I am the VP, Employee Benefits Manager of a mid-sized bank with locations across the country and headquartered in Florida and New York.
For what projects/services did your company hire Smile More Business Solutions, and what were your goals?
With the Bank undergoing some major changes in the world of digital banking and our employees scattered across the entire country I felt the employee benefit materials and resources available were outdated and becoming obsolete. We needed a digital solution to gather, present, and distribute benefit information to our employees in way that would be aesthetic yet functional and efficient.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I selected to work with SmileMore because of the ideas and solutions that were being suggested as well as my knowledge of their work ethic. After seeing samples of the work they have done for other clients I felt it would be a good fit.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We started with a few brainstorming sessions via phone calls. After discussing a few possible solutions, proposals were sent for each one.
Once a solution was decided on, we received a rough timeline of when items would would need to be completed by in order to reach our deadline. We provided a very tight deadline and Smile More worked very closely with us on a day to day basis to ensure each task was completed to our satisfaction. There were a few working meetings arranged as well where I could relay immediate feedback and see live updates being made.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Although he made us fully aware he had other individuals working behind the scenes. I only worked with Carlos directly. It was very beneficial for me and my team to have only one point of contact as it saved us time in trying to figure out who works on what before making a request.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The site received great feedback from HR executive management and users were well pleased with the ease and accessibility that this new site offered in comparison with our older resources. Within the first week of it's launch the site received higher traffic than some of our previously launched digital solutions.

Regardless of who worked on which items, Carlos continued to manage the overall project and had access to the entire scope of the project and was therefore able to address items with immediacy. His overall sense of urgency was especially valuable to our team and project.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
What I found most impressive throughout this project was the collaborative nature of work. I did not have a 100% clear vision of what the solution should be and he partnered with me to paint a clearer picture of the end result. It was like adding a new member to the team that helped bring more creativity to the project and an the relevant skillset to help bring it to live.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Our team is quite used to working within a more structured timeline than we did for this project. However, this was a unique project in that we gave Carlos a very tight deadline to work with and offered very little guidance in the beginning because there was no clarity as to what we wanted.
I believe the lack of a structured timeline was in fact the best and most necessary approach to this particular project. There was sample timeline given during the proposal phase and I am confident that if I had given the appropriate amount of time with a more reasonable deadline the timeline would have been observed. All in all they adapt, they make it work.
