasks on Taskade.

Software testing was an issue in the earlier days, but it was rectified with feedback.
