AR app for Product Configuration

The Augmented Reality application allows you to demonstrate a product of any size in real-time under any conditions. All you need is a regular smartphone and our application. The essence of the problem lies in the organization of the transportation of the product, its parts and, even, its configuration.

Such logistic operations cost a lot of money, because the larger the load, the more

expensive its transportation. It also requires numerous documentary permits, because each country has its own rules on the import of goods. The AR app is able not only to reduce the cost of transportation of demonstration goods, but also to reduce to zero such costs, both in monetary terms and in time.

As you can see, the principle of the AR app allows you to create a 3D model and subsequently an AR-asset for the presentation of any equipment even the bulkiest one. Size, complexity, the number of details, potential danger of the product do not play any role. And the most important thing, which is equally important for marketing, sales, and staff training, is that the performance of the presentation is not lost at all due to the incredible realism.

Mobile/Web Application “Uber for Medical Services” Image

Mobile/Web Application “Uber for Medical Services”

Our team decided to explore this concept and created the prototype of Uber for medical services - a database of medical specialists who can consult patients on demand via a user-friendly mobile app. We all need professional consulting from time to time, and the degree of its quality depends on the access to the level of education and experience of medical specialists.

Using these mobile applications

patients can have the best opinion of the qualified medical providers in any comfortable way: via video, audio or a chat. It looks as simple and nice as the original Uber app: a user can find the required specialist, a psychologist, a pediatrician, a general practitioner within just several clicks and contact him immediately. Сomfort provided thanks to technologies.
XR for the Digital Twins of the Equipment Image

XR for the Digital Twins of the Equipment

What is a digital twin? It’s a virtual model of a product that can be seen with the help of virtual/mixed/augmented reality applications.

Using this app, anyone can see a 3D model of this advanced piece of equipment and locate it anywhere in the world. It’s possible to adapt this app to MR glasses or use it as an AR app.

Creating digital twins of the equipment has several serious advantages.

First, it is easier to build a mixed reality application for the visualization of deep drilling machines than to transport new models to the exhibition.

Second, it’s possible to create a scalable 3D model of the machinery which will be fully interactive. What does it mean? A user will be able to look inside the equipment, check how the engines work, and choose the most comfortable size to explore the model.

Remote Assistance for the Equipment Manufacturer Image

Remote Assistance for the Equipment Manufacturer

It's a modern digital tool that can improve the effectiveness of the equipment assembly and maintenance. Using Remote Assistance employees get the chance to communicate with the top experts remotely fixing the most critical bugs faster.

The benefits of Remote Assistance were indisputable:

  1. Real-Time Consultation with the top experts. Users got the
chance to consult experts from anywhere.
  • Chat-based work orders for Accurate and Timely update
  • Flexibility and customization
  • Sound & video streaming
  • Visual annotations ( there are hundreds of methods of information visualization: simple bubbles for the area selection, bubbles located above certain parts of the equipment)
  • Recognition of parts of equipment using QR codes

  • Visual annotations and the possibility to see all the parts of the equipment from all sides enhance the level of comprehension of information and its retention in the future. Even for the non-technical stuff. For the technical stuff, results can be amazing.

MVPCast Live Video Streaming App Image

    MVPCast Live Video Streaming App

MPV Cast Features we Worked on tirelessly
    • High-quality video streaming without delays. This live streaming video application allows non-stop streaming. Failover system improvement (so that users don’t lose the video the internet connection) was a critical solution of the problem of poor Internet connection. It includes buffereazation and offline preservation.
    • Cloud Storage. All the
data is securely stored in the cloud. It makes all the data more accessible, more usable and easier to share. Additionally, it is better in terms of data recovery. We useAmazon Web Services to store the data as we see it as the most optimal and secure solution.
  • Non-stop full HD video streaming. We used Wowza streaming service to provide users with the best streaming quality. It’s professional-grade streaming for any use case and any device. A huge plus of this app is that the number of users doesn’t ’ influence the quality of connection.
  • Сonnectivity/Compatibility with various devices. The app works on 4G on Android and iOS devices. All in all, it’s a video streaming platform that can be used for multiple purposes.
  • XR for comfortable visualization and analytics. Implementation of XR technologies into this live video streaming platform will give users the possibility to detect and track players, determining the speed of the passes, best movements and other useful parameters for coaches and parents.
  • We’ve created unique design for MVPCast after conducting a serious UI/UX research on a potential target group. After all, good UI/UX is based on profound research.

    Chatbot for DevOps Department Image

    Chatbot for DevOps Department

This chatbot was created by our DevOps Department to solve several communication/management problems and to automate repetitive actions increasing the speed of releases.

These are some of the goals we’ve managed to achieve with the help of this chatbot:

    • Collection of Performance Statistics. Our chatbot is able to collect performance statistics. For example, if
the last 10 tasks failed or were successful, the statistics are displayed in red or green, respectively. At the end of the month, a detailed report is automatically created as a file for all projects and their participants.
  • Problematic Situations Prediction. The possibility to predict problems is one of the most valuable features of this chatbot. This feature allows fixing the problem in advance. We can also monitor the activity of users of our products and analyze this data. This gives us the opportunity to choose the most suitable time for new releases.
  • Remote Task Management. For instance, there was a need to copy the database but you don’t have access to PC at the moment. Using a chatbot, it’s easy to send this command via messenger and get things done remotely.
  • Security. Of course, we didn’t neglect security. As the messenger has limited access, only those who passed the authorization can join and send commands so the security part is well-thought as well.
  • Timely Reporting. After receiving this task, the bot is assigned with this simple task and is ready to perform it and report about it. If the task was not successful, it explains the reason for the failure. If it was a success, the bot informs about the details of the task. For instance, it can send the directions of the folder where it is preserved the database.
  • Artificial Intelligence Solution for the Procurement System Image

Artificial Intelligence Solution for the Procurement System

Innovative AI business solutions help to deal more efficiently with the typical retailers’ challenges in the process of procurement.

What problems does AI solve for Nectain?

    • Low effectiveness of users’ routine procurement operations;
    • Low speed of the procurement process in general;
    • High cost of the procurement process;
    • Low-cost effectiveness of sourcing
    for enterprise needs.

Data mining allows detecting unpredictable patterns hidden in the data generated during users’ routine operations for improving the level of their effectiveness.

Machine Learning for e-planning includes the analysis of needs, sourcing planning, and source plan management.

We leveraged AI algorithms for the verification of users’ purchase requests and determination of the most relevant recommendations of profitable positions in real time. With the help of AI algorithms, it is possible to analyze larger amounts of data and offer the most relevant solutions for traditional problems.

The client submitted this review online.

    BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I work as a CTO of Def C, a company creating powerful UAVs for target recognition & tracking, and monitoring.

    OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Softengi?

We wanted to improve the level of accuracy of target recognition, monitoring, and detection by implementing CV technology in existing drones and minimize the chances of human-made errors in the process of target monitoring.

Upgraded with this system, we wanted to make drones more useful for multiple purposes, such as accurate cargo escorting in logistics or leaks monitoring in the utility sector.

Drones powered with the computer vision can also be applied in agriculture and military sectors, and for that, we needed an advanced system which CV can provide.

What were your goals for this project?

The first goal was to increase the amount of accurate actionable data generated daily. The second goal was to improve the speed of the achieved reaction to the data properly. Using drones powered with computer vision, we got the chance to structure the visual data properly and react to it instantly in the most effective way.

    SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We contacted several companies and conducted interviews with the lead architects. Softengi offered the most relevant and cost-effective solution and their step-by-step plan of CV implementation was the most coherent.

Softengi team agreed to improve the onboard plates of drones making them more accurate and more powerful at the same time using Computer Vision technology.

    Describe the project in detail.

A few words about the project. This computer vision software is created for UAV’s onboard plates which are installed on the drones. Softengi created this system for objects recognition, tracking, and monitoring using Python and Open CV library.

This system of object recognition, tracking and monitoring makes video processing possible even without the signal from the base. Another advantage of Def-C powered with CV is the security of data. It’s all accumulated on our own premises so there is no chance of data breach.

    What was the team composition?

There were backend, frontend software developers involved along with QC engineers and UI/UX for web app visualization.

    RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Today we are actively using Drones powered with VC for leaks monitoring in the utility sector. We've managed to increased the accuracy of objects recognition, and this number is growing steadily.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We used several programs, such as Jira, Slack to monitor the workflow and ensure non-stop communication. The project is still unfolding but we didn't face any problems so far and the team manages to stick to the deadline.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We hired Softengi because we saw them as professionals. They are truly and deeply interested in programming and work as digital transformation consultant primarily. Using their expertise in AI, we have managed to expand the application of our drones.

    Feedback summary:

The in-house team is happy with the quality of the code and expanded Softengi’s scope of work, putting them on the same sprint schedule. Softengi has met all expectations, while their proactive approach and ability to identify potential issues with the prototypes earned them trust.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

    BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm a VP of product at a B2B software as a service provider.

    OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Softengi?

We had constrained resources internally, so we were looking for a good option to augment our internal development team.

    SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They work closely with our in-house team on the same sprint schedule, doing a lot of the development work in React. We provide them with the wireframes and, in many cases, a fully functional UI prototype. They're working off of the prototypes and our shared Jira account where they can see all the backlog items.

    What is the team composition?

We have one main point of contact and they've assigned a team of 3–4 developers and a QA person to us.

How did you come to work with Softengi?

Someone from our company had worked with them previously and recommended them.

How much have you invested with them?

    We've spent over $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in February 2018 and the relationship is ongoing.

    RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They do quality work, so we plan to continue working with them. They're also great at identifying potential issues with the UI prototypes that we haven't even seen in the backlog.

How did Softengi perform from a project management standpoint?

We use scrum methodology. We started with an overall project-based approach with them, so we had a specific set of deliverables. After the first project, we decided to make them part of the sprint, so now they’re basically part of our team and take on more tasks. In addition to Jira, we use Shared Instance, weekly video conferences, and email to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We've been very pleased with the quality of their work and their responsiveness.

Are there any areas they could improve?

    I can't think of anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give them as much information about the project as you can. We shared our backlog, wireframes, and UI prototypes with them, so they could see what we were trying to do before we even started our development efforts.

During their 15-year involvement, Softengi has integrated seamlessly with internal personnel, extending capabilities with their technical skills and collaborative focus. The team’s forthright communication, exceptional output, and attentive service continue to drive success.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

    BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the CEO of Volia Software, which is based in Houston, Texas.

    OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Softengi?

Softengi is a sister company of Volia based in Kiev, Ukraine. We primarily do custom development for web and mobile, among other tasks. We use some of Softengi’s staff for certain projects based on their skill levels and our needs.

    SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their staff provides quality assurance, architecture, and custom development on occasion, primarily for weaving web technologies such as .NET. We have been using Softengi’s staff for about 15 years. Some of their resources have been involved in our projects for many years.

    What is the team dynamic?

We've worked with dozens to just a handful of their team, depending on the project. At this time, we have a few of their people working on different projects.

How did you come to work with Softengi?

When Volia was founded, Softengi was already in existence. Primarily, they started with markets in Eastern Europe and then expanded to serving substantial U.S. customers. Our relationship is complementary to our work at Volia, so we don’t step on each other’s toes.

How much have you invested in them?

We have spent well over $1,000,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement started in August 2003, and the relationship is still ongoing.

    RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The Softengi staff has been of the highest quality. There are no issues, and each person is talented. Year after year, their services are renewed by our clients. Their staff members have grown with us and our clients as well. Essentially, they are just an extension of our organization at this point.

How did Softengi perform from a project management standpoint?

Since our companies work closely together, Volia manages the projects and staff members on our team; however, we do work with their executive leadership. The communication has been tremendous. Igor [Account/Business Development Manager, Softengi] is our primary contact, and he and I started as business colleagues and have become friends. We communicate primarily through email, as well as through Skype and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Softengi does exactly what they say they will. To me, in the business world, this is exceptional and important.

Are there any areas they could improve?

From our standpoint, there’s nothing they need to fix.
