I’m the co-founder of Decoro Software Solutions, a software solutions company focused on the construction space.

What challenges were you trying to address with Switch Creative?

I needed a strong software development partner that could see my vision and bring it to life.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Switch Creative Solutions Inc. provides custom software development based on our ideas using JavaScript as their main tool. They do extensive research to see how we can proceed, considering the market challenges we might face and giving the insight to elevate our solution into something better. In addition, they create user personas to understand the key users of the platform and then develop mock-up designs so we can find the platform’s key features.

What was the team composition? 

We’ve worked with around nine members of Switch Creative Solutions Inc.’s team, including a project manager, a senior UI/UX designer, four developers, a QA specialist, and a security engineer.

How did you come to work with Switch Creative Solutions Inc.?

Switch Creative Solutions Inc. had worked with other colleagues on other projects in which I was involved, and after looking them up, we chose them for the project because they seemed fantastic and had a great reputation.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent around $200,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2022, and the engagement is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Switch Creative Solutions Inc.’s work and support have been instrumental in this project. They’ve done so much research and provided me with a lot of feedback and guidance that I probably wouldn’t have been able to launch this platform without them.

How did Switch Creative Solutions Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Switch Creative Solutions Inc.’s project management has been exceptional. Their team delivers ahead of deadlines, keeps me updated on the progress, and is on top of every challenge. They always know what’s going on, so we have no shortage of communication. Regarding tools, we use Slack, WhatsApp, ClickUp, and phone calls — they’re always available for me.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Switch Creative Solutions Inc. cares about our project and even does things outside the project's scope, going above and beyond our expectations. Their team is also proactive, transparent, and helpful, making them feel more like a team rather than an outside hire.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on because I’ve been so happy with their work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open and communicative, treat them like a team, and accept their guidance. That’ll help them to take your project to a whole different scale.

What challenge were you trying to address with Switch Creative Solutions Inc.?

I was looking for a vendor with deep technical knowledge that could provide consulting for data warehousing engagements. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Switch Creative provides data warehousing support for one of our clients, a mid-level financial institution that offers a number of payment cards. They also provide analytics reporting of their daily operations. Working within the client's platform on AWS, they're touching technologies that include Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, and Terraform AWS. 

What is the team composition? 

I work with four people, including Simon (Founder, Switch Creative Solutions Inc.), a project manager, and a couple of developers. I have daily scrum meetings with our project manager. 

How did you come to work with Switch Creative Solutions Inc.?

A friend of a friend recommended them. Compared to other vendors I shortlisted, Switch Creative offered the best resources for the job. 

How much have you invested with them?

Our budget is $42,000, and we've spent about two-thirds of that thus far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've been working together since March 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The fact that we've been able to proceed with this engagement at all is a testament to how great of a partner they are. To go from the POC to an actual data warehousing engagement would've been impossible given the amount of technical work that needed to be done without their help. We can completely count on Switch Creative to not only meet our needs, but to also keep the project on track. Once it's completed in the upcoming weeks, I'm confident we'll be very happy with the results. 

How did Switch Creative Solutions Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They've been exceptional team players. Not only do I see them every day, but I also speak with my project manager multiple times a day. There's certainly no shortage of communication. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're reliable, which is a big deal to us. They also offer a variety of skill sets, so they were able to match us with the right people on their team to meet our unique needs. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing at this time. They've been very attentive thus far.
