Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-owner of a home-based retail gun store.
What challenge were you trying to address with Southern View Media?
We were working with another company to manage our social media, but we weren’t pleased with their work. So, we were looking for a new vendor.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They provided social media management, web design, and site maintenance services. They post daily on our social media accounts. Their team redesigned our website and provide regular updates as our store inventory changes. They’ve also helped with cybersecurity.
What is the team composition?
I have one main point of contact, Leigh (VP of Digital Strategy). We’ve also worked with Brad and Michelle who are the owners. Throughout the engagement, we’ve worked with several other team members.
We’ve had two account managers, both of whom have been great. Our previous account manager left the company a few years ago, and Leigh took over.
How did you come to work with Southern View Media?
Our account manager from a previous vendor left to work with Southern View Media. We were still under contract with that vendor, but once the contract was up, we switched over.
How much have you invested with them?
We spend around $400 per month.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Southern View in May 2005, and the relationship is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
A few years ago, when I was out of the office, someone hijacked our site, but they shut it down and had a new site up and running quickly. They did all this without my help, and let me enjoy my vacation which I appreciated.
They’re affordable and provide high-quality service. They’ve helped us get in front of more customers using our site and social media.
How did Southern View Media perform from a project management standpoint?
Everyone that I’ve come in contact with knows what they’re doing. They’re responsive to any problems, questions, or concerns we might have. I’m not very technology savvy, but I can trust their work and advice. We probably talk at least once a week.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their personal touch is impressive. I know I can call Leigh at any point and she’ll take care of whatever I need.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I’m very happy with what they did for us.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You have to be upfront and open with them. The more you can tell them about your business and goals, the more they can tailor their work to fit your needs.
