I’m the senior solution support manager at Serrala. We are an international solution provider for inbound and outbound payments and other finance systems. We optimize cash visibility and secure financial processes.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

After researching several video production companies, I was impressed with the services provided within the cost of producing the video. They also gave us a very detailed RFP, so I knew what to expect during production.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

We had a very straightforward process with specific milestones. The project began with a creative brief that I submitted and then we had a discovery call. Next, they created two script concepts that went through two rounds of review. We received two storyboard concepts that went through review. At this stage, their team also provided multiple voiceover talents for us to choose from. We then completed the storyboard and moved to the animation phase, which included additional rounds of review and finalizing everything we discussed. We are currently still creating more videos in the series.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

We work with their account executive, producer, scriptwriter, and animator.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We’ve already created five videos with them and are in the process of making two more. So far, we are pleased with the quality, and we’ve received excellent feedback. They have been vital in telling our company’s story.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They are a great team to work with; they’ve done an excellent job at helping us reach our goals for brand awareness. They’ve been very good at reaching out with questions, coming up with scripts and visual concepts, and letting my team focus on our responsibilities.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

At the time of the project, I was working with a global technology company. I was the senior manager of marketing and sales programs within the commercial mobility team.

What challenge were you trying to address with Switch Video?

I was tasked with designing, implementing, and scaling marketing sales programs for a smartphone we released. We felt strongly that no other handheld devices had similar features or capabilities. Our goal was to establish a market presence. We contracted with Switch Video to produce videos to educate our sales force about the product.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked together to complete three graphic animation videos, each about 2 minutes long. In each case, we provided them with a brief of our goals and intentions for the video. After some deliberation, they developed a script and presented us with some imagery, which was then built out into our final videos.

What is the team composition?

Our team consisted of an account manager, a writer, and a graphic illustrator.

I had worked with them at Cisco, and I was so impressed by the work that I engaged them.

The engagement lasted from May until October 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The videos were well-received by the sales team. They delivered the messaging and content that was much-needed. The sales team reported that they enjoyed learning from it as well as using it in their sales processes. The videos were primarily internal tools, but there was one external video, if I’m not mistaken, and that was released on YouTube and received a healthy number of views.

How did Switch Video perform from a project management standpoint?

They are simply outstanding. They were patient with us as we went through several rounds of revisions. They are quite understanding and accommodating.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their style of writing is notable. It delivers what we need it to deliver without being overbearing. Their writer delivered brilliant results. Their video storytelling skills are unmatched.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. I found them to be the perfect partner.

Any advice for potential customers?

It all starts with clarity. Be clear about what you want. If you convey clarity to them, they can convey clarity back to you.
