Voted as 'Sheffield's Best Nightclub' for 7 years, CODE hosts the biggest student events in Yorkshire. With the Covid pandemic drastically affecting the hospitality industry, the mission was to return front and centre stage within the nightlife scene. Partnering with Swype, we accomplished this mission with a website redesign, innovative SEO strategy and guerrilla marketing techniques which resulted in a 19x return on investment generating over £1 million in gross ticket revenue over 12 months.

After experiencing first-hand, the pandemic's effect on the hospitality sector within the UK, the nightlife venue CODE had one goal coming out of the lockdown: to thrive in the industry above all odds and competitors.

Partnering with Swype, we accomplished this mission with a website redesign, innovative SEO strategy and guerrilla marketing techniques which resulted in a 19x return on investment generating over £1 million in gross ticket revenue over 12 months. The landing page included a fast-paced video using close-ups, visual effects, and quick transitions to excite and engage the user.

Other site features included multiple videos, animations, moving text and interactive elements in a dark theme, perfectly capturing the audience demographic and driving overall conversions by 214%. Since this achievement, CODE has firmly established itself as the leading nightlife venue in the Yorkshire region. Swype continues to support the venue with frequent updates to the site, including the marketing and design of all new events.
