Building online experiences people love to use
Station Four was created by UF grads Chris Olberding and Chris Lahey in 2007 with a single vision—doing great work for awesome clients. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, we devise marketing strategies, design websites, create applications, and build brands—and we have fun doing it.
If it's in a browser (or printed, or on a phone, or... you get the idea) we're your company. From winning national web design competitions to creating custom software for the Department of Defense, we have a wide range of experience and talent to apply to your project big or small.

Baptist Health is the largest healthcare system in Northeast Florida. We operate a network of five hospitals from our headquarters in Jacksonville, FL.
What is your role at the company?
I serve as the marketing and branding director for Baptist Health.
What was the business challenge that you were trying to address when you approached Station Four?
We've been trying to develop an online community for women in Northeast Florida that would support everyday health and wellness. We were looking to create a digital platform that would support this goal.
What was the scope of the project, and can you describe the specific services provided by Station Four?
They fully designed and developed, baptistgoodforyou.com. a social platform and blog that helps women lead healthier and more fulfilling lives. The site offers articles by experts in women's health, a place for women to share their own stories of health problems and triumphs, informs women about various activities and meetups sponsored by Baptist Health, and has a host of other features.
What was your process for selecting them to work with?
Another division within Baptist Health had worked with them in the past, and had a very positive experience working with them, so we chose them for that reason.
Can you give us a general estimate of the size of the project in dollar terms or personnel work hours?
The project was between $50,000 and $100,000.
When did the project begin, and when was it completed?
It began sometime in the Spring [2014] and wrapped up in August.
What were the results of the project, and are there any metrics you can share?
The results of the project have been positive. In the first six months since the website launched, we have signed up 2,500 users.
How did they perform in terms of the quality of their work?
Their performance was excellent. The website looks great, works well, and has had minimal problems or bugs. Station Four was very professional throughout the process. They took the initial brief that we gave them, and created solutions for all the problems we mentioned, and even some that we didn't even know we had.
When working with them, was there anything unique or special about them compared to other partners you may have worked with?
It was just a pleasure working with them. Their team dynamics are very strong, and they integrated well with our IT team. We had very productive in-person meetings, but I also loved using the online collaboration tool.
Looking back on the project do you have any constructive criticism? Is there any area that they could improve or you would do differently?
No, there's nothing of significance.

Web Modernization for Firehouse Subs
They were able to give us a website that had its own distinct flavor and feel, but was still very accessible to the user.

Firehouse Subs is a leader in the fast-casual restaurant movement. We're a specialty sub and sandwich chain based in Jacksonville Florida, with more than 850 locations nationwide.
What is your role at the company?
I’m the senior manager of digital marketing.
What was the business challenge that you were trying to address when you approached Station Four?
Our website was antiquated and unresponsive. Upward of 60 percent of traffic to our website was from mobile devices, and these users were having a terrible experience.
What was the scope of the project, and can you describe the specific services provided?
Station Four completely overhauled our company’s website, frontend and backend. They refreshed the website, not only in terms of usability, but also the general design and feel of the website.
What was your process for selecting Station Four with which to work?
We have worked with Station Four on a number of projects, mostly revolving around graphic and digital design. While this was the largest project we've done with them, there was definitely a certain comfort level we had with their team. It also helped that they were located here in Jacksonville with us.
Can you give us a general estimate of the size of the project in dollar terms or personnel work hours?
The project was in the $80,000 to $100,000 range.
What were the results of the project? Are there any metrics you can share?
The results have been fantastic, and we are extremely pleased with Station Four’s work. Subjectively, I know the site is leagues ahead of where it was. It’s hard to give specific metrics that point to that success because while our site traffic has certainly increased, we also simultaneously launched a nationwide advertising campaign, so it’s hard to say how much of the increase was due to that.
When working with Station Four, was there anything unique or special about them compared to other partners with which you may have worked?
I would say their sense of design is where they excelled. They brought their own ideas to the table and really expanded our thinking in terms of what was possible. They were able to give us a website that had its own distinct flavor and feel, but was still very accessible to the user.
Looking back on the project, do you have any constructive criticism? Is there any area that they could improve or you would do differently?
No. Not really. We are very pleased with their work.
Users are excited about the site; the platform is visually pleasing, functional, and bug-free. Station Four was professional and proactive; they addressed problems before anyone was aware of them. They integrated well with the in-house team.
