We reviewed Stans's Design reviews and were impressed with the work he had done for other clients. We set up an interview where Stan did the presentation of his past work which was super impressive. We discussed about our goals and how Stan and his team can help us accomplish them. They were also priced reasonably.

Stan design completely rebranded our company. They reviewed our products at multiple marketplaces to understand what customers were saying. We communicated the values and principles of our company and the direction that we wanted to take. After a few interviews, they were able to absorb the information and helped us rebrand our image.

I worked directly with Stan and he was the owner of the agency.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The rebranding that Stan's team did was beyond our expectations. It came out better than we had expected. We are a manufacturing company and going through production. I am sure the rebranding will open doors to enter big retail stores.

We were communicating on daily bases. Once we received the design, we provided feedback which was received with no pushback. It took only a few iterations to finalize the design. We were pretty impressed with their delivery time.

They truly listened to us and were committed to learning and understanding our mission and how to impact the principles of the company visually.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing comes to mind.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Stan Branding gave us the full branding experience. We only had a logo and an out-of-date website; we didn't have a style guide. Stan (CEO & Founder) reviewed our business and compared it to our market competitors. Then he compared the design, colors, tone, messaging, and fonts of multiple companies in the market. From there, he made design recommendations, taking me through several cycles of recommendations and edits.

We continued our feedback process until we ended up with an updated logo, icon, and a complete style guide. They also provided some recommendations for our website design.

We measured their success by my satisfaction with the updated style guide and whether or not they delivered on time. Both of those factors exceeded my expectations.

Stan Branding met my deadlines and stayed within our budget. It wasn't necessary to use any project management tools; we had set milestones documented in Upwork. We also communicated through Upwork.

The depth of research and care they put into understanding our brand messaging was really impressive.

There was never a time when I thought they could've done something differently.

You need to make sure you've thought through what you're brand means to you before you get on a call with Stan Branding. Do your homework — Stan sends out questionnaires about branding preferences, so it's good to have some of that information available.

We needed help with branding services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we had an interview with Stan Branding; they submitted the examples we liked. We reviewed them between colleagues and started the work. They gave us 2–3 proposals to take the direction. Then, we reduced the direction to the final deliverables and made modifications probably 3–4 times in the middle of the process.

They delivered a PDF of about 20 pages with brand guidelines. It had the usage of logos, colors, imagery, duration, and social profiles. Also, there was one huge folder with every element from that book as in a PDF or AI file.

We only worked with Stan (Founder & CEO) from their end.

How did you come to work with Stan Branding?

We reviewed probably 25 designers. Stan picked up the job offer on one of the platforms I’d posted, and he did a presentation of their work. We chose him because his work resonated the most with what we needed.

We began our project in July 2022; they delivered it in two weeks. However, we’re still engaged with them.

Stan Branding delivered the new designs, but we haven't implemented them yet. The designs are excellent and Stan Branding completely met our expectations. 

How did Stan Branding perform from a project management standpoint?

Stan Branding relays deliverables, including Photoshop files and mockups, on time. Whenever we need edits made, Stan replies and addresses them immediately. We use Slack, monday.com, and ClickUp to manage the project.

Stan Branding has excellent design skills and they completely understand our needs.

I think Stan Branding should lower their prices.

After they received the products I sent, he took the pictures and put them together into graphic files for me.

The quality of Stan’s images was much better than the other agencies I had worked with before. I also asked him for his input and left the project in his hands — he made really good suggestions that I wouldn’t have thought of. Overall, the way he works was very good.

I’m the co-owner and COO of a company called Lullify.

What challenge were you trying to address with Stan Branding?

We needed help with graphic design for product packaging.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Stan Branding effectively helped us design 10 different labels and product packages. Each product included a little insert card with our company’s information and the product’s information.

After an initial call, I sent Stan (Founder & CEO) a document I had prepared describing the products, who we were as a company, our branding colors and fonts, some basic copy information, and a few examples of products in our space that we liked. Then, we discussed different ideas back and forth, and he sent me 3–4 mockups. We chose one of the mockups that Stan sent us, and they then developed it further.

We didn’t tell them what we wanted because we wanted them to take our elements and turn them into a great design; it was completely up to them. Thus, we had minimal iterations on the design, just to change text sizes or move headers. Finally, Stan Branding sent me the final product.

Among the packagings we worked on, they helped us design the outer wrapping that goes around a rolled-up yoga mat. Then, they worked with us on the graphic design for an unfolded cardboard box for packaging a sleep mask. Additionally, they did the graphic design and text layout for two labels that go around five different candles: the outer box label and the label of the product itself.

I communicated directly with Stan, but I don’t know if he had more people working on our project.

I found Stan Branding on Upwork when looking for different product packaging designers. I identified a few potential partners and went into each one’s website to see their previous work. Then, I contacted 2–3 different people.

Stan immediately got what we needed, and after seeing the products that he had previously done, going with him made sense.

Our initial contact happened in October 2020, and the first portion of our engagement wrapped up around December 2020. However, some things came up from our side, and we had to put the project on hold. We revisited the project around September 2021, and Stan Branding finished their work in November 2021. Currently, I hire them as needed, and if we have another product to launch, I’ll definitely reach out to them for their services again.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The design process was very seamless and professional, and Stan Branding delivered very high-quality work — I could not recommend them enough. We’re looking to launch the products this week and next week through our website, but as far as the people that we’ve shown the designs, they’d loved them. We were completely satisfied with Stan’s work, and he exceeded our expectations.

How did Stan Branding perform from a project management standpoint?

Everything Stan Branding said they would do, they did, and they delivered by the promised deadline. We communicated through Upwork, which was where the payments happened. Initially, we also had a few Zoom calls to go over the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I haven’t needed other services from them besides graphic design, but I can say from my experience that Stan Branding’s design skills are their strength. Their packaging design portfolio was amazing, and they delivered products that matched the quality of their previous work — I’m very happy with the result.

Not from my experience. The way our engagement went was perfect for what we do as a business.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

He just "got it." I supplied all of the requested documents and he nailed it on the first go around. Small edits were made and executed with ease. It's essential to have someone who is professional, thorough and knows how to achieve the desired look. But it's an added bonus when they make it feel and seem easy when there are obviously a lot of moving parts to the project.
