Please describe your company and your position there.

Having graduated with an MSc in Project and Enterprise management, I am a project manager at Diyar Group Company where I specialize in managing different business projects. Our company consists of 300 employees in 6 different sub companies where each company is focused on a different business category.

For what projects/services did your company hire Standing Tech Company?

Our company hired Standing Tech's high quality service to develop a mobile application for one of our current services. They developed our application from scratch with a full featured back end and API. The successfully completed the app on time and on budget, most importantly we were very happy with their service and creativity.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to develop an easy to use mobile application with which we could connect to customers effectively and efficiently. That is to say, our goal was to increase our customer base and to attract more customers to our business service through the use of a well developed app.

Based on our research for app developers in our market, we selected Standing Tech based on the various positive reviews we heard about them. After a meeting with Standing Tech we realized that they could complete our application project according to our requirements withing our allocated budget and time.

Describe the project in detail.

After a few meetings, we agreed on the project design. The project consists of an 'editable' back- end where we can edit the app within our company. The front- end of the application has different categories inside it where each category leads to various sub-categories each listing different types of products to increase our sales. Also, the application can be used in three different languages and it has a very well designed settings section. In the end, this app customers can select the products they want, then we get notified in the back- end and finally we deliver to them.

What was the team composition?

I was personally assigned to manage the project where I had a clear two way communication between myself and the developers. The developers consisted of the back- end developer and the front- end developer (mobile app developer).

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project outcome is very satisfactory. We achieved a drastic increase in our customer base and app installs. This lead to an increase in our project revenue hence profits. Besides that, we had a positive feedback on the project which further boosted our reputation.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

As mentioned previously, we had a very clear communication process among us. We had meetings once a week when necessary to make sure everything is going according to plan and in case there were extra edits required by our company. The flexibility of the app developers made the project execution much smoother. In the end, the project was finished on time and within budget.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Our app required some unplanned changes along the way, but that was not a problem for the app developers because they were flexible and patient enough to deal with our requirements in the best possible manner. In addition to that, they were creative enough to add different features to the app such as enabling GPS to detect the exact location of our customers after their approval. Lastly, their experience with mobile app development helped us to create a modern mobile application that satisfactorily met our expectations.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The notion of "Its about quality rather than quantity" can be applied here. The application was completed in high quality standards withing our allocated time and budget. Therefore, I could not find any gaps within their work.

After expanding and refurbishing our pharmacy building, we decided to update our pharmacy’s IT system. We hired Standing Tech Company to implement a POS system, enhance our store management, improve our website, and enable secure data storage.

We were hoping to increase our efficiency and serve a greater number of customers. We also wanted a platform that could track expired drugs and predict which products would be popular during each season.

The team developed a custom POS system for the pharmacy, and connected the system’s network to a centralized data center. They built out the rest of the IT infrastructure, which included WiFi and network cables. They also provided surveillance cameras and implemented physical security measures.

What was the team composition?

There was a network team, which consisted of several technicians and two network engineers, a senior software developer, and a project manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The custom POS system has attracted more customers to the pharmacy. Six months after launch, our sales had increased by 10%. After one year, we saw our costs lowered by 8%, which we attributed to our expired-item tracking and sales forecasting. Also, we've retained all of our inventory as a result of our enhanced security.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their project manager was responsive and attentive. We were able to make changes quickly due to their effective leadership. Also, their team's on-site presence allowed for seamless collaboration and rapid communication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were very selfless throughout the project. For example, there were several modules in our POS system that were outside of our initial scope, and their team built them at no additional cost. In terms of software development, they were professional and dependable. Whenever we asked for support, they sent someone to solve the issue. They were also cost-effective, delivering all of our requirements while remaining under budget.

Are there any areas for improvement?

During the first year after launch, we noticed several minor bugs in the POS system. Overall, the network and surveillance components have worked well, and the custom software has increased our efficiency.

They converted our website to a newer PHP script called PDO, and updated our data center with enhanced protective measures and a secure backup system. They also refurbished our active directory, and implemented single sign-on for our e-learning platform.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They successfully improved our internal IT system. Our network is now more secure, and we trust that our data and servers will be protected.

They were very collaborative, and we experienced zero delays. The entire process went smoothly.

They solved problems quickly and were always friendly to our team.
