Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the senior director for Newlink Group, a consulting firm.
What challenge were you trying to address with SN Media Services?
SN Media Services is my first choice for every client’s video production project.
What was the scope of their involvement?
One of our projects was a series of short YouTube videos on behalf of the city of Buenos Aires. They wanted to attract tourists from different cities, including New York City. I spent a week with SN Media Services to film videos in Manhattan and Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We did both interviews and studio work to recreate the stories we found.
It was a dynamic experience—we had to adapt to the weather, location, ongoing events like the New York Marathon, and agenda changes. Sebastian (Camera Operator / Video Editor / Video Producer, SN Media Services) brought his photography and lighting knowledge to make beautiful footage. For each project, he is in charge of all recording; that involves taking control of the teleprompter, camera, lights, and sound, among other aspects. We did the editing in-house.

We started working together in 2013, and the collaboration is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I don’t use metrics with my preferred vendors. It’s just a matter of whether they’re great to work with and meet my client’s needs. With SN Media Services, it’s a pleasure to work with them, the video looks great, and our client is happy. I can’t ask for more.
How did SN Media Services perform from a project management standpoint?
Sebastian is detail-oriented and excels at close communication. He does a great job taking care of each production so that filming runs as smoothly as possible. Because of his skill, he makes it look easy.
What did you find most impressive about them?
SN Media Services has a proactive approach that makes a big difference in every production. Sebastian always goes the extra mile whenever we encounter any challenges or problems. He regularly is there to save the day.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Sometimes, our schedule is too tight to allow Sebastian to be as perfect and detailed as he wants to be. I’ll have to ask him to stop tweaking a shot or an edit to get ready for a client. That’s not a bad thing; it’s just a balance.
Any advice for potential customers?
Sebastian is very friendly and fluent in English and Spanish. He’s someone who likes to have conversations. Make sure you’re open and prepared for that, and you’ll get a great result.
