We’re Polish IT company delivering hardware and software for private and government clients. We position ourselves as a service integrator.

What challenge were you trying to address with Skytech IT?

We are working on a project using older technologies, making it hard to recruit developers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Skytech provided development services. They've been integrated into our development team.

What is the team composition?

We have around 10 developers on the project, including Skytech IT’s team.

How did you come to work with Skytech IT?

Our HR department was in charge of this, and I don’t know how they were found. We had some meetings with Skytech IT and gave them some tests, and our main architect accepted them into our development team.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost is €10,000–€16,000 (approximately $12,250–$19,600) per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Skytech in January 2020, and it’s ongoing. We were initially estimating that the project would take 4–6 months, but we’ve been working on it for more than 10 months, and I believe it’s going to take another 2–4.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Skytech IT’s impact on the project was great, and I'm really happy to be working with them. They played multiple roles, and it’s thanks to them that the project is in the place it is now. I don’t think that we would’ve reached this point without them.

How did Skytech IT perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a mix of Waterfall and Scrum project management. The work is for the government. It’s very difficult to arrange Scrum projects in Poland. The high level is a typical Waterfall project, and there are basic Scrum activities at the low level. The product owner is on the client side.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their professionalism has been impressive. They’re not afraid to ask questions or tell us when something is going wrong on the project, even though they’re not a part of our company. In addition, the value and quality of the code they're making are good.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We want to have faster feedback and more information on the procedures and situations they’re not happy with. It will help us make improvements.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I don’t know the whole Skytech IT team, but when it comes to the people I’ve worked with, I’d recommend giving them as much information as possible and letting them do their job. They’re good at what they do.
