I’m the head of digital at Sendle, a logistics company that services the small business sector.

What challenge were you trying to address with Sparro?

We hired Sendle to help us strategize our digital channels.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We began the project focusing on PPC, but the project evolved from there. As our relationship grew, we engaged them on social media and SEO.

What is the team composition?

 Most of the time, we had three people working on our project. Although we also received advice from other members of their team when we needed more specialized service.

How did you come to work with Sparro?

Sparro was engaged with this team before I started.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent several hundred thousand dollars.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2017 and it’s still ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We track the success of the channel, which is directly tied to their work. Their team was really knowledgeable on the topics we hired them for, and they met our expected standard. We’ve had a good run, and I plan to continue our engagement in the future.

How did Sparro perform from a project management standpoint?

The cadence of meetings and catch-up has met a good standard. We enjoy working with the team. They were good at meeting deadlines. We had a few last-minute objectives, and they always did what was necessary to get things done.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team genuinely cares about the business. The level of care they put into the project is evident.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’re really happy with the quality of their work and don’t really see a need for improvement. Whenever we’ve provided feedback, they’ve made adjustments pretty quickly.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Get to know the team. I think it’s really important to find partners who care about your business. It shows in Sparro’s work that they are dedicated to the project. They’re willing to go the extra mile.

For what projects/services did your company hire Sparro?

We hired Morris and the team from Sparro predominately web development purposes but learnt early on in the process that they offer far more than just bringing our web design to life.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed not only a slick website in Wordpress but we needed an experts hand in understanding SEO and how best to structure our content. We had to hit key milestones and aggressive timings which Sparro handled brilliantly.

How did you select this vendor?

We found Sparro through another project they did which we liked the look of. We reached out to Morris and Cam who were a pleasure to deal with in the early project discussions and we gained there trust quickly and never looked back.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

They took our website designs and created a great Wordpress website. We were impressed with their attention to detail with our designs. Their clear communication meant we always knew where the project was at and we could see updates on the staging server they created.

What was the team composition?

Morris from the get go was our project manager and was fantastic to deal with. In the very rear case that he wasn't available, Cam would step in be across the project. They always had the resources on hand to complete the project on time.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Once the website was live, our client and the associated parties were all thrilled with the end result. The clean and well structured CMS meant our client had more time to concentrate on other areas of the business rather than labouring over the website.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Time management is always key for most projects and this was no different. We had a fairly aggressive time line that we had to stick too and Sparro met every one of them. Because Morris was very responsive and organised it meant we we were all aware of our roles in order to deliver the project on time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We loved that Sparro are extremely knowledgeable and easy to deal with. There was no 'my way or the highway' ideas or big attitudes. It was very collaborative, and it felt like they really cared, too.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We had a really positive experience with Sparro. They quoted us a price and stuck to it. They were flexible and accomodating.

We looked at multiple vendors, Sparro had the most experience, flexibility and were results driven. The selection process was via a number of meetings.

We identified products we wanted assistance with, Sparro worked on opportunity identification, setting up reporting and then work to boost numbers.

What was the team composition?

Cam was the primary contact, we had technical support on the links and also from a content standpoint one other. All were accessible, readily available on any query.

We've seen positive impacts in organic search

Email, calls and regular meetings. They were always accessible and quick to answer queries.

As always with development, there's lot of things we'd all love to do but resource, tech setup or cost can get in the way.
