After quite an extensive onboarding process, we were presented with a launch strategy and complete campaigns built out in Google and LinkedIn. After some back and forth we then launched the campaigns and the Snowball team managed them from there. There are constant optimizations going on as well as regular calls and reports into us to keep us in the loop.

I worked with the entire team of Snowball Creations as far as I know. Everything from overall strategy to product management and campaign optimizations.

I'm the founder and CEO of ForestNation, a social business that only makes products and services that positively impact the planet.
What challenge were you trying to address with Snowball Creations?
We had a proven business model for our products and services and needed to raise awareness for it.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Snowball Creations provides marketing and advertising services to promote our business and generate leads. We've already completed onboarding with their team, diving into our products and offerings. Snowball Creations has provided us with a comprehensive marketing proposal, which we've been giving feedback on.
Almost all of our marketing and advertising work is done through Google — Snowball Creations uses Google Ads and identifies keywords to improve our site traffic. Their team makes regular improvements and suggestions to improve our ads; they produce our ad content. Snowball Creations also provides us with suggestions on how to optimize our landing page copy, layout, and call to action.

Sometimes we can't track leads because they're blocking site cookies, but we're definitely heading in the right direction. On the whole, I'm very happy with the work Snowball Creations puts forward — I rely on their expertise. They've quickly picked up the focus and benefits of our business and translated it into a comprehensive plan.

I am the founder of a luxury all-natural, free-from dessert company selling both in retailers and online through my website. We create indulgent treats that are gluten-free, plant-based, and refined sugar-free - but don't taste like they're free from anything!
For what projects/services did your company hire Snowball Creations, and what were your goals?
We started working with Snowball Creations after struggling to see any traction with our online sales sending bundles of our desserts chilled via couriers. We wanted to scale our online revenue and I didn't have any previous experience or in-depth knowledge of paid advertising.
I had run some campaigns myself for a few months and gotten a pretty minimal return. I was happy to up my paid advertising spend if I was working with an expert that could deliver at least a 2x ROAS. We hired them to help us specifically with Google and Facebook + Instagram advertising.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
The reason I selected Snowball Creations as my digital marketing partner was twofold. I felt they aligned with my company and my values in that they focus on helping ethical, purpose-driven, socially conscious companies grow. A big part of my reason my making the products plant-based was their impact on the environment animal products can have!
Secondly, I felt very comfortable and reassured when talking to them that they weren't the typical agency team just looking to make another sale. They showed serious knowledge and were realistic with me about expected returns. They didn't promise random high return multiples like so many agencies I spoke to. They also offered a month-by-month contract which was far less daunting for me as a young company with limited resources.

Over our time working with Snowball Creations, we spent on average £8,000 a month in ad spend across Facebook and Google. Our work together started with what Snowball called a 'discovery call'. They went through a bunch of questions so that they could get to know my business in detail. They wanted to act as an external marketing director, who is invested in my success.
They looked into our competition, our niche market, our brand values, our sales, profit margin and budget figures, as well as what creatives we had to utilise in a paid campaign.
In this initial call, I also confirmed what I was looking to achieve from our partnership and what I saw as a successful outcome of our work together. Then they went away and put together a detailed Google and Facebook ads strategy which included all the ad copywriting, ad creatives, their plan of action, and a backup plan with their thought process behind it all.
Once we launched our campaign Snowball Creations managed the account on a daily basis giving us regular updates on a joint Slack group and via email. They sent us monthly reports and a quarterly highly detailed report. We had regular calls to talk about the progress and any adjustments that needed to be made, like changes based on results from A/B testing.

I was very pleased with how in-depth their strategy was and how quick they were to make changes and improve on our results. They were pretty much starting from scratch so I never expected to see returns in the first month. But by month two we already had broken even on our ad spend, and by halfway through month 3 we were covering Snowballs fee and our cost from the sales from the campaign. Over our time working with Snowball Creations we grew our ROAS up to 5.4x!

They were very good at communicating promptly via various platforms including email, WhatsApp if required, and Slack where the majority of discussion took place. They were also happy to have a zoom call whenever I wanted to talk.

I love their unique passion and experience in doing digital marketing specifically for positive impact companies. I also found their honesty and openness refreshing in a sea of dishonest agencies!

The first month was a bit scary and we were worried that sales weren't coming in faster and that we weren't going to see a return on our investment. But quite quickly things started to pick up and we saw a strong improvement month on month.
