Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CIO of Volia, a telecommunications and entertainment company. We provide internet service, different technologies, and continued service using OTT, digital video, and broadcasts.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with SourceX?

We needed extra resources and expertise to redevelop our billing and CRM systems, which previous vendors first built.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SourceX redeveloped our billing system and CRM using Java, Java Enterprise, JavaScript, React.js, and Oracle. They also did the UX/UI design.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 6–10 people including a project manager. The team size varied throughout the engagement.

How did you come to work with SourceX?

They were part of a tender and we chose them because they had the most optimal price in the market.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2017 and the partnership ended in January 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The team was timely and flexible, readily doing work not in the original scope. The systems have earned positive customer feedback and made a significant impact on our business.

How did SourceX perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project manager collaborated with the project manager from our side.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their telecommunications expertise was evident throughout the partnership. That knowledge was a deciding factor in our hiring process.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we were satisfied with the work and there were no issues.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Other telecommunication companies should use them for software development projects, specifically BSS stack or OSS stack.
