Please describe your company and your position there.

Founder and CEO of Centralgroove. Centralgroove is a HIPAA compliant networking and communications platform for Dentists. Our mission is to simplify the lives of Dentists by centralizing their industry contacts, communications and files so they can be more efficient, less stressed and focus on serving their patients.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Sublime Data Systems?

We hired Sublime to take over the development of our MVP. We worked with a prior company to build the initial product but after a complicated mess of contractual issues, we were left with a very large but barely functioning app. We approached Sublime to take on the project so that we could make the improvements needed to take our software to market.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were to refocus on the core feature set and optimize them over a relatively short amount of time so that we could start onboarding users ASAP.

How did you select this vendor?

Our CTO identified Sublime after exploring several options. After the first conversation with Sahil and his Team, I immediately felt that they were genuinely interested in partnering with us to achieve our set goals.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

They worked on a very tight schedule in 1-week sprints which required consistent communication and feedback. Changes were managed, completed, tested and deployed through each week.

What was the team composition?

Our team started was usually around 3 people- two front end and one back end. There were some minor changes in the team members but it was usually customized based on our own feedback.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Sublime really helped us out of a difficult situation. They were able to pick up the pieces and get us back on track. Further, as a pre-revenue start up, we have had to manage our resources very closely. Sahil was very understanding of this and went out of his way to figure out a structure and working relationship that worked best for us rather than following rigid protocols.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was handled well. We used VSTS boards and they were updated and commented on as per our preferences. One resource was designated as the main point of communication for us and he managed the others as needed.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Once again, the most impressive thing we found with Sublime is their willingness to work with their clients in order to flesh out the most beneficial solution that is customized based on the client’s needs and expectations.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The only area that comes to mind is to give us ample notice if there needs to be a change in a resource. Although, this never affected productivity or the overall goals of our project, we were surprised a couple times when we found that someone had to be reassigned. I our case, when it did happen, we ended up with a better team in the end.

Our team was 5 people, plus 3 other people from Sublime Data Sys (part-time).

We launched on time, high quality code.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We used Jira and Slack for communication, everything went smooth.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Very serious and professional. Good work quality.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No. All our feedback was taken very seriously and all issues fixed in time. We would not have continued working with them otherwise. :-)
