Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the operations and events director for a membership association focused on corporate governance. We have an extensive network of members, but we’re a small team.
What challenge were you trying to address with SYCAP IT?
We lacked in-house IT expertise, so we needed IT hardware and software experts.
What was the scope of their involvement?
All our laptops and equipment are from SYCAP IT; they’ve connected them to the printer we rent from another organization. They’ve also installed all of the Microsoft and Adobe software. As we started working from home, they sourced Webex to use the telephone system through our laptops. They installed it for us so we could have a landline number through it.
We have a website and external webmasters, but SYCAP IT manages the domains. We changed website managers, and they helped us with the project, ensuring everything was smooth. Additionally, they’ve set up the system so we can have things partially saved in the cloud and partially on the laptops.
How did you come to work with SYCAP IT?
SYCAP IT was created out of the former company we worked with. The owners worked for the previous company, bought it out, and gave it a new name. When I joined this company several years ago, we were already working with their team.
How much have you invested in them?
We’ve spent between £25,000–£30,000 (approximately $28,000–$34,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in November 2021, and our relationship is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We tend to measure success based on feedback from the team, and we’ve received positive feedback. SYCAP IT helped us switch over with the new website managers, and we launched the new website in February 2022. The launch was smooth, which was an obvious sign of success for the two-year project.
Moreover, we don’t have many outstanding tickets, so when we report a problem, they deal quickly with it.
How did SYCAP IT perform from a project management standpoint?
They have a support package. When we call, they usually get back to us within 45 minutes at the longest. Then, they sort out the problems and tickets.
We mainly use email for communication, but we also speak to them on the phone.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their customer service is excellent, and they’re great to work with. Our experience with SYCAP IT has been great.
Are there any areas they could improve?
In the past, someone caught COVID-19, and the ticket that person was taking care of just hung around a long time because no one else picked it up while he was off. We think they’ve already sorted it out, but they could inform each other what they’re doing for us to ensure someone can take over if needed. Additionally, there have been a couple of times where they didn’t bill us for something and would bill us later. When that has happened, they’ve given us a deep discount, but it’d be better if they send one bill when the particular work is done. Hopefully, that won’t happen again.
Overall, we appreciate that they’re a small organization with many staff and daily hours, so it isn’t a major complaint. We’ve been very happy.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Try to be precise. Always create a ticked and communicate with them. SYCAP IT is pretty flexible and easy-going, so you shouldn’t have any problems.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the head of sales and marketing at UNITAG.
What challenge were you trying to address with SYCAP IT?
We required various services, including UX design, content writing, and social media marketing for different platforms.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Initially, we assigned SYCAP IT some UX design work for our product. We had identified some user personas ourselves, so we provided them to their team. We also requested the theme and colors of their designs to be similar to our branding. They used some sophisticated software to create the UX designs we needed for our product and online portal, and they kept everything in line with our branding.
SYCAP IT did such a great job at UX design that we gave them more work, now on content writing. For this second assignment, I provided them with a brief of what we needed. They came back with the content, and we had a few iterations on it to make adjustments, after which they perfected the content.
Since then, SYCAP IT has helped us develop 20–30 pieces of content for us to post. As for our social media marketing, they manage our LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram accounts, and they answer queries from users. They’ve also helped us develop our monthly content calendar.

How did you come to work with SYCAP IT?
We were introduced to them through their sales manager, who was a friend of someone we knew.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent roughly £30,000–£40,000 (approximately $35,000–$46,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started our partnership around March 2022, and it is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Thanks to SYCAP IT, we’ve seen a massive improvement in our lead generation and visibility. Additionally, we now have a working model of our product, and our prospect reach efforts have changed positively due to the product portfolio they helped us build.
How did SYCAP IT perform from a project management standpoint?
During the first month, SYCAP IT’s time management wasn’t very good, but they've been on point from the second month onwards, sometimes even delivering earlier than expected. Whenever we need help quickly, they can get people on board and assign them to the tasks fast.
As per communication, SYCAP IT is very available. We usually communicate with them via Microsoft Teams meetings, phone calls, and text messages. Moreover, we use Jira for project management.
What did you find most impressive about them?
SYCAP IT provides quality work at a very competitive price. With other companies, we would pay four times what we now pay to get the same quality of work.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be good if SYCAP IT improved their scheduling. They need a person in their team dedicated to keeping people on track because I’m constantly the one telling them which tasks have been completed and which ones are still pending.
Any advice for potential customers?
Compare their price to other companies, compare the quality of their work, and make up your mind.
