I’m the director of an e-commerce store that sells yoga goods in France.

What challenge were you trying to address with TaxAssist Accountants?

I needed year-to-year accounting and bookkeeping completed. I also needed assistance with French VAT.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I needed help with my daily bookkeeping to make sure that we weren’t running over on expenses. We also needed to keep up with the government's deadlines for filing our account each year and quarter for the VAT.

Since I was shipping a number of goods in and out of France, I also needed support with understanding French taxation rules and import and export rules.

I’ve worked with TaxAssist Accountants on multiple projects. Originally, I started with them on a different project, and then we shifted to the French yoga brand product. They are holding another project for me with a similar concept around bookkeeping and accountancy.

What is the team composition?

I worked with four people, including the director of the company, a chief accountant, a bookkeeper, and a VAT specialist.

How did you come to work with TaxAssist Accountants?

I found them because they have an office that isn’t too far away from me, and I had walked past them. It wasn’t a very exhausting process, but I found that they came across as extremely knowledgeable and professional. They knew what they were talking about. It gave me the right confidence in their ability.

How much have you invested with them?

It is around £8,000 (approximately $11,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started on the yoga brand project in September 2018. Our work with TaxAssist Accountants is still ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Three areas have really indicated to me that they’re professionals.

The first is that they meet all deadlines set by the government. I’ve never received a fine or late notice. I also found that they’re very supportive when it comes to expansion.

Each time I come to them with a new idea, they have the experience to say it works for them. I’ve worked with others that have said they need to get back to me.

Lastly, I really like that they’re full of experience, which they then bring to me. For example, I regularly receive emails from them with brand-new ideas and areas I haven’t thought of. These help my day-to-day life, like savings plans, tax breaks, and initiatives from the government.

How did TaxAssist Accountants perform from a project management standpoint?

It has been brilliant. I like their overall communication, and I also like that they operate as a team.

Sometimes, I will email one person, and I won’t hear back from him but will get a call or email from someone else letting me know she had seen my email and that she will be in touch. I like that cross-communication. They’re brilliant in that regard.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m definitely impressed with their professionalism.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of any. I can’t fault them for anything that they do.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I highly recommend them, especially if someone is local to one of the offices. I know that have several around England, and I would highly recommend them to someone local to one of the offices because their pop-in service is ideal.
