Please describe your organization.
Our company is Searchbloom. We are an SEO firm.
What is your position?
I am the CEO.
What business challenge were you trying to address with Social Vantage?
We wanted to increase our social footprint and primarily branding so we would have more social proof. We work very closely with Social Vantage on many of our client’s online presence.
Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.
Social Vantage ran several different like campaigns to increase our Facebook likes and shares. They did a really good job with increasing our social media engagement at a really high velocity.
At the same time the new followers we acquired were very, very strategic types of people. We targeted people that followed specific blog or SEO experts or PPC experts so we could acquire likes with them. They also did all of our LinkedIn and Google Plus and Twitter postings. Nothing within those realms was sponsored posts, but they did all the organic posting.
They were also good with Pinterest, which is hard to find. They took existing content from our website and used that and in some cases boosted. They took existing content that was highly shared across the web and posted that from predominant websites like Forbes or Entrepreneur.com, etc. We don’t collaborate much on anything. They just handle it. They were pretty intensive with their needs analysis when we decided to go with them. The expectations and goals were pretty well set from the get go and they’ve just kind of handled it.
How did you come to work with Social Vantage?
I’ve known the owners for about five years. I searched for a social media management company and found them that way.
Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?
It has cost between $10,000 and $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
It’s ongoing.
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?
Searchbloom is a very new company. We’ve been around for nine months. We started with zero likes. Now we have 3810 likes on Facebook. They’re all super relevant. That’s on Facebook. On LinkedIn we went from nowhere to 21 followers as well as active posting on our page. We went from very few tweets and very few followers to 6300 followers and 12,500 tweets.
How did Social Vantage perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re probably the best at project management in the social media industry. I’m in this business and I just work in a different channel. Their efficiencies in their task management and project management - they’ve got it down pat really, really good. As far as the quality I would score them an 8 out of 10. If I see a misspelling I’ll delete it or fix it. Out of hundreds or thousands of posts we have maybe two or three that were problematic.
What distinguishes Social Vantage from other providers?
Scalability and execution are the two things that they do really well. Social Vantage does a really great job. They manage thousands of clients and quality is really good and they can take on lots of clients at once.
Is there anything Social Vantage could have improved or done differently?
No. They do an excellent job for what we pay them. We’re very happy.

Please describe your organization.
Our company is Clicks Geek. We're a pay-per-click advertising company. We drive leads for our clients, focusing on Google AdWords campaigns.
What is your position?
I am one of the co-founders of the company.
What business challenge were you trying to address with Social Vantage?
We were looking for a company that would help us increase our internal lead generation. We're not very proficient in Facebook advertising campaigns. We were trying to run Facebook ads for ourselves to generate leads, and the cost was ridiculous. We needed a partner to help us lower the cost per lead.
Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.
Social Vantage helped us with our Facebook ads. We created a landing page, and they created ad sets for us. Social Vantage also did testing to see which ads were driving leads and which ads were not. They dropped the ads that weren't working and kept the ones that worked. We are currently running our Facebook ads campaign using the ads that they created for us.
How did you come to work with Social Vantage?
We've known the Social Vantage team for a while. We've done some work for them as well with paid search. That's how I was introduced to them. When we were looking into Facebook, they were the first guys that we contacted. We have a great partnership.
Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative?
The size of the project is $1,000 per month.
What is the status of this engagement?
It's ongoing. We started in March 2015.
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?
Our numbers have changed drastically since we partnered with Social Vantage. Our cost per lead through Facebook ads was $70 to $80, and the conversion rate on our landing page was less than 1 percent. Since we partnered with Social Vantage, our cost per lead has decreased to around $12, and our conversion rate on the landing page increase to more than 12 percent. Those are amazing numbers for Facebook traffic.
How did Social Vantage perform from a project management standpoint?
Social Vantage is excellent from every point of view.
What distinguishes Social Vantage from other providers?
They're on point with their support. If we need anything, we call or email, and there's someone there to help us right away.
Are there areas in which they could improve?
I really can't think of anything, to be honest.
Do you have any advice for a future client of theirs?
Just listen to them. They know what they're doing.

Social Media Marketing Strategy for Entrepreneur
"Social Vantage has been crucial to our social media success."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Please describe your organization.
I am a part of various organizations, one of them being an e-learning company.
What are your role and responsibilities?
I am a part owner in the company.
What business challenge were you trying to address with Social Vantage?
We were trying to build our social footprint. We wanted a strategic approach to social media. We were very interested in using Facebook advertising, and we wanted to work with a partner to set up the strategy and execution plan of the campaign in a successful way.
Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.
We work with Social Vantage to set up our social media campaigns and strategy through Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Google Plus. Social Vantage helps us with content creation and post scheduling. They do a great job of researching and understanding our industry. They work with me and listen to me about the type of information that I'm looking to publish. Social Vantage is a strategic partner for us, not just a vendor.
How did you come to work with Social Vantage?
We found them through Elance initially. We were looking at different service providers, and tried a few. We had bad experiences with other vendors. Social Vantage ended up being the final one that we stuck with, and they are great.
Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative?
Because I am a part of various companies, the cost of social media for each one varies. Overall, the cost of the initiative is in the $10,000 to $50,000 range.
What is the status of this engagement?
I've been working with them for three years [as of July 2015].
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?
Social Vantage has been crucial to our social media success. On one of our Facebook fan pages, we went from zero likes to over 14,000 in eight months. We're getting 1,000 leads a month because of it. We launched a Software as a Service platform and Social Vantage was the strategic partner that drove the majority of the growth.
What distinguishes Social Vantage from other providers?
They really understand the strategic side of social media marketing. A lot of vendors start posting random things on social networks without thinking strategically about what we are trying to do. Social Vantage provides more of a personal touch. They're just really great guys, and communication between us has been effortless. They're willing to adapt and be there when I need them.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
You get in what you get out. When working with a social media firm you need to have good communication. Social Vantage offers that. The client needs to make sure they do their side of the equation, have weekly calls, and feed them content, ideas, and strategy. They don't know what's going on in your business. They're thinking strategically, but they only know what you tell them.
Are there areas in which they could improve, or things you might do differently?
There's always room for improvement. Especially with Facebook advertising, there is a lot to learn. I wish we could have figured out the necessary strategy sooner. I wish I had connected directly with Facebook and got a better idea of their policies. It's very gray on certain phrasing you're allowed to use in the ads. Overall, we are very happy with our strategies and campaigns.
