Skyrocket Digital was hired by a law enforcement agency to create an online campaign to make people, especially parents and kids, aware of online child luring.
The campaign gained a 4.3% conversion rate, which was higher than the industry average. Skyrocket Digital worked collaboratively, holding bi-weekly meetings to provide updates and discuss progress. The team was also flexible in terms of accommodating sudden changes.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
We provide policing for the city of Vancouver, including crime prevention and safety awareness and education. I am the Communications Specialist.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Skyrocket Digital?
We hired Skyrocket to create an online campaign for raising awareness for kids and parents about online child luring.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We chose Skyrocket because we liked some of their suggested ideas and the proposal they submitted outlining what they could provide for our budget.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We met regularly to discuss their ideas and the progression of the campaign. We supplied them with information and safety tips, and they did their own research, as well. We needed approvals at every stage, which sometimes affected the timeline, but they were always understanding and happy to make adjustments. Once the campaign launched, they kept us up-to-date on the results and suggested ways to optimize the results. We met once the campaign was completed to go over all the numbers and they had great ideas for taking the campaign forward.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with an account executive, the director of client services, the director of growth, a digital marketing specialist, and the creative director.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
I think the most impressive result was the conversion rate -- the average is 1.5% and our campaign was 4.3%.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Things worked very well. We requested meetings every two weeks instead of weekly, which they were very receptive to.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Our budget was low, and we were trying to reach kids aged 7 to 13 and their parents. Breaking through all the white noise confronting people online these days is also difficult. Skyrocket Digital was able to come up with successful solutions.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
Museum of Surrey within the City of Surrey. A museum with historic and cultural exhibits, a kids explore gallery, and who hosts many school groups, events and programs
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Skyrocket Digital?
For graphic design and branding of the feature exhibit "Being Punjabi: Unfolding the Surrey Story". The exhibit was bilingual, English-Punjabi, and reflected the first person stories (words, photos, objects, art)of Punjabis of Surrey
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
The vendor was recommended by members of the Punjabi Advisory Committee who know Mo Dhaliwal at Sky Rocket. We desired to work with a Punjabi connection/company from Surrey to add to the consistency of community integrity of the project, and in the hope this would help with the bilingual aspect of the graphic design
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
Sky Rocket was brought on in the final 6 months of the exhibit project during the implementation (graphic design, printing and fabrication). Being Punjabi: Unfolding the Surrey Story, was the culmination of a three-year journey of exploration and research with the City of Surrey’s diverse Punjabi community (2017-2019).
The idea began after the launch of the Punjabi Canadian Legacy Project, initiated by Royal BC Museum. A discussion with one of the project’s founders, Dr. Satwinder Kaur Bains, Director of the South Asian Studies Institute at the University of the Fraser Valley, encouraged the Museum of Surrey to compliment the project by gathering the voices and stories of Surrey’s Punjabis. In 2017 the museum confirmed this as the first community exhibit in the Museum’s new Feature Gallery.
An advisory committee was formed from Surrey’s Punjabi community. This group of eight people guided the theme, subject matter, and content as well as providing advice on the design and activations in the exhibit. In addition, six city-wide community engagement sessions, broad media coverage, and communication with dozens of community organizations brought people forward who have contributed through stories, objects, images and more.
With over 100,000 Punjabis in Surrey this important assemblage by no means forms a complete picture. These gathered insights provide an important beginning to a legacy project that adds to Surrey’s history. The physical exhibit was built on consultation. We had a community advisory group of influential and academic Punjabi residents who guided the decision making and goals of the project.
Every exhibit panel was written by an individual Punjabi community member. Texts were presented in English and Gurmukhi (a Punjabi script). The exhibit included over 75 photographs, 10 artworks, 100 objects, and 14 videos
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with about 4 people, Project Manager Mo, Chloe (Graphic Design), and a couple other helpers
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The look of the exhibit panels was visually strong and elegant. It was good the colours and style were based in Punjabi culture. The exhibit won multiple awards including 2 from Bc Museums Association for Excellence in Community exhibition, and People's Choice Award. It also recently won an award to be expanded into a Digital Museum of Canada project.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It was fairly good in the early stages. It was a little more confusing in the final high pressure, unexpccted/troubleshooting period just as files were to go to print. There were many edits, and back and forth with the printer, and as I recall, a long weekend (Labour Day) at the time, and it was hard to reach people at Sky Rocket to resolve some fixes the printer needed. Some of this was on museum side too (too many cooks in the kitchen)
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
During initial stages good communication and ability to capture the essence of project ideas, and visualize these.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
More clarity on who the different people we were working with and their roles. We also thought for this specific project Sky Rocket had more capacity to deal with the Punjabi language aspect of the project, and that turned out not to be the case. It would have been helpful to know that more clearly at the beginning. It was a good experience, but you asked for "improvement" so that is the comment

We hired for brand and messaging evolution and site redesign
SOLUTION
How did you select Skyrocket Digital and what were the deciding factors?
Was introduced through a venture capital fund, Get Fresh Ventures. They won the business as had worked with startups in the past and could implement the brand design into the site as we progressed.

6 people whose roles focused on: brand and messaging strategy, marketing strategy, consumer audience engagement, internal coordination, web design, project management
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
There were no measurable outcomes agreed to at the start but generally the website and content design came out really well, most metrics improved over the course of the engagement including pageviews, time on page, session time and users.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
An efficient setup with a client facing coordinator and a project manager who liaises back office operations communications and execution.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Skyrocket are well set up for startups as they have a dedicated team of diversified talent that are very hands on. This produced a 360 degree upgrade to all facets of our business, and they were incredibly responsive to adapting to our needs as we moved through the engagement.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Would have liked longer more frequent meetings. There were a few that got cut short when we needed more time and once we did discuss this and changes were made to accommodate, the end result was much better understanding and cohesion between all parties involved.
Developing system integrations between our CRM and our email system was not achieved but seemingly due to platform limitations.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this

transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
At the time of the project, I was working for a family advisory practice.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Skyrocket Digital?
Our outdated website was a poor reflection of our business, so we wanted to find a talented web designer who could revamp the platform.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Skyrocket Digital was commissioned to create a new web design and integrate their work on our existing platform. We started with a thorough discovery stage, where we explored innovative concepts and discussed our preferences. After refreshing the website, their team updated our marketing collateral with the new design.
What is the team composition?
They assigned an account manager to oversee our project, but we also interacted with their owner and CEO. We also had access to one of their designers if we had questions about the project.
How did you come to work with Skyrocket Digital?
We were introduced to their team at a creative awards ceremony where one of their designers won a prestigious award.
How much have you invested with them?
The project cost us more than $350,000 to complete.
What is the status of this engagement?
They started working on the website in November 2014 and wrapped up in September 2018. Although the platform was nearly finished in 2016, it took a while for our owner to sign off on their work.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Skyrocket Digital delivered an incredible design that accurately depicts our company’s sophistication. Our brand has significantly benefitted from their work.
How did Skyrocket Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
We anticipated a few hiccups working with a remote partner, but Skyrocket Digital navigated the timeline with ease. Our team caused a few delays, but Skyrocket Digital was patient and accommodating with our evolving schedule.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Skyrocket Digital took us through a comprehensive discovery stage, which allowed us to enhance our original vision. In addition to understanding our needs, they exposed us to more innovative ways to present our brand.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Although our owner wanted to use stock photos on the website, using company photos would have added authenticity to the platform.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The key to a successful project is trust and transparency.
