BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO of Dynaread, a commercial, cloud-based special education company. We help tens of thousands of students in their struggle with reading, offering free online dyslexia testing and low-cost online remediation. We’re based in British Columbia and we have team members stationed globally.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Stavyah Technologies?
As an online company, it’s critical for us to maintain a flawless, cloud-based platform. We had relied on a number of different companies to build each phase of our platform, and we needed an affordable vendor to create the latest iteration.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Stavyah was responsible for creating two versions, Dynaread 7 and Dynaread 8. The first focused on optimizing our platform for mobile devices. This was a complicated task, as it required incredibly precise coordination between our audio and visual dynamics. Configuring this for Apple products was especially challenging.
They also built and released our standardized diagnostic comparative analysis (SDCA) Dyslexia Test, which is available through the website.
What is the team composition?
I worked directly with the Founder, Mangesh Kagale. We pay very strict attention to the character of our partners, and he’s a very trustworthy man and an excellent communicator.
How did you come to work with Stavyah Technologies?
Since we provide free and low-cost services, the price is always an important consideration for us. Our previous vendor was a Vancouver-based agency and we decided we could cut costs by hiring an overseas team. We researched a number of companies, conducted interviews, and ultimately determined that Stavyah could provide reliable service at an affordable rate.
They equipped us with a personal team and it was a terrific blessing to work with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from June 2015 to November 2017.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The SDCA evaluation has helped make us a world leader in online dyslexia testing.
We’re very satisfied with our platform. This may sound unbelievable, but we have hardly any technical support requests, as the site works flawlessly on PC, Mac, Apple, and Android devices. It’s also easy to use. Users don’t have to install any programs or read complex instructions.
How did Stavyah Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
We managed the project in-house, assigning tasks and overseeing the engineers.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They made it possible for us to enjoy their engineering on our terms. They were flexible enough to adapt to our preferred work methods, which is not something every company does. The dedication of their engineers was also incredible. Their enthusiasm made it a joy to work with them.
Because we provide services to children, the site’s reliability was extremely important to us. Many of these children have struggled with reading for years and may be on the edge of giving up, so we couldn’t afford poor cloud performance that may rob them of an opportunity. Stavyah understood this and provided flawless code.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. They treated me well, so I don't have any suggestions.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Communicate your needs and find qualified engineers you feel good about. This is good advice when working with any developers, not just Stavyah.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
MetWorld Solutions provides design services related to mechanical engineering and also software related to management and designs.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Stavyah?
I’ve been a user of a CRM software for more than 10 years with my German company. When I started this business, I wanted to continue to use it but found that I couldn’t because of some legalities. We decided to develop the software on our own and needed outside help for development.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
The CRM is used mainly to organize the marketing and sales activities of our company. We would like to take it to the marketplace for customers who are looking for such a solution, as well. Stavyah helps us not only develop, but to develop the market. In the first phase of 6 months, we developed a basic platform. Since then, we’ve been adding features. We expect development to be complete in 2018 and plan to take it to market.
What is the team composition?
We mainly interacted with Mangesh [CEO and co-founder, Stavyah Technologies] with respect to the structure of the software. We also had a contact who took care of the user interface. We interacted with quite a few developers on a feature to feature basis.
How did you come to work with Stavyah?
I don’t have any software development background. They were able to understand our requirements, give us proof of concepts, and check our intentions. I was able to learn how software development really works and how to put a requirement to the team so that development happens faster.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $30,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March 2016, and the work is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’m a user and a tester of the product. My team uses it continuously. The usage of the software is increasing. Any sales or marketing activity requires continuous monitoring of quality communications. I’ve been sharing the software with some of my friends who are entrepreneurs and some part-time businesses. We continue to try it out in different businesses. I’ve been getting good feedback because it stores emails, documents, and anything that can be opened on a computer. It instantly gives the user a complete set of documents that are related to a particular product. No other software is able to do that. They are doing a good job.
How did Stavyah perform from a project management standpoint?
This was our first experience so it was difficult to communicate the right way so a developer could understand. When we first started, I would have said their project management was poor, but they improved. Once the product is launched and they start supporting it, I’m sure their project management will probably be great.
We communicate via phone and email. We use Bugzilla for all the requirements, our core features, and bug reporting.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s not a heavily invested company, but they really try to focus on the customer. The team is quite flexible. They don’t have a large hierarchy which shortens the time and the discussion. They’re flexible in terms of any discussion and requirement changes.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could develop more skill sets. Currently, they use Angular JS, Java, PHP, and more. Being on the mechanical engineering side, I see there are other interfaces that they could develop over human machine interference. They are more focused on software development, but I suggested they could look into it.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They’re a team that develops what you want. Compared to other companies, their price is quite reasonable. Though some people might find they’re a very small company, the skill level is really good in terms of software development.
