A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m CEO of Filament Creative, a full-service digital creative agency in Toronto. We focus on user experience and creating unexpected experiences in the digital space.

What challenge were you trying to address with Stature Films?

The nature of our work was changing from a static to a more dynamic digital experience. We wanted to engage with audiences and to help them convert along a user journey. We determined the best way to do that involves elements of video storytelling.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They’ve produced no less than 15 live action videos for us. There isn't a typical style. They have on occasion supported us with scripting, but generally we come to the table with a script or an idea of what a script should say. They always provide support on storyboarding. We talk to them like they’re a member of our team. They helps us brainstorm in order to figure out the best way to represent an idea or theme. They pull in inspiration from other sources as needed.

What is the team composition?

We work with all members of their team.

How did you come to work with Stature Films?

We've done some digital work for other film companies, but we felt Stature Films was the best fit. Their founders have an entrepreneurial mindset. We thought it would be an easy partnership.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent close to $100,000 CAD (approximately $76,300 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around January 2015 and they completed our most recent project in August 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of the videos are fantastic. They're part of a larger experience that we create for our clients. Overall, the conversion rate on client websites is up more than expected. The videos definitely helped us create the context for that increase.

How did Stature Films perform from a project management standpoint?

Like us, they’re a small team. It's great when everyone contributes to make sure that we get things done properly and on time. They work with our project manager to satisfy our clients and generate a positive experience.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a pleasure to work with. They're not afraid to do what's right. They’re focused on delivering the best quality, and they do it with a smile.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their project management could be more attuned to the client. However, that's the nature of being a small team that has to do a lot of juggling.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Understand that they take video very seriously. Pulling off something that looks simple is incredibly hard. Be prepared to have significant discussions about how to execute the project in the best possible way.
