What was the scope of their involvement?

Stigan Media designed and developed our website, and they continue to optimize it as needed. I provided their team with some examples of sites I liked, and they provided input where they could make improvements along the way. The also provide other SEO services, oversee retargeting ads, create content for our blogs, and manage paid ads (AdWords and Facebook). We typically sit down with their team each month to go over analytics and strategies, such as geofencing and internal marketing ideas.

I primarily work with Adwin (Managing Partner and Account Manager, Stigan Media) and Kelsey (Digital Strategist, Stigan Media), who provides a lot of the creative. I also touch base with Sandro (Managing Director, Stigan Media) on occasion.

A friend of mine recommended them. Adwin was very tech savvy, but able to explain everything in layman's terms, so we developed a very strong relationship from the start. He also came up with a lot of great ideas.

We've been working with them since November 2012.

Stigan Media contributes to our consistent growth of 15% year over year. The online presence they've helped us establish is responsible for most of our new patient generation. 

How did Stigan Media perform from a project management standpoint?

They're very honest and transparent about their services. They won't try to encourage clients to spend money unnecessarily without being able to justify it first. They also hold us accountable for what they need from us, which is refreshing–it feels as though they're a part of our team.

They stick to timeframes they set and even make themselves available to take on last-minute projects as needed. We generally email every day, and I meet with Adwin for lunch every month. Overall, it's been a very seamless process.

They're genuine people, eager to help grow our business. They always check in with us to see if there's anything they can improve or clarify.

I can't think of anything. We're very happy with their services and client management overall.

I wasn't happy with our existing website team as far as their communication and how long it took them to make changes.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Stigan Media Inc rebuilt our whole website and migrated the site to WordPress. At this point, I just let them do everything. They manage about six websites and domain names for me now, and we just launched two of them in the last month.

They manage some of our social media channels, including Facebook. They provide SEO and Google Ads services as well. They’re my team for digital media. It all goes through them to determine if it’s a good idea for us and how much money to spend. They introduce me to new technology, such as geofencing. I trust them, so I told them to do it. They track everything and meet with us regularly to go over the metrics.

Work started around April 2015, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We track every single sale that comes through the door. We’re seeing a lot more sales coming from Google, Facebook, or other online channels. They’ve done a great job. If something doesn't work, we don't repeat it. They help me decide where to spend my dollars. They give me regular recommendations and reports. Everything makes sense. 

How did Stigan Media Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

Adwin is very accommodating. I mostly communicate with him through email or text. I can email him late on a Sunday night—not expecting a response until the morning—and he’ll reply if he's awake. 90% of the time he answers even late at night. That kind of service is really over the top. Other times we'll make an appointment for him come to the store or me to go to his office. He'll go over everything and show us reports of what’s broken and what we can improve. I trust his judgment on where we should spend our ad dollars. He’s good about suggesting we shift the money around instead of adding to the overall budget. 

What did you find most impressive about them? 

I've been to the office a few times and met all of the staff. Everybody at Stigan Media Inc is excellent. It’s really nice to be able to meet in person instead of having to send so many emails back and forth. They're so helpful and always on the same page. I truly believe they’ve got my best interests in mind.

Are there any areas they could improve? 

No, I don’t think so. Communication and speed of service are most important to me, and they exceed my expectations on every level. Adwin calls me back right away no matter what time of day, even after hours. I also appreciate that they save me money by being honest about how and where I should invest resources. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Stigan Media Inc is the team you want. They’re super flexible and available seven days a week. I’ve told people I know that their website looks terrible compared to mine. If they want it to look better, they need to work with Adwin and his team. I’m not an expert in SEO or anything digital, but I know that we're in business because of Stigan Media Inc’s work. They’ll help you figure out how to get more profit coming through online and the door.

As a chocolate company, we experience an intense sales period from October–December each year. We go through eight months of planning and strategy with Stigan Media before each busy season. That enables them to keep up with our needs adequately. We have daily meetings during that time, so it’s like they’re a part of my team. We have a larger budget set aside for PPC campaigns, but they put us in touch with another vendor for that project.

We’ve had three new websites over the course of three years, and Stigan Media has been involved in every step of the way. We hired a separate agency to build the current website, but Stigan Media was integral to its structural design and keyword implementation. Stigan Media Inc fixed several features that were broken on the old website. For example, the contact form never fully worked properly. They got that up and running for us, as well as fixing a number of broken links. The rest was fairly standard, such as buttons and forms.

In addition, none of the previous backend work was created properly for Google optimization. Stigan Media Inc developed a new SEO-friendly backend that ties into our Google Ads campaign.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Stigan Media Inc completed the web redesign and launched our new site. We’re already getting better ranking on Google just a few months later. That was our main goal, so that's good. We just got tracking added last week to measure conversions from our Google ad campaign. We plan to talk to them in the next few months about bringing them back on to manage SEO on a regular basis. 

In addition, we just bought one of our competitors in a different market. We really wanted to have a web presence when people search in Calgary. So far it looks like it’s working. I'm starting to get phone calls from Calgary, and I know it's from people that found us online. 

How did Stigan Media Inc perform from a project management standpoint? 

Their team is good. To be totally honest, I wasn't super impressed with the first version of the website. They came back and kept working on it until I was happy. They did it for no additional cost, which was excellent. I'm old school so we mostly communicated by phone and email. 

What did you find most impressive about them? 

There was a point where I wasn’t happy with the website but felt that we needed to get it up in advance of our Calgary opening. They wanted to make sure the new website was exactly what I wanted. He went back to the drawing table and came up with a product that we're really happy with.

Overall, I’m pretty happy. In terms of timing, any delay was my fault because I got busy and dropped the ball.

Having all your content together at the start makes their life easier. They can turn your site around a lot quicker if you have all your media and other requirements ready to go.

Sandro is excellent at providing an accurate time frame for how long it will take to complete work on a project. He's upfront about his time. If he's busy, he’ll let me know that he can't get to that task for a week or so. He's really honest and open.

They're easy to get along with, and always willing to help. I wanted to change the format for sales pages, which was complicated. Sandro had me come down to their shop to go over the project with the whole group. They really care about the company and making sure that they deliver on my vision. I also appreciate that they teach me how to manage the site myself so I don’t have to call them all the time to make changes.

We needed help with digital marketing. We were looking at hiring a salesforce and doing a lot of old-school sales and legwork. It was brought to our attention that digital marketing was a more modern way to go.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We knew nothing about Google AdWords, so they helped us get everything up and running, including scoping out the campaign, the segments, and target audience. They created individual landing pages to funnel those targeted individuals. They also were able to optimize the landing pages.

As we started seeing traffic flowing into the landing pages, we included keywords for people looking for those services. Stigan were then able to tweak it even further to maximize the performance and outcomes of the landing pages, as well as to boost our conversion rate. They helped us really boost sales and did an amazing job with our campaign.

We did content marketing for the landing pages. Stigan has been our go-to company for digital marketing. They also optimized our old website, which we’d had a lot of performance issues with. That helped to increase the conversions and boost the overall performance so that it loads faster and better on mobile devices.

We didn’t pick up clients right away, but that’s expected from a newly launched website. Four months in, we started getting inquiries and direct phone calls. Now, it’s a stable website that generates successful leads.

They provide progress reports, but we don’t pay them much attention because we’re focused mainly on incoming inquiries. We’re happy with these numbers. So far, it’s been a very productive and efficient partnership because we share the same goal. Also, there’s always someone available to answer my questions and handle my requests.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We lack digital marketing experience, but their team doesn’t use this to their advantage. They explain their work thoroughly and clearly, always keeping their promises in terms of service and quality.

Not much, but sending the draft of the blog to us before putting it live on our website would be helpful.
