I selected by having many chats thru SKype. The deciding factor was the politeness and professionalism he was having during the negotiation

although there was a considerable delay, and comprehensible to the fact my business is not a common one, the outcome was what I expected and with a beautiful layout. Corrections are still in progress, but the team has shown available if after being paid.

we had written chats thru Skype, so we could review whatever was explained. Whenever sth was more complicated, we had screenshots and or video recordings, which helped the communication very much. There was a delay, but nothing that impacted my business. Besides, we found some setbacks to manage along the way

they overcame the setbacks of the project. One relied on the other, even being from different countries.

project is already installed. I simply expect to receive the support they promised to ensure the project is 100% delivered. Apart from it, nothing to include: they are impressive!

We searched online for app developers in our area and shortlisted 5. After interviewing them, we chose this vendor based on their past projects, design skills, and cost estimate.311

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss our goals and objectives. From there, the team delivered mock-ups and wireframes for our site.

After a few iterations, their team designed and developed to reflect our company's services and created a landing page with a contact form.

a project manager was our main point of contact throughout the process. There were also 2 full-stack developers and a designer working behind the scenes.

After launching our site, we saw a 70% increase in traffic, and our incoming leads doubled month over a month thanks to the landing page. Clients love the updated design, and they now have a better understanding of our services.

We had daily stand-ups with their project manager, who communicated with the rest of them. If there were any delays, they let us know ahead of time so that we could prepare.

We used to stack, Jira, and GitHub to coordinate, and they worked well with our team.

They gave us a professional site that's easy to update. My team had never worked with WordPress before, so they took the time to teach us how to update the content ourselves.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When we first launched, there were some minor bugs on the contact form. We let them know, and they were quick to fix issues.

I’m the founder of Tempshifts, a web-based staffing agency for immediate personnel needs for hotels, restaurants, and retail stores.

What challenge were you trying to address with Stalwart Info?

I needed help developing a site where B2C businesses can post immediate and short-term staffing needs, and workers in the community can pick up those shifts. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Stalwart Info purchased a basic WordPress marketplace site and used that to develop a new website. This involved a lot of coding on the backside; they worked on the WordPress and Laravel code to modify the site to my needs. Additionally, they handled the site’s colors, layout, font, and everything that changed within the site. They also created landing pages, blog posts, and payment options.

We had a mutual, back-and-forth discovery process. I discussed with Stalwart Info how I wanted the platform to work, and they came up with ideas on how it could work better. In the first few meetings, they ran with what I needed to get done with the site. 

They have already completed the project, but it’s still under warranty. However, because I’m not a technical person, I will more than likely continue the relationship with Stalwart Info when I have changes to implement on the site. Since they developed and knew the system inside and out, I will use them for any improvements in the future. 

What is the team composition?

Kamdar (CEO) was the only person I worked with throughout the process. However, I know that he had other people working on the site because I had to create log-in accounts for several people. 

How did you come to work with Stalwart Info?

I placed an ad on a WordPress development site, and about 12 people replied. I narrowed them down to three, and out of the three, two had responded to set up a meeting to talk further. 

Although the two shortlisted vendors had similar pricing, I liked Kamdar's background based on what I saw on LinkedIn — he worked in development and came up through the ranks before starting his own company. We had a very similar vibe and background, so I liked that. I felt comfortable with him and thought that he was honest.

I had spent $3,200.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership lasted from April–June 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The site was well laid out, and it received many positive comments about its setup and design. It worked properly. 

How did Stalwart Info perform from a project management standpoint?

Stalwart Info was good at project management, and they were quick to respond. Although things took a few extra days, I was informed about it. They communicated all the way through and definitely exceeded my expectations.

We did conference calls early on. However, I had a difficult time because whenever we spoke, I wasn’t in a quiet office — I’m probably driving to and from work. The easiest way we found to communicate was through Skype and email. Additionally, we used Lightbox to take screenshots of what the site was doing. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They worked and accomplished tasks quickly; they were able to meet my deadline. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would like to know more about what they were changing and how they did it, so I could do it myself in the future. That said, I also know teaching coding to someone who doesn't know code can be a very laborious problem. Kamdar still explained a lot of what they’re doing and taught me how to fix issues.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a thorough description of exactly what you want to be done and completed. I wasn't detailed enough in my descriptions because I didn't know how to do it and what to expect. As such, we had a couple of unnecessary back and forth about certain functionalities. If I had completed a process diagram, the engagement would have been a lot easier.
