Staffing & Development Support for Technology Solutions Firm
“They listen to our feedback, take it to heart, and make changes where necessary.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a technology solutions company. We provide services around technology development.
What challenge were you trying to address with Sonerim?
We brought Sonerim to augment our development team.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Sonerim provides additional resources to help our in-house developers. They also help us vet candidates when we need additional staff.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with 20–30 from their team across many projects and years.
How did you come to work with Sonerim?
We knew Sonerim’s CEO because he was the account lead for another vendor that we used before. He was likely let go by that vendor, and he decided to set up Sonerim. Meanwhile, our company wanted to work with him because he had been our direct account manager.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $200,000–$300,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in April 2017, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Sonerim developers are of quality; that’s the main reason why we continue to use them. We’ve been in the engagement for so long that the process has become so smooth and familiar.
Moreover, they trust our feedback on their resources; we have people in our team who evaluate their resources’ technical competence. This allows us to shape their talents better as they continue to engage with us. Overall, we’ve been a part of each other’s growth processes.
How did Sonerim perform from a project management standpoint?
Sonerim’s project management is great. They’re good at keeping timelines and managing the scope of work. The team also goes above and beyond when needed; when the deadlines are crushing them, they step up. We appreciate that, and it’s another reason we continue working with them.
In terms of project management tools, we predominantly use Jira. We also have a Slack channel to communicate with them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The Sonerim team listens. Nobody’s perfect; they may not be able to provide the best resources all the time, but they listen to our feedback, take it to heart, and make changes where necessary. That’s crucial when dealing with vendors; it helps them get better, and it helps us improve, too.
Are there any areas they could improve?
My only recommendation for Sonerim is to spend more time and investment on technical evaluations for new resources. They’re a bit lacking in that department. Instead of plain interviews, their evaluation process should be more formalized. At present, they mainly do technical reviews, but it can be better if they add technical evaluations, written coding tests, and similar things as they bring in more resources.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be upfront about what you need. Sonerim is a straight shooter, so they’ll accommodate your needs. Our engagement has been pretty smooth, and the team has been friendly. As a result, I don’t think anybody will have any problems with them.
