BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the marketing manager at a Singapore-based non-profit organization focused on developing and promoting blockchain technology in government and the public sector. I focus on strategy, event planning and team management.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire SM Digital?

We have strong partnerships with major Asia-based blockchain projects and through that, we have opportunities for events and promotions. I wanted to work with SM Digital to increase our level of professionalism and help promote our company through that partnership but also expand to the International markets like the U.S and Canada.

What were your goals for this project?

One of our key goals was to increase our exposure in America as our network in Asia has already developed. We were specifically targeting public enterprises who were interested in blockchain integration. And for that, we needed a strong online presence.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Our headquarters introduced SM Digital to us. They were highly recommended as they had worked on several crypto/blockchain-based projects before. We met with them and we were really impressed with their capabilities.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

First, they developed some marketing collateral, materials and promotional items for us. We gave them an idea of what we needed, but it was very much a blank slate. They came to us with options for marketing elements to give us different ideas at different price levels.

They rebranded our website with a North American feel. They finished it in a timely manner. We got a lot of good feedback from our network of partners on the revamped website.

They provided marketing brochures for some VIP partners. For example, for our partnership with a large Multinational Taiwanese company, we gave away a branded box with Ray-Ban sunglasses and flew them to our headquarters for a private investors' presentation we were hosting.

We ended up raising millions that week in a private placement. Finally, they created an ad for us that went online and in cinemas across Asia before a major blockchain event. The ad received thousands of likes and engagement from our viewers.

What was the team composition?

I worked closely with Jordan and Simon, they were very knowledgeable about blockchain technology but also about marketing, branding and strategy. They have a keen eye for design and made our vision come to life through our website and the video ad.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The Taiwanese company we invited to the investors presentation were all wear the Ray-Ban sunglasses. There were even some social media posts about the sunglasses. They definitely made an impact by helping raise our professionalism and getting attention with some high net worth folks. Those folks were impressed by what we had to offer and some invested a large sum of money into our business. The team was very impressed by our social media footprint, engagement, and online presence.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Excellent. The communication loop was always open--I think I bugged them too much at times. They worked across multiple time zones and worked through some really tough deadlines which they always met.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They're incredibly responsive. They're always available and I appreciate the thorough research that they've done to provide very unique marketing items that make us stand out in a way we've never been able to before. The results speak for themselves as well. We were able to raise a huge sum of money as a result of their initiative.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, I think they do great. I highly recommend them and will definitely hire them again when we are coming up with new marketing initiatives. Our in-house team learned alot from SM digital. Alot of our systems and practices were inspired by them.
