I'm the founder and CEO of Ytell Media Group, a digital development company focused on building web and big data apps for the e-commerce, media, medical and financial industries.

For what projects/services did your company hire Spineor Webservices Private Limited?
We needed developers who were skilled in popular technologies such as Scala, React, and Cassandra and who would still help us stay on budget.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to increase functionality of the e-commerce site, which would in turn increase conversions and average order value (AOV) while staying in budget. We also had to make sure we could onboard a team that had experience in the most advanced technologies and architecture.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
We'd tried to find vendors through various freelance websites, but nothing worked out. A colleague recommended Spineor Webservices, so we had them and two other companies build a proof of concept (POC) module. At the end, Spineor was the clear winner, so we hired them.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Spineor developed a customized e-commerce cart using React, Scala, and Cassandra. They used a microservices architecture, which made it easy to integrate other apps and third-party components. We followed scrum methodology, using sprints to stay on track and clear our technical debt.
What was the team composition?
We had five team leads with five dev members in each team, two project managers, and seven QA specialists.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
We saved 38% on cost because we hired them. We were also able to deploy and deliver the product two months ahead of schedule.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
We communicated via Skype, but we also visited their offices in India.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They had great communication, especially for an offshore team. They always had the expertise necessary to accomplish tasks, and they stayed within budget.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Infrastructure was the biggest concern, but they fixed the problem. At first, they had just one internet connection, which broke down communication and made it hard to upload code and conduct tests.
