How did you select this vendor?
The old adage "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies here. Studio Red has worked on multiple design and engieering projects for me over the past 25 years - and never failed to deliver the quality industrial design and engineering on-time, and on budget. Why in the world would I risk a critical project to a new, unknown design and engineering company?
Describe the project in detail.
Think back to the last time you filled out that awful patient information intake form when you first visited your doctor. More than 100 questions - "Does our family have a history of heart disease?", "What do you weigh?", “Has your weight changed over the past year?” “Are you in any pain? Where?”, “Are you on any medications?”... and on, and on, and on.
Fidotek needs the same information on each dog, and we know how little the pet owner will want to tap out 100 answers on a smartphone – the antithesis of an enjoyable consumer experience.
In fact, most consumers will stop entering the data before they are finished - and we'd both lose. So, the objective was to engineer an APP that was instantly fun and engaging, capturing only the first essential dog information that would allow Fidotek to start its digital diagnostics and deliver meaningful information back to the pet owner.
And, when we deliver that dog health knowledge back to the pet owner, to create an instant, trusted relationship with the dog owner. Then, over the days and weeks following, we can continue to engage by displaying another 2 or 3 questions that the owner is more than happy to answer, thereby progressively providing 100% of the answers through continuous, fun and meaningful APP engagement.
What was the team composition?
We were assigned a project manager and a team of 3 that included graphical, UX/UI and consumer engagement engineers who immersed in the pet owner experience (pets are literally the "kids" of our customer base). The output would then be transferred to our internal team for coding.
