Tao Digital Marketing creates different search terms and performs Google Ads to optimize the website to make it appear higher on search engines. They also do a bit of blogging for us on topics that are pertinent to current trends in our industry.

How did Tao Digital Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

Tao Digital Marketing is readily available. They always perform well. We can call them up at any time. I prefer talking with them over the phone rather than email. Matt comes out to see me every couple of months. Their team sends reports with updates.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Matt sees projects from a business point of view and understands what we’re about. He listens to what we’re trying to achieve as a business and isn’t about pushing his products.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t believe so. We still use their services.

Have a proper conversation about your business. Don’t only tell Matt what you want to achieve; give him the full story.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tao Digital Agency?

We hired Tao Digital Marketing to support our business growth. We inherently retain clients quite well. Due to the tender and deadline-driven nature of our industry, we have a constant need for new and, more importantly, quality leads. The high volume of leads coming through previously hadn’t been the right quality we needed.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Theoretically, there should always be people searching for our type of service online. Tao Digital Agency targets that existing client base so we can reduce our advertising costs. When we started our engagement, we were setting up a new division in our business to provide bid writing and management training. Our existing site needed to be redeveloped better to generate more online leads.

First, we identified our ideal customer demographics and then brainstormed how to get these users to convert. They calibrated our customer journey from opportunity identification to closing the sale. Once we established this foundation, they designed the fundamental infrastructure and formats. Tao Digital held an initial meeting to develop a formal plan of what would actually have an impact and attract the right quality of leads.

They support our efforts across the digital space including SEO and email and marketing automation. These campaigns are linked to our new website and backend CRM. At one point, we focused on social media marketing. We realized later on that our website is a better way to generate new business. Tao Digital Agency supported our end-to-end marketing efforts. Since then, we've made a consistent effort to maintain the quality of our platform. They conducted a seamless handoff to our business, consultancy, and recruitment agency. Each quarter, we carefully assess how to increase our ROI within our division.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We're really pleased with Tao Digital Agency's work. We started achieving consistent results from our redesign within six months. The best example is the success of our actual training division. We started out delivering next to nothing; we had zero inquiries and no formal offers. They actively started promoting it and attracted clients largely from online inquiries.

Within a short time working together, we've generated a solid and profitable business that's been built on the foundation of leads generated from online inquiries. Our traffic mostly comes from organic search results thanks to the team’s SEO work. Last year, we trained about 1,000 organizations after starting from scratch two years prior.

How did Tao Digital Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

They work well independently, so we're able to stay fairly hands off. Once we know something works, we feel confident they can keep that going forward. Of the four different agencies we’ve used over the years, this is the first time we've actually been able to relax.

We have daily contact supplemented by in-depth monthly status reports. We speak on the phone, meet in person, and use email to stay in touch. They always keep us in the loop. After I agree with the monthly scope of design and formatting work and types of outreach, they execute on those plans. They thoughtfully consider which types of work will help us best promote our site and produce analytics each month.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tao Digital Agency provides excellent and tangible results that foster sustainable growth for our business. Since we lack technical expertise in-house, we have to rely on outsourced experts. Consistently attracting more good quality leads and conversions confirms the impact of our engagement. vastly reduced our advertising budget. Previously, we were spending four times as much each year.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Since we do have so many conversations, maybe more formal communication would be beneficial. We're a happy client, though, and recommend them to our own customers as well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Try to get your main strategy right at the very start. We've made the mistake previously with other agencies of pushing on in a vague direction. Tao Digital’s initial planning session was very effective for a company of our size. This method has guided all our work and is probably why our partnership has gone so well.
