We engaged SDH developers to build an internal API with further integration into our CRM, which can be used to create fully customized SEO audits and reports. The created API made it possible to integrate advanced SEO reports into our sales processes. After we'd determined the specific SEO audit and reporting features we needed, the SDH's team designed the API's endpoints, data structures, and request/response formats.

We monitor the average response time of your API endpoints. Faster response times leads to a better user experience. We also measure the volume of data processed or analyzed by developed API. This includes the number of websites audited, keywords tracked, or reports generated.

I am the President and Chief Customer Officer at FieldHub, an Enterprise ERP SaaS product to support the field service industry.

For what projects/services did your company hire Software Development Hub, and what were your goals?

We were looking to build an integrated solution to help field service companies manage all aspects of their business. The solution needed to create a single platform to manage sales, inventory, field service, and accounting. It needed to do so via a web application, as well as mobile apps.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had worked with members of Software Development Hub for a different project when they were with a different company, and had a very positive experience. When those team members transitioned to start Software Development Hub, we sought them out to work on this larger initiative.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

This is a multi-year partnership to architect, build and maintain a large business operations software. The SDH team provides all development resources, as well as project management and business analysis. Software releases occur on average every two weeks. The product is built using Python, Django, PostGres SQL with distributed deployments to Docker containers.

There are 15 members of SDH that support FieldHub. Ten of these are in the software architecture and development arena, and the others support the business in terms of project management, customer configuration and business analysis.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have an aggressive development and deployment schedule, which leads to around 30 deployments a year. Due to the careful development and rigorous testing and validation of the SDH team, for the last 18 months each of those deployments has been bug-free.

SDH relies on a combination of weekly meetings and asynchronous ticket updates to keep the FieldHub staff up to date on development efforts. The SDH project management style is friendly, efficient and prompt. We collaborate using the Asana project management platform, and SDH uses Jira to manage its own efforts.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

SDH has an incredible commitment to delivering quality. They consistently lead us towards what yields in the long-term with flexibility, rather than a short-term easy fixes. They treat FieldHub as their own product and are as committed to its success as we are.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

With such an aggressive development and deployment schedule, documentation often lags behind. This is an area we are all committed to improving in the coming year.

SDH took our rough prototype, and built it out into a proper scalable solution with some complicated business logic around scheduling (calendar integrations, finding and forming groups based on availability, etc), content authoring, and a few third-party integrations.

• We went live with a solution that replaced our prototype on time and under budget
• We've been able to add more functionality on a rolling basis to keep pace with new and evolving requirements

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The project management has, truly, been excellent. We've committed to three big deadlines throughout the project in order to satisfy deliverables we've promised clients; SDH has hit all three. They're comfortable with a very agile approach; we've (re)prioritized pretty radically a few times without any problems.

The Kanban board stays up to date and gives me great visibility into what's getting worked on when by whom. Finally, SDH has been eager and able to comprehend our larger business context, which helps them make the right prioritization decisions and structure things the right way.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They genuinely care. If there's a really bad bug, they'll show up at any hour to figure it out and push a hotfix. If I ask for something they disagree with, they'll go out on a limb and tell me why I'm wrong rather than doing the easy thing and building exactly what I've asked for. etc. They're also originally based in Ukraine; some folks on the team are still there, working reliably through power outages and air raid sirens.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Software Development Hub could have done differently?

I think there's always a 6-month or so period of initial adjustment to build trust and figure out how to work together. A few architectural decisions taken early on in the project weren't perfect, and SDH's initial approach to writing extremely granular and verbose documentation needs to shift to something a bit higher level that's easier to digest and maintain. But there's a high degree of transparency and communication around what's working and what's not, and they've very open to feedback.

I know when we've had to take on tech debt to hit extremely tight deadlines, and when we've been able to pause for a few days to go back and tighten things up again.

I am the co-founder of Radiolance, a professional platform for interaction with radiologists. With Radiolance, diagnostic facilities are provided with professional analysis and descriptions of magnetic resonance imaging, CT scans, X-rays and mammograms. Our mission is to bring state-of-the-art technology into the treatment process. Radiolance improves the healthcare system's quality of services and working conditions, regardless of the geographical distance between the patient and doctor.

Our collaboration started in 2019. The main goal was to create a platform to facilitate the work of radiological diagnostics specialists. Namely, to organise remote access to the network of radiologists from all over the country; speed up the preparation of medical reports through outsourcing; create 24/7 access to highly specialised radiologists for urgent cases; have quick access to a "second opinion" of radiologists.

The company's experience in the healthcare domain and the availability of successfully delivered projects were decisive

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Based on our business requirements, the SDH team developed a comprehensive platform consisting of a web application for diagnostic centres and native mobile applications (iOS and Android) for radiologists. The platform facilitates access to qualified radiologists in a digital database, enabling them to obtain official professional medical reports quickly. Radiologists can earn money by remotely describing magnetic resonance imaging, CT scans, X-rays and mammography results for medical facilities across the country. SDH has developed a virtual radiological back-office that performs quality control and claims processing functions. We have also implemented various modules for sophisticated and secure work: training, digital signature, reporting, and PACS. All these functions are easy to use, thanks to an intuitive interface.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The Radiolance platform was successfully launched in July 2021 as a closed beta with about 100 active users. Today we have a growth, monthly growing revenue for using the service. We are also continuing to develop the product by increasing our marketing activity. Overall, the SDH team has helped us achieve our goals at this stage.

SDH focuses on open communication, when all participants are aware of the progress of work and plans. We also held regular meetings on a weekly basis at the stage of active development. A mix of Agile and Waterfall project management techniques was used for our project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I would say that their ability to manage customer expectations and risks on the project is unique. We were aware of the timing and scope of development at each stage of the project, understanding what to expect from a particular feature.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Among the areas of work that can be improved, testing should be highlighted. What we have encountered is the need for more thorough testing of the product to identify minor bugs and shortcomings.
