I’m the founder of Earth2Mars. We’re focused on change management and coaching.

What challenge were you trying to address with Softserve Digital Development?

We were looking for someone to help us with our branding, including logo and web development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Softserve helped us establish our brand and corporate identity, and they created a website with an integrated learning system.

For the branding process, we shared our vision, values, and goals with them, and they presented different options and explanations of how the ideas linked to our vision. For example, as we said that we liked adventure, they used certain color schemes. They also collaborated with us to create the entire brand identity, including the logo.

Then, Softserve built our WordPress website from scratch, implemented a payment system, and integrated an accounting program. They also did research and helped us choose the right plug-ins for the platform.

Now, customers can register for events and pay for the courses that we offer. We created the content, but they made videos to help us learn how to optimize it.

Softserve is currently advising us on a CRM system, and they will help us build it. They have presented several technology options to create it, from a minimal system to a more complex one. The CRM will automate some of our marketing processes, as well as some of the emails and communications with our existing customers.

What is the team composition?

We work closely with three people: Andrew (CEO), Keiryn (Client Liaison), who is the account manager, and a graphic designer.

How did you come to work with Softserve Digital Development?

I have known Andrew my whole life, and I have a professional relationship with him. I chose to work with his team because I know that he is highly skilled, so I knew that they would deliver great results.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $15,000–$20,000 AUD (approximately $12,000–$15,000 USD). We also pay $200 AUD (approximately $150 USD) per month for hosting services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in June 2018, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We've seen an increase in our website’s traffic, and since setting up the payment portal, we have had no issues with our events. Additionally, we get positive feedback from people on a daily basis about our website and branding.

My team loves working with Softserve, and they feel like a part of our team. We feel heard by them. I was impressed with their creative process and their collaborative efforts to create our brand; I can’t imagine where our brand would be without them.

How did Softserve Digital Development perform from a project management standpoint?

Softserve clearly lays out the scope, timeline, and budget. They’re always available, and when faced with a challenge, they figure out how to make things work.

We use Asana, and we work using the Agile methodology. Additionally, we have check-ins and meetings with Andrew biweekly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Softserve is extremely professional and creative, and they deliver high-quality work. Their approach is constantly evolving. Andrew is honest and realistic, and he clearly presents risks and tells us what is doable, what is not, and what is included in the scope of work.

I’m also blown away by Softserve’s ability to work across various levels. They not only do what we say we want, but they also understand what we’re looking to create with our customers — it’s magical.

Are there any areas they could improve?

To increase their capacity, Softserve needs to recruit and keep good talent.

Take time to share your story, professional brief, dreams, and vision, build a strong relationship in which both of you get to know each other, and fully commit and be involved in the process.

In most sprints Softserve Digital Development has delivered timorously, there are factors beyond their control which have delayed other deliverables. I am however, extremely satisfied with Softserve's work ethic and sense of urgency. Their ongoing support and development elevated our offering to our clients.
