I originally met the team through some online postings and have worked with them for front end application development in the past. My previous experience with the firm was top notch and they were the first choice to come to mind.

This portion of the project was strictly for new site design and planning. We first started with some higher level discussions with account managers from the firm, outlining what we wanted to improve upon with our new site.
This includes general themes, specific content or sections that would help convey the proper information as well as help enhance the credibility as the organization is still young. Basically the outcome of this was a new site map with how it works, demos and lots of information about the product, new blog where we can post, faq, product features etc.
From there once we know what we wanted to make, we transitioned from preliminary planning and started working with the actual designers. This included some discussions around what we planned with the project managers and getting designers up to speed. The designs were all professionally done using figma and were absolutely stunning. I personally was very excited to see what the new brand was going to be.
Progress was shared throughout the process, where we could view shared figma pages and team notified us with each new page for review. As the designers kept creating new pages my team would get together and implement reviews, sharing any relevant feedback with the designers.
I will say most feedback was rather minor as everything looked amazing to begin with, other than the few personal things or just changing/updating of information as we were actually able to view and feel why things looked like. This feedback was promptly implemented and shared back with our team.
This process continued for about 12 or so pages/sections until we had the complete new site designed and ready for approval and development. This put the ball back in my court where we had to begin creating the actual copy for the site and development of the site could actually begin.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Overall I've worked with about 4 team members directly on this project, including project/account manager, 2 designers, and actually some discussions with the founder as well. They were all a pleasure to work with, incredibly kind, and offering help and suggestions when asked for and taking our input when provided. Through several years of work myself and the founder have grown to become good friends. Great people and always a pleasure to work with.

The designs were stunning, so quality of work is definitely important to them.
The process was conducted smoothly and efficiently, there is certainly some experience involved and they helped guide every step of the way.

Before Phase 1 was complete, the client already agreed to Phase 2. Mostly in part to the site speed improvements jumping significantly. It was nice that their team was aligned with my SEO team's POV - as the client was convinced she needed to adjust the site theme when we were convinced there were other options. Software Pros proved our theory by nearly doubling the site's mobile speed and increasing desktop speed by 25% or so - to a 99 out of 100 score.

Very timely and engaged. They coordinated everything through the Basecamp app - but were happy to jump on a video call when the app wasn't enough. Response time was always very quick.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of RINI Kids, an e-commerce business that sells apparel and accessories for babies and kids.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Software Pro?
We needed someone to help us build our e-commerce platform from scratch.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We started our engagement by discussing the specifications of a couple of mood boards I wanted to create and identifying strategies to stand out from my competitors.
They then got back to us with a schedule and a list of responsibilities they were going to undertake in this project and once that was approved, they started the development process through Shopify.
Some of our core features include a lookbook theme featuring our products, and a button customers can click to see the specs of each item.
Moreover, they take part in maintaining and editing the coding of the platform.
What is the team composition?
I mainly communicate with the project manager and creative director.
How did you come to work with Software Pro?
We came across Software Pro through Google research.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested close to $2,500.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing partnership started in May 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The team has been instrumental in providing us with great ideas to improve the specifications of our platform. They deliver all their tasks professionally and efficiently, so it has been a seamless process and partnership.
How did Software Pro perform from a project management standpoint?
We use Basecamp to manage the entire project and so far, they’ve been very responsive to our queries and concerns.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’re impressed with their efficiency and adherence to our timelines and schedules.

I can’t think of anything they need to improve on at the moment.

I'm the owner and technical lead of a social hedge fund platform used by trading firms and online communities.

For what projects/services did your company hire Software Pro, and what were your goals?
We hired Software Pro for the development of our client facing angular web application. The goal of this project was front-end development of multiple dashboards used by various roles, along with registration flows and home page.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We selected this vendor based on their reviews via on online resource. Displayed quick understanding of requirements during initial estimation process. Were able to work with us regarding pricing and remained flexible enough to work through specific details as we progressed, proving beneficial given our beta environment.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Software Pro did core development of custom front-end Angular/Typescript web application. Stock Pilot led design of front-end screens and communicate these items to Software Pro as development progressed. Stock Pilot developed back end services to support web application. Both parties participated in integration and testing throughout the process.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There was a project manager, architect, lead developer and I believe some other developers available to us through the several months of development. Most communication occurred with the lead developer, with snippets throughout with project manager and architect. Team was always available and quick to respond to any inquiries we had across all the above noted roles.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The project development good and completed in a timely manner. The deliverables completed to the specified requirements and any minor changes requested after initially review were always quickly accepted and completed.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The general project management lifecycle consisted of the following:
Initial meetings regarding requirement discussions, cost and time estimations
Once work agreed upon, Software Pro established base filestore environment, and open Skype communication channels with all of allotted team members.
On weekly-ish basis had open communications with development lead, and over full time of development had several milestone meetings with project management and architect. Note: regarding timeliness, responded promptly to any inquiries and were easily available for video meetings when applicable.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They provided good communication and project management process to support our needs. Team was flexible as requirements grew throughout development process.
