BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

As the Vice President of Marketing at Harborstone Credit Union. I am charged with telling our story, and the story of our Membership. We exist to create prosperity for our Members and help the communities in which they live - thrive. This story lives in the interactions between Members and our staff who engage with Members.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Spin Creative?

One of the biggest challenges we face, is to bring out our story to consumers and businesses, who are not yet Members - in under one minute. We have a great story to tell in the positive way we impact people's lives every day.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals for this project are to tell our story in four short examples around the topics of Everyday Banking; Everyday Business Banking; Buying a Home; and Purchasing a Car... these are common experiences our Members and Business Members face everyday. Our story is more than just 'what we do'; is resonates on 'how we do it', and how our Members feel.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We considered a few vendors; but landed on Spin Creative as a recommendation from a talented local marketing firm who developed our brand platform. We felt they were in the right position to match us with a production company who could properly tell our story.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

Once we contracted Spin Creative to do the work - they took over and managed all the details necessary to create quality work in our agreed timelines, and within budget. All this was done, keeping us in engaged in the process from beginning to end.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Spin Creative started by listening to what we were trying to accomplish and more importantly our story. From that input, they created a clarifying strategy document to align out thinking on approach; and then executed on that approach with scripts; imagery; locations; talent and other details. We were communicated and engaged at every step of the process for feedback, if we had any. They were courteous with our response and pivoted when requested. It felt like a true collaboration, leveraging their expertise in telling a story through video.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The spots have had great feedback from Harborstone Credit Union Members, staff, and management. It's too early to quantify actual awareness and acquisition results; however, that's really the result of the media buy.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Spin Creative did an awesome job managing the workflow during the strategy, creative, and production process. At no time, did I feel like I needed to follow up with them on where they were at; as they were proactive and communicative at every step.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Of course the outcome was paramount, which Spin Creative achieved. However, most impressive what how it 'felt' to work with Matt and the Spin Creative team. They made us feel like collaborators and that our input had value to their creative process. We felt like the project was always managed, as it was. And finally, we felt like they simply cared - not just about the business, but about us and our story. We felt this from everyone on their team.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I have no advice for improvement. It was the best video engagement I've had thus far.

Spin Creative seamlessly managed every aspect of filming, production, and editing. Their efforts manifested in a flawless final cut. They worked rapidly at a high level to adhere to tight timelines and demanding expectations. The video impressed both the VP and the partners it highlighted.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm a senior product manager at a technology company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Spin Creative?

We've worked together several times in the past. For this particular project, my company had an upcoming event in Spain for internal partners. A week before we were supposed to leave, the VP wanted to create a video montage of interviews with the different partners we were to discuss to overview their challenges and problems before his keynote session.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Since the VP came up with the project idea so last minute, we had very tight timeframes. Once we got the purchase order, we booked Spin Creative’s airline tickets to Spain the day beforehand.  We sat down together for a kickoff meeting to brief the team on what we wanted to accomplish with the videos.

Since we had limited time and our internal communications team had many other last-minute tasks to manage, they had to function relatively autonomously throughout the project. Spin Creative shot B-rolls all over Madrid. They scheduled each interview with the people we noted were essential to include in the primary footage. Having identified the areas we wanted to touch upon, they understood what to pull out from the storytelling point of view.

They filmed all of the footage, put it together in the cuts. As far as video production goes, they came back to us with close to a final cut. We didn't ask for many changes. They only needed to make a couple of minor tweaks here and there.

What is the team composition?

We worked with two teammates who both traveled with us to Spain. The event was very invite-only, so we limited the team to a producer and a cameraman to have the smallest footprint possible.

How did you come to work with Spin Creative?

The first time we met, I found them through a referral from another vendor who had been coordinating events for our company. For our original project together, we hired them as a videographer for a bus tour.

They traveled with us for a week, conducted shoots every day, and made all the edits while the bus drove to the next location. At night, they uploaded and posted the content. Since this took place 10-12 years ago, cellular connectivity was not at the same level which made their work quite challenging.

How much have you invested with them?

This project cost about $10,000–$15,000 for the production work, plus travel and expenses.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our project lasted for about a week in February 2015.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The VP we had at the time had very specific tastes and requirements. Since this project was so last minute and for such a senior person's keynote, it was critically important that Spin Creative could deliver. When we went in and showed him the final cut of the video, he absolutely loved it. He has extremely high standards, so that the fact that he was raving about it was almost shocking. I've never seen him be so impressed. His strongly positive response was my biggest measure of success.

I was so thankful that Spin Creative could help me pull off such an extremely last-minute request. Beyond that, this event included business partners in attendance. The keynote was intended to set up several side meetings he had planned. Having the partners onscreen telling their story helped him impress them when he met with them afterward. They were really impressed with how they looked as well, which is another intangible success.

How did Spin Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

Since this project only lasted a week, there wasn't a huge amount of correspondence. Spin Creative capably took our project and ran with it. Their support helped me focus on all the other items that I'd already had on my plate going in. I was extremely thankful for their help. Looking back, we had more frequent contact while setting up for the bus tour project, which had a longer lead.

Spin Creative was very much involved in helping us figure out what we were trying to do. For both projects, one of the things I most enjoyed about working with them was how hard they worked to understand our business goal. Their first questions related to our desired outcomes before they started asking about details like where to shoot and what type of equipment to use.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate that they concerned themselves with what I was trying to accomplish before they brought up anything else. They capably took our strategic direction and turned it into a flawless tactical execution every time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Everyone has areas for improvement. Based on my two experiences, though, nothing jumps out to me that I wish Spin Creative had done differently.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I advise future clients to be clear and upfront. Articulate your strategic goals and objectives. Based on my experience, I suggest letting them be creative. Don't try to micromanage them.

Creativity and thoughtfulness are some of Spin Creative’s greatest assets. Coming in with a very specific set of detailed instructions will detract from that. Instead, see what they come back with. Listen to their ideas, and go forward from there.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the chief development officer of Treehouse. We give children and youth in foster care a childhood and a future. We envision – and strive to create – a world where every child that has experienced foster care has the opportunities and support they need to pursue their dreams and launch successfully into adulthood. In my role, I secure funding, support community engagement, and share our story.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Spin Creative?

We wanted to produce a video for our new brand launch that communicated our vision of the future.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted a video that broke the non-profit mold: interview-based and program-focused. The video also had to represent our message of hope and possibility for youth in foster care.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Spin proposed an intricate idea that would be logistically difficult given our limited timeline and budget. However, it was clear from the beginning it would result in the perfect visual for our brand launch. Our marketing team was unanimous in their support for Spin Creative.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

The video contains 40 shots in 90 seconds, all narrated by a local celebrity voiceover and featuring volunteers, our friends and family, and even my own home. It tracks a child from birth to high school graduation, highlighting all our program elements, and introduces our five-year goal of achieving graduation rate equity for youth in our county’s foster system. When we were approached with a pro-bono television opportunity, Spin Creative helped us create 30- and 60-second versions of the spot.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

We went through a couple of rounds of editing and talked through each element as a team. Our smooth and direct conversations produced a great outcome. It was a true partnership.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The community loved our video, and it was on local TV for over a year, remaining relevant for far longer than we expected. Spin Creative’s video exceeded our expectations in every way and opened up new opportunities for our organization.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was seamless.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their focus on our project and commitment to achieving our shared goal were outstanding.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, not that I saw. We’d love to work with Spin Creative again.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the former senior marketing manager at AudienceScience, which provides automated advertising technologies.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Spin Creative?

We offer a very complex line of technology products. We wanted to simplify our offerings to potential customers. We engaged Spin Creative to create a video that captures our elevator pitch as well as longer, more in-depth videos about our products.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Spin Creative created a five-minute main video that captures how our company helps marketers. They also made videos for each of our product lines. The team first worked with us to develop the script for each interview with different executives in a variety of specialties. We then collaborated with them on a storyboard. Spin Creative offered us a wide range of content. They led the video shoot of each interview and also filmed B-roll footage that showed our company’s culture, office, and team members in an engaging way. They then brought it all together skillfully during the editing process, incorporating our feedback as well as offering helpful suggestions.

What is the team composition?

We worked with Matthew (Executive Creative Director & Owner, Spin Creative) and an account manager, who was our day to day contact.

How did you come to work with Spin Creative?

We found them online along with several other companies that create corporate videos. We liked the look and feel of Spin Creative’s portfolio; their videos were professional, could clearly articulate a complex product, engaging, and to the point. We found their overviews of company missions informative and their product line videos polished and professional. Spin Creative also offered the best value for quality compared to other vendors, so we chose them to complete this project.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $25,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from December 2012 until April 2013.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We embedded the videos on our website using YouTube to track engagement. We were satisfied with our number of views; they tended towards fewer viewers of higher quality, as we have a small and specific total addressable market (TAM).

How did Spin Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

Spin Creative made the project run smoothly from start to finish. The team was highly communicative and accessible throughout. They provided schedules, project plans, and checklists of deadlines and deliverables for both sides. Compared to past vendors, Spin Creative was a breath of fresh air to work with.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They delivered exceptional products throughout the process and met our requirements exactly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, Spin Creative went above and beyond at every stage. On the day we were filming B-roll footage, they brought in a steamer and extra clothing in case people in the background lacked appropriate attire. They made sure everything was in order and planned for challenges we hadn’t even considered.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be forthcoming about your needs and goals. Provide examples of what you’re looking for and be as organized as possible throughout the process.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a disability treatment center that works with children who have autism, ADD, and ADHD. After a child is diagnosed, our organization provides 10–40 hours per week of intensive one-on-one behavioral treatment.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Spin Creative?

At the time, we wanted to create a series of training videos for families so that, when we weren’t present with the children, parents could watch the videos and understand how to apply treatment.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Spin Creative worked closely with us to deliver over 110 videos ranging from about 3–7 minutes each. The videos featured a real environment with trained experts and children. We provided the program scripts along with the people, and they helped develop and refine the content. During production, they flew down a crew from Seattle, Washington to our location in California, created the sets, and handled all filming before delivering the final products.

What is the team composition?

We worked with about 7–8 staff, including Matthew (Principal, Spin Creative) who served as the executive creative director.

How did you come to work with Spin Creative?

I found their satellite office while searching for local companies on Google. When I spoke with one of their staff members, he understood what we were trying to do because he had a child with a disability himself. It was a real connection, and I felt comfortable moving forward with the project.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $1.2 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

Their work lasted from April–December 2014. They flew down about four times, and each shoot lasted three days.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The videos haven’t gone live yet because our company is changing directions. To launch our franchise, we’ve digitized parts of the treatment process so that a staff member can record data via tablets rather than writing paper notes. This involved developing a software to house the data and training materials.

Currently, we’ve uploaded the videos to the software and use them for in-house training. We’ve also shown them to investors and our board of directors. Everyone feels the videos are outstanding, and I’d give them full marks for quality alone.

How did Spin Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They did a phenomenal job. Not only were they professional, but they also cared about our mission and researched our business to identify loopholes and help us accelerate the process. Above all, they understood us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What makes them unique is their one-on-one communication, which allowed them to become like family. Even Matthew would check in to see how things were going. Of course, his staff would report to him, but he wanted to call to get feedback from us personally. That approach to QA made the experience amazing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they did everything to standard and met our needs. I’m thankful we worked with them and hope to contract them again as we grow. If I had to go back and redo the process, I wouldn’t change a thing.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of Ei Resources. I focus on using emotional intelligence and leadership with those in leadership roles, such as supervisors in the workplace.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Spin Creative?

I was looking for a company to create a video that conveyed my message and my mission.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They guided the entire process from beginning to end. I had some ideas, but they really helped me map out a plan, create a storyboard, and incorporate group interviews. They also set up a stage and rented out a loft space that looked like a business, which was exactly what I needed for the video. Then, they created a two-minute YouTube commercial, which I now have on my website.

What is the team composition?

I mostly worked with Matthew (Principal and Executive Creative Director,  Spin Creative) and their videographer.

How did you come to work with Spin Creative?

I was looking online for a local video production company. Their quote was the most reasonable and I liked their customer service on the phone, so I chose them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in October 2016 and the product was completed in February 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They're very experienced with online video commercials and provided valuable feedback on what they thought would and wouldn't work. Also, they were very responsive to my feedback.

How did Spin Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They were professional and stayed on task. Besides, they were friendly and approachable, so I enjoyed working with them. It took us four months to complete the video, but it was worth it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They understood all of my needs, so I got everything I had expected. Also, they met my timeline.

Are there any areas they could improve?

My experience with them was excellent. If I had to choose one thing, I'd say that the directions to their office could be clearer. My iPhone didn't pick up the location, so I had to park two blocks away and carry all the clothes to their office.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Spin Creative developed a short live action film for us. They worked from our ideas to develop all of the storyboards and creative, then managed the full production process. The video plays on a loop on the monitors in our baggage claim area and our CNN monitors.

What is the team composition?

We worked directly with a project manager. They had a whole team working in the background and brought in other colleagues for specific tasks like editing.

How did you come to work with Spin Creative?

Someone else brought them in before I took over. It was a competitive process but I’m not sure what the specific decisions were that led us to choose Spin Creative over others.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $35,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together between March and September 2012.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We really liked the video they produced. To this day, it’s still playing continuously in the airport because we like it so much.

How did Spin Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

Excellent. Everything progressed according to the schedule we had. There weren’t any significant delays that weren't caused weather and other logistics, they didn’t have any control over.

What did you find most impressive about them?

To me what stood out was that they listened to our ideas and made the effort to turn our vision into a reality. What I had seen before was more simplistic animated videos with the claim that complex ideas couldn’t be expressed in anything but a cartoon. Spin Creative managed to create our vision in a live action film.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really. Given the time and the budget, they delivered what we wanted.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don't limit yourself when you go in. Give them all of your ideas, no matter how wacky you might think they are. They have the creativity that they can harness to develop your ideas for you.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the principal at Blackwing Creative. We’re a B2B marketing agency that mainly works with high technology clients. Our services range from basic strategy to asset creation across both digital and traditional media channels. We’re based in Seattle, and we’ve been in business for about 20 years.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Spin Creative?

We first reached out to Spin Creative years ago for production assistance. Since then, we’ve collaborated on a variety of different projects, ranging in size, cost, and type of content. They’re our consistent production partner.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We look to Spin Creative anytime we need to create a video. The team provides full-scale production services. Over the years, they’ve worked on animated, interview-style, and more creative projects. Usually, we provide a concept and the storyboard, and Spin Creative brings it to life. They do their best to accurately capture our vision.

For example, in creating an interview-based video, we needed content from across the country. Spin Creative joined us on a road trip to gather the clips. It was a large project with a lot of moving parts. In the end, the team delivered a well-edited and engaging video.

What is the team composition?

They can scale their team to accommodate any of our requests. I’m always in contact with Matthew (Executive Creative Director, Spin Creative), but our crew can be anywhere from 2–17 people depending on the workload.

How did you come to work with Spin Creative?

When we first met, Matt worked for a different agency. I think they sent us a reel of their work, but I’m not positive—it was a long time ago. We entered into a partnership, and after some time, Matt started Spin Creative. We’ve engaged them for video production projects ever since.

How much have you invested with them?

I estimate we’ve spent $250,000–$300,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2008, and we completed our most recent project in May 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Spin Creative always understands our vision and produces accordingly. They don’t cut corners in their work, so we can count on them to get it right every time.

One project stands out as a home run. Our client wanted to introduce a new project, so we put together a unique concept and an engaging storyboard. Spin Creative brilliantly executed the plan. Their production strategy added a lot of value to the final delivery. The client still uses the video today.

How did Spin Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re extremely organized in their workflow; every teammate is always on the same page. Their attention to detail benefits every project. I can’t name a single instance that something went wrong on a shoot or during a project, which speaks to the consistency of their work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re an expert team with a good company culture. We enjoy working with them. I have full confidence in Matt and his team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I’m happy with their work. In our industry, it’s challenging to stay on top of the new technologies and solutions. Things are constantly evolving, and we need to stay fresh and competitive. Because the market is always advancing, clients now expect more for a lower cost. Spin Creative has been instrumental in balancing our clients’ expectation. They go above and beyond to produce top-notch work within our budget restrictions.

The ads increased membership levels and boosted overall marketing performance. Spin Creative demonstrated leadership during the collaborative partnership. The team maximized results on a limited budget by creating appealing and surprisingly high-quality content. Their reliability fostered trust.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CMO of Seattle Credit Union. We were Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union during the engagement with Spin Creative.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Spin Creative?

We hired Spin Creative to produce four television commercials sequentially. We had a tight budget—which prevented us from producing the ads simultaneously—and only a rough concept for the ad spots. However, we had several expectations for the outcome. We also wanted multipurpose content for YouTube.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Spin Creative guided the process for each spot and managed most aspects of the shoots. In a collaborative approach, they supplemented the in-house resources we lacked for television ads. For example, Spin Creative storyboarded each of the four ads and assisted with casting; we already knew a few people we wanted.

How did you come to work with Spin Creative?

One of my colleagues hired the team. He did networking and conducted research for a studio. During the first meeting, our team appreciated Spin Creative’s energy and collaborative approach. The team was flexible and patient as we communicated our vision.

How much have you invested with them?

Each spot cost $35,000. We spent about $140,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in 2015 and the engagement ended in 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since we had never used television before, all of our outside marketing did better as a result of the ad spots. We gained new members because the ads were relatable and local. Spin Creative kept the production schedule tight. They achieved high-quality shots while accommodating our budget.

How did Spin Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They were always on time and aware of the project's moving parts. We never had to worry because they were extremely reliable.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team was surprisingly easy to work with. Since we hadn’t done much television production, we iterated ideas and clarified our vision throughout the partnership. Spin Creative was collaborative and helped us realize our end goal.

Are there any areas they could improve?

For one spot, we filmed with a local high school basketball team, but realized later that one athlete was ineligible to appear in an advertisement. Although Spin Creative rectified their error and split the reproduction cost with us, I wish they had caught the issue sooner. Otherwise, we had a good experience and I would use them again.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Spin Creative is a flexible partner. Clients can present general ideas and their team will elaborate on them. They can do as much or as little as the client wants.

Spin Creative was a great partner on all videos. They elevated the quality of on-air presence without exceeding the approved budget, and site traffic, hits, and click-through rates increased. The team helped screen customer testimonials, and they remained professional and supportive throughout.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a senior marketing director at Wave Broadband. We’re a Washington-based telecommunications and internet service provider, offering voice, data, and video services to homes and companies. Our main coverage extends along the West Coast, from the Canadian border down to the San Francisco Bay area. However, we’ve also merged with two other companies that provide similar services to extend our coverage across the US.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Spin Creative?

After many years producing so-so television spots with other vendors, we wanted to take the content quality and production value up a few levels. We produced an average of 14 to 18 spots a year across a variety of topics. The challenge for us was finding a vendor that could provide both quality and value, but also ideas for great stories as well. We also worked with Spin Creative to develop and execute a programmatic digital campaign for the first time. This involved creating additional videos and display ads and tracking our results to measure success.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Spin Creative was definitely up for the challenge. They pitched us campaign ideas and storylines addressing our creative needs, and collaborated with us to ensure all the necessary messaging details were accounted for. They partnered with some very talented directors and crew members to capture stellar footage and kept every location shoot running smoothly and on-schedule. They were attentive, helpful, and accommodating to any needs or changes that we had, and often delivered near-perfect assets on their first pass.

We then decided to run a programmatic digital campaign because it would allow us to better hone in on our target audience by placing ads on external vendor sites. For example, if we know that our target users frequent a certain online news publication, we could buy a placement on that page and feed them a 15-second display ad. Users could then watch our ad and click through to a landing page at the end.

Spin Creative helped us develop and execute the campaign, using some customer testimonial spots for television, which we would then repurpose for the programmatic campaign. We were able to call in customers who were interested in participating, but we lacked the bandwidth to prescreen the interviewees. Spin Creative’s team went through the candidates to find 8–10 participants who could speak articulately about our services, which was a huge help.

After producing the television spots, they cut down the videos to 15-second display ads and also developed complementary animated spots. While we designed the landing pages during the first campaign year, we felt that they could do a better job than our internal resources, so we had them design the pages the following year.

What is the team composition?

We usually worked with about five teammates. For the television spot, they assigned a director, a producer, and a writer who worked in the background. I also collaborated directly with Matthew (Owner, Spin Creative), who leads the team, as well as a project manager.

How did you come to work with Spin Creative?

Wave Broadband had already worked with Spin Creative for over a year before I joined the company. Collectively, we thought their work was really good, so we continued the relationship.

How much have you invested with them?

For the television spots, we spent $300,000, and the programmatic campaign cost about $70,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Wave Broadband had already worked with Spin Creative for over a year before I joined the company. Collectively, we thought their work was really good, so we continued the relationship.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We tracked the programmatic campaign using Google Analytics, measuring website hits, traffic, and clickthrough rates. Every 2 weeks, they would provide a report on how long users would stay on each page, if they would watch the videos all the way through, and if they continued through to our landing pages. We saw substantial increases across the board each time we ran a campaign, and we were happy with the results. As for the television campaigns, since they were primarily brand and product awareness spots, we did not utilize and unique tracking numbers or tactics; however, internally, they were highly-praised and positively received by everyone from senior leadership on down. This was not always the case in years prior with other vendors.

How did Spin Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They were easy to work with and provided a buttoned-up experience. The project manager scheduled all of the calls, and we also worked closely with Matthew.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciated how much they brought to the table. They were experts in video production, developing top-notch television spots; they had the whole process down. Beyond sticking to the schedule and budgets, they generally provided strong creative work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The second year we used them for animated spots, the animation was slightly different than the previous ads. In that instance, the creative could have been a bit better, but overall they produced quality videos.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

When solving a particular business challenge with television production or programmatic digital ads, have a good sense of what you’re trying to do. Clarity on your end allows Spin Creative to better handle the creative and production components.
