BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the current HR Manager of pizzabridge and i am responsible for the overseeing department functions and managing employees.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Softemy, and what were your goals?

We are a franchise of a corporation that's already established with our own "franchise system". What I was trying to do is finish the stuff domino's doesn't provide in that system. They provide the brute of it for instance, the point of sales, mobile app, customer service, menu creation/pricing, distribution, marketing, accounts, sales, reports related to sales data, etc.

What I am trying to do is do the part that domino's doesn't handle for instance, A scheduling system where employees can view, request changes, request days off, log attendance statuses, not log employee clock in and clock outs, or use for payroll purposes A website for employees to log in and access their legal documents, request help, view current policies and procedures. A messaging system so I do not have to give out my personal phone number or email to communicate with staff with in franchise.

A performance review area where an employee is graded on attendance, work performance, etc A place where employees can view employee write ups, praise, employment reviews etc

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We discovered softemy thanks to the recommendations of some of my friends who had previously worked with the company. We chose this vendor after interviewing them based on their previous projects, design expertise, and cost estimate.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We conducted a kick-off meeting to talk about our objectives and goals. The team then created draft and schematic design for our system. Their team planned and developed an informative Laravel site after a few iterations. They modified the material to reflect our company's offerings and built a completely automated site that included a comprehensive list of our needs.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Our main point of contact throughout the process was a project manager. Behind the scenes, there were 17 full stack developers and a designer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After releasing our system, we were surprised by the automation and design of our system, as our main goal was to automate the staff scheduling system for our employees. Our staff loved our completely automated system, which allows them to effortlessly log in and out using their smartphones and computers, as well as do whatever they want with it.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We met with their project manager on a daily basis, and he spoke with the rest of the squad. They informed us ahead of time if there would be any delays so that we could plan accordingly. To communicate, we used Slack, Jira, and GitHub, which all worked well with our team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They provided us with a professional system that was completely automated. Because our staff had never dealt with such a technology before, they took the time to train them how to operate it.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When we originally launched, there were no bugs in any part of our system since they thoroughly test everything, no matter how minor or major.
