WordPress Dev & SEO for Digital Advertising Company
"They're very personable and quick to respond — in this day and age, that translates to value."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP at AC Advertising and Consulting, a digital advertising company. We work with local and national accounts, ranging from small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to multimillion-dollar companies.
What challenge were you trying to address with Steve The Website Guy?
We needed help with website development and SEO efforts for our company and the businesses we work with. Google algorithms are always changing, so you need to have a website that reflects that. Similarly, SEO is like the yellow pages from 30 years ago. If you have a business, you should be online, and you need to be found.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Steve The Website Guy has helped us with the development of multiple WordPress websites for our clients that had less than desirable websites. Most of them were developed from scratch, but they can also work on existing websites. Right now, they’re developing a landing page from an existing site. They’re also in the process of creating and updating our own website.
Additionally, they provide SEO services, which are really important. Steve (Founder) helps ensure that our clients’ businesses can be found.
What is the team composition?
We deal directly with Steve. He relies on other people from his team, but he is our go-to person if we have any issues or suggestions.
How did you come to work with Steve The Website Guy?
In 2018, we had a customer — he was a criminal attorney — who needed a website. We looked for a web designer on Google. Steve’s name popped up, so we figured that he also did SEO. We interviewed him and three other companies.
We liked that Steve was very upfront and willing to share information with us during the interview. We knew his craft, and he got back to us when we asked them to, so we decided he was the best fit for our corporation.
How much have you invested with them?
We have spent between $58,000–$100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2018, and the partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The first client that we worked for together had approximately 200 people visiting their website prior to us coming on board. Since we built their site and managed their SEO efforts, he’s now reaching an average of 1,200 people per month — that’s significant.
Our own website is not online yet because I’m still building out content, and it takes a while. When it comes to your own things, everything goes on the back burner. However, I am targeting at least 1,000 visits per month. That’s my goal, but SEO takes time.
How did Steve The Website Guy perform from a project management standpoint?
We normally communicate through texts or email. Steve has other platforms he uses with newer customers, but because we’ve known him for so long, we have bypassed that. He’s like a friend to me now, so we just feel more comfortable reaching out to him through phone or email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The most impressive part of our engagement is that they’re very personable and quick to respond — in this day and age, that translates to value.
There have been situations where we work in the political space, and candidates need websites created and launched very quickly. He’s been able to get them done within 48 hours, which is pretty impressive.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t have anything bad to say about them— they’ve been really good.
Any advice for potential customers?
Speaking from an ad agency standpoint, have an idea of what you want. Build out content so that they can get right into it. If you don’t have content, they can build it out, but you need to have an idea of how you want the website to look and what type of information you want on there. Don’t expect him to come up with everything — you have to give him an idea.

Website Design for Consulting Company Client
"Steve truly wants to please his clients."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m self-employed. I provide digital marketing and business consulting services.
What challenge were you trying to address with Steve The Website Guy?
Steve (Owner) built a website for a client of mine.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I presented Steve with the client’s needs, and he helped come up with a template and design for their WordPress website.
It was for a local real estate agent looking to highlight the high-end homes that she sells. He designed the website that featured that, along with taking photographs of some of the homes. It’s a competitive area for real estate agents, but Steve thought about ways to help her website stand out. He also assisted with SEO.
What is the team composition?
Steve might receive insights from the professionals he works with, but he built the entire site for the most part.
How did you come to work with Steve The Website Guy?
I worked on a couple of other projects with him through a different agency that I do consult for. Steve and I had a great working relationship. I liked his work and communication style. Because of past experiences, I knew that he was reliable and talented and that I could trust him.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent less than $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in April 2020, and the website launched in June 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The client’s website receives a lot of positive compliments. They believe it stands out in the competitive real estate market.
Whenever my client had questions, Steve worked directly with her. I was impressed with the fast turnaround, and my client was happy with what was delivered. She felt that the site was a great way to get her name out, especially during COVID-19. Although I don’t have any hard metrics, she’s said that she’s received more visibility, which I feel like that’s pretty reliable.
How did Steve The Website Guy perform from a project management standpoint?
We mostly used email and phone because I like to work directly with people. He was responsive. We also used Zoom and talked through text.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’ve worked with a lot of digital marketing experts and companies. Steve truly wants to please his clients. He has a smart, easygoing personality. He doesn’t overpromise; he is realistic.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not really. I’ve been pleased with Steve. He’s easy to work with, and I have no complaints at all.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My biggest advice would be to gather your information, get everything that you need to make a beautiful website, and give it to him at once. Things could get lost in translation if you were piecemealing for projects like these.
For the most part, I think Steve works better when he has a task to do, but he needs that information to complete the task.

Outsourced Web Design for Digital Marketing Agency
"It’s really a godsend that we were able to find them so early in our business."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re a digital marketing agency for contractors, and we provide SEO and web design.
What challenge were you trying to address with Steve The Website Guy?
Steve (Owner) has been the web designer we’ve been using for the last two years.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Steve The Website Guy operates as an extension of our team, and they build websites for our clients. The onboarding is where we typically go over the outline of the content, then Steve and his team will build the website, as well as the design and written content based on the information we provide them.
Moreover, they build the website through a platform called WordPress Elementor.
What is the team composition?
I deal mostly with Steve, but I know he has a few people who he works with.
How did you come to work with Steve The Website Guy?
I actually worked with Steve on a previous project after someone introduced me to him. We just continued to connect and over time, he became my go-to guy.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve probably spent about $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our partnership started in August 2019, and it’s still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I believe that Steve’s website designs are responsible for millions in revenue for our clients in regards to the conversion — and also hundreds of thousands in revenue for us. They will continue to put in the time for the work until everyone is satisfied. I know there are always going to be some edits, but they’re always done in a really timely manner, which makes the clients happy.
How did Steve The Website Guy perform from a project management standpoint?
They perform really well — you can give them a deadline and they’ll hit them. Steve’s always on top of everything to make sure that we look good, and that things are getting done.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What’s really helpful in general is just having someone that’s good at design. They build a really solid infrastructure for the websites to rank well, and do what they need to do to generate revenue, while also being very design-centric and aesthetically pleasing.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I wish Steve could clone himself, but no, everything has been great. It’s really a godsend that we were able to find them so early in our business, and we believe that Steve has a huge part in our success.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The big thing I would say is to make it your responsibility to provide them with the right information. They’re very self-sufficient so he’s usually going to try and put together something based on what you give them.
Steve The Website Guy has become the agency’s go-to digital partner based on their ability to drive results, boosting one end-client’s traffic by more than 1,000 visitors. Personable and responsive, the team works quickly to meet tight deadlines. They’re committed to total customer satisfaction.
